How to avoid it? Along the axis of light-melatonin-reproduction, this paper summarized a theoretical model related to the influence of modern lighting and display on human reproduction from literature and then finds out six possible proofs for this model from the history of humans' exposures to light at night. Although these proofs may all have some loopholes, the four standards for healthy light ray at night proposed by this paper only imitate the nature, namely they are tenable even without these proofs. This paper also have measured the proportion of blue light in various light sources, and have evaluated their influences on reproduction; meanwhile, this paper also has proposed concrete solutions and even has developed relevant LED lamps; At last, some suggestions and warnings were offered.","PeriodicalId":413080,"journal":{"name":"2016 13th China International Forum on Solid State Lighting (SSLChina)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131059758","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With this method, the phosphor layer is separated from LED chip at a distance, so that the extraction efficiency of blue light is enhanced, and the luminous efficiency is increased about 16%, compared with the conventional phosphor coating. With the self-adaptive remote phosphor coating method, the profile (thickness and shape) of phosphor coating layer matched with the angular intensity distribution of blue light emitted by LED chips is realized. The experimental results have verified the remote phosphor coating structure shows very high spatial color homogeneity (SCH) performance, that is, extremely small angular correlated color temperature (CCT) deviations were obtained, which are 206K at average CCT of 4600K.","PeriodicalId":413080,"journal":{"name":"2016 13th China International Forum on Solid State Lighting (SSLChina)","volume":"162 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121386915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

LED light system based on red and blue light has already been applied into plant factory, aiming at providing suitable illumination for plants. To avoid the harm of blue ray to human eyes and skin, we provides a kind of light system for plant factory based on LED with blue, red and green light. The system adopts STM32 as the main control chip, and uses the PWM technology to regulate the LED light intensity. The system has two modes, manual operation mode and plant growth mode, it can switch its working mode automatically. The key difference between these two modes is the existence of blue ray. Since blue ray does harm to human eyes and skin, when people expose to the working environment, the system will turn to manual operation mode which weakens blue ray. At other times, system will go on the plant growth mode. The system can also detect the environmental parameters and adjust the required illumination parameters to fit plant growth in different life cycle. Furthermore, ZIGBEE technique has been used as network connection solution for large plant factory. From the experiments we have conducted, our system achieved satisfying performance, it realizes safety production of the LED light system for plant factory.","PeriodicalId":413080,"journal":{"name":"2016 13th China International Forum on Solid State Lighting (SSLChina)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116980133","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An experiment was carried out in a LED lighting lab with 8 fully functioned LED cubes, which can produce temporal color-varied lighting. 30 Chinese observers (14 males, 16 females, mean age=25.43, SD= 2.86) evaluated 36 Light conditions (2 lightness levels × 2 chroma levels × 3 hue range types × 3 speed) with 25 word pairs questionnaire. 4 atmosphere dimensions were extracted as coziness, soberness, liveliness and warmness. High speed and high chroma is helpful to create liveliness; low speed and low chroma is more cozy. Warm hue range makes intimate and warm space; cool hue range usually increase soberness. Based on the lead frame of a standard 3528 component, WLEDs with various phosphor layer structures were fabricated for investigation. The curvature of the phosphor layer was adjusted by the volume of phosphor slurry. The consumption of phosphor materials was chosen as a control parameter for different structures in the present study. Both ray-tracing simulation and experimental investigations were performed to characterize the optical performance of the WLEDs. Nonuniformity of temperature distribution along the ridge leads to the diversity of confinement factors of the ridge waveguide which inducing poor waveguide stability. Compared to ITO films deposited by electron beam evaporation, tthe ITO films deposited by magnetron sputtering typically have higher optical transmittance and greater electrical conductivities, which can result in higher efficiency for LEDs. However, the surface of LEDs could be damaged due to bombarding of highly energetic ITO particles during magnetron sputtering, which can cause a higher ITO/p-GaN contact resistance. In addition, the n-electrode/n-GaN contact can also be affected by different ITO treatment processes. Therefore, there is still a need to optimize the ITO deposition and treatment processes to minimize the working voltage In this work, the relationship of the ohmic contacts of ITO/p-GaN and n-electrode/n-GaN with ITO deposition and treatment process have been investigated in details, by Circle Transport Line method (CTLM) and Transport Line method (TLM). It is found that a special pre-treatment process for magnetron sputtering ITO films can reduce the working voltage by 0.1V compared to the conventional processes by further lowering the n-electrode/n-GaN contact resistivity. This work can help further improve the luminous efficacy of white LEDs especially in the high power working conditions.","PeriodicalId":413080,"journal":{"name":"2016 13th China International Forum on Solid State Lighting (SSLChina)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114584109","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fatigue damage per cycle used in this study was characterized by the accumulation of plastic work, which was derived by the finite element analysis (FEA). The effects of die attach layer's standoff height and thickness of substrate on fatigue damage accumulation was discussed. The results show that increasing the standoff height of the die attach layer is an effective way to prevent the early crack initiation in gold-tin die attach layer especially for a gallium nitride (GaN) die. It is also indicated that for a GaN die, a thicker die attach layer and a thinner substrate are preferable in order to retain a comparable lifetime with silicon (Si) die and Cu substrate system.","PeriodicalId":413080,"journal":{"name":"2016 13th China International Forum on Solid State Lighting (SSLChina)","volume":"146 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122721464","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
