{"title":"Engaging with peers, mentors and native speakers as language learning partners in an online environment","authors":"Jessica Chakowa","doi":"10.4000/alsic.3864","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.4000/alsic.3864","url":null,"abstract":"Opportunities to interact in the target language have a major impact on language learning and motivation. This paper is based on empirical research conducted at an Australian university. It identifies factors that encourage beginner learners of French to participate in asynchronous online interactions with learning partners of different language proficiency levels: peers, mentors and native speakers. It then highlights the benefits of providing opportunities to engage with multiple partners in accordance with students' attitudes and preferences, which fluctuate over time. This progressive approach takes form in encouraging students to contribute to a shared knowledge and improve their productions, it enables them to experience comfort and authenticity, and ultimately, prepare for real-life situations. {"title":"Favoriser les apprentissages lexicaux dans les écoles isolées : la discussion lexicale à distance au cycle 3 (9-11 ans)","authors":"Anne Sardier","doi":"10.4000/ALSIC.3710","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.4000/ALSIC.3710","url":null,"abstract":"La presente contribution rend compte d'une etude intitulee \"Ecoles eloignees en reseau (EER)\", menee dans le departement du Cantal (Auvergne, France). Nous prenons pour cadre la didactique du lexique et nous interrogeons les effets des discussions en reseau sur le developpement des apprentissages lexicaux dans la langue maternelle d'eleves de 9 a 11 ans. Le role des interactions verbales etant peu etudie dans le domaine de l'enseignement-apprentissage du lexique, il nous a semble interessant d'adopter cet angle de vue pour aborder les effets de ces discussions sur les apprentissages. Les discussions telles que nous les entendons sont, entre autres, basees sur les structures semantiques, syntagmatiques et morphologiques du lexique. Elles prennent aussi en compte les caracteristiques specifiques des discussions a distance (Develotte, Kern & Lamy, 2011). Un dispositif comparatif est deploye sur la base du caractere distanciel ou non de ce que nous nommons les \"discussions lexicales\". {"title":"Pratiques numériques en langues : de la verbalisation à l'analyse des préoccupations enseignantes","authors":"Alice-Hélène Burrows, Grégory Miras","doi":"10.4000/ALSIC.3549","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.4000/ALSIC.3549","url":null,"abstract":"Les dernieres reformes du statut des enseignants-chercheurs marquent une attention particuliere pour la formation a la pedagogie universitaire des (futurs) enseignants(-chercheurs). La mise en place de telles mesures accompagne les transformations structuro-pedagogiques de l'universite (massification de l'enseignement, introduction du numerique) et temoigne de la prise en compte des transformations de la societe (Miras & Narcy-Combes, 2019). Au demeurant, ces transformations provoquent des preoccupations chez les enseignants (Duclos, 2015) et il convient alors de s'interroger sur le role et les effets des dispositifs d'accompagnement au changement. Cette etude s'appuiera sur la mise en place du Pole d'elaboration de ressources linguistiques de l'universite Sorbonne Paris Cite afin de determiner son impact sur le processus de conception pedagogique des 13 concepteurs recrutes. Des entretiens, menes a deux moments du projet, permettront de faire emerger des points centraux quand il s'agit d'accompagner des individus dans la transformation de leurs routines professionnelles.
