There are an increasing number of emerging startups that have embraced this economic model and have become giant enterprises with record-breaking revenues in an abnormally short period of time. But is the Sharing Economy sustainable enough to grow and prosper in the future? This paper investigated the critical success factors behind the promising prospects of the Sharing Economy and concludes that the Sharing Economy is a sustainable economic model. There are various factors behind this premise such as a new emerging class of consumers with a keen interest in sharing; price consciousness; a robust business model; a growing perception of the eco-efficiency of the sharing economy; and an emergent business-to-business (B2B) sector that contributes to operating at maximum capacity. All the aforementioned factors coupled with advances in information technology and software engineering, especially in social media and digital platforms, have created a unique environment for the growth and acceleration of the sharing economy.","PeriodicalId":412361,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 14th International Conference on Software Engineering Research, Management and Applications (SERA)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115167181","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this context, we try to exhibit different approaches and to indicate their strength as well as their shortcomings. This work will help us to evaluate existing approaches and propose other alternatives for Requirement Engineering. The objective of this paper is to present an overview of various works dedicated to requirement analysis and a comparative study of these works. Also, we tried to discuss the combination of Artificial Intelligence with Requirement Engineering.","PeriodicalId":412361,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 14th International Conference on Software Engineering Research, Management and Applications (SERA)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125335460","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this, well-known fairy tale, the Fisherman and the Genie from the Book of the Thousand Nights and a Night, also known as the Arabian Nights, is refined to be used as the narrative storytelling source of the game platform. In addition, the platform is interfaced with brain-computer interface (BCI) and motion sensing assistive devices. This game platform is built on top of the Unity3D engine to provide children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) with a serious game which helps them improve their behavior with dynamically adaptive intervention scheme. Moreover, their brainwaves and motions are captured and identified by the game platform in real-time. The monitored sensing data is stored in the Elasticsearch cloud search engine for real-time and post-performance evaluation of players' behavior and the effectiveness of this behavior treatment mechanism. The main idea of the behavior treatment is to make the narrative contents drive a player and help a cyber character, the fisherman. The real-world player accomplishes the given narrative quests, resulting in helping the fisherman reach his goal. The degree of the player's attention level and his/her fidelity to the given quests directly influence the flow of the game, by enforcing the fisherman to proceed to go fishing or be prohibited from continuing his job. This adaptive intervention affects the entire paths of the game and significantly delays the clearing time of game sessions. As a result, this platform is expected to help children with ADHD improve their level of attention, control their hyperactive behavior, and develop their social skills as they learn how to behave according to the presented narrative game contents. In addition, this behavior treatment approach is evaluated by analyzing the attention and meditation levels, the number of recognized motions, and the completion ratio of the given narrative quests in combination with the recognized sensing data and the associated narrative contents.","PeriodicalId":412361,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 14th International Conference on Software Engineering Research, Management and Applications (SERA)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129582685","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The multi-scale description may help to obtain meaningful granularities of these systems and to understand and master their complexity. This vision enables an architect designer to express constraints concerning different description levels, oriented to facilitate adaptability management. We define a correct-by-design approach that allows a given abstract architectural description to be refined into architecture models. We follow a progressive refinement process based on model transformations; it begins with a coarse-grain description and ends with a fine-grain description that specifies design details. The adaptability property management is performed through model transformation operations. The model transformation ensures the correctness of UML description, and the correctness of the modeled system. We experimented our approach with a use case that models a smart home system for the monitoring of elderly and disabled persons at home.","PeriodicalId":412361,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 14th International Conference on Software Engineering Research, Management and Applications (SERA)","volume":"198 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125729202","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"Building thesaurus lexicon using dictionary-based approach for sentiment classification","authors":"S. Park, Yanggon Kim","doi":"10.1109/SERA.2016.7516126","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/SERA.2016.7516126","url":null,"abstract":"Sentiment classification categorizes people's opinions from the data. Nowadays, people express their personal interests, feelings, and opinions on social media, and the posts on social media are frequently used as the data for sentiment classification. One of the sentiment classification approaches is a dictionary-based approach. A traditional dictionary-based sentiment classification approach uses word matching based on the lexicon. However, many posts cannot be analyzed by traditional dictionary-based sentiment classifier due to the absence of the sentiment words in the lexicon. For this reason, it is needed to expand the lexicon so that the lexicon can contain the words. In this paper, we propose a method to build thesaurus lexicon using dictionary-based approach for the sentiment classification. The proposed method uses three online dictionaries to collect thesauruses based on the seed words, and stores only co-occurrence words into the thesaurus lexicon in order to improve the reliability of the thesaurus lexicon. Also, this method recursively collects thesauruses which are a set of synonyms and antonyms to expand the thesaurus lexicon. This recursive thesaurus collection provides effective expansion of the lexicon from small set without the use of human resource, and the expanded thesaurus lexicon is used to increase availability of posts and used to increase accuracy of the sentiment classification.","PeriodicalId":412361,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 14th International Conference on Software Engineering Research, Management and Applications (SERA)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130631585","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To increase reliability, some frameworks attempt to separate the implementation of business logic and low level implementation details and move the latter inside of framework-implementation in order to allow the developers to focus as much as possible on the problem to be solved while providing the necessary infrastructure into easy to use API's. In this paper we present a framework for message processing which takes advantage of the newer C++11 features to enforce separation of concerns, perform dead-lock avoidance, and encourage unit testing.","PeriodicalId":412361,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 14th International Conference on Software Engineering Research, Management and Applications (SERA)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122822685","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Acting as the force that ensures alignment of organizational business plan(s) with IT, current EA frameworks are techno-centric in that business goals, strategies and governance are considered only from the informational aspects of automation. This means the current EA frameworks do not address the human behavior of stakeholders during EA excluding factors such as the effect of organizational change caused by EA and the new roles, duties, and responsibilities they are assigned. This paper extends previous work incorporating ideas from the Theory of Structuration to address human and organizational behavior as significant inputs to EA. This paper describes human and organizational behavior utilizing an approach to EA that includes preparing the organization, planning, educating and training staff and aspects of organizational and behavioral theory that focuses on communication and collaboration as a part of EA development.","PeriodicalId":412361,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 14th International Conference on Software Engineering Research, Management and Applications (SERA)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117083554","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A critical review of literature has been undertaken to evaluate the existing business sustainability frameworks. Business Sustainability frameworks from a number of domains such as manufacturing, e-learning, agriculture, bioenergy and Information technology has been reviewed. The knowledge gap in this space has been clearly outlined and a number of research questions were derived from this discussion. Based upon this review a framework will be proposed using the inputs from the existing literature. The proposed framework will be validated by interviewing domain experts. Once validated the framework would be applied to two different ICT businesses either from Australia or overseas. This will be a case study based research where the two ICT companies will be assessed using the proposed framework and the results from this case study will be used to draw generalized conclusions related to the sustainability of ICT businesses.","PeriodicalId":412361,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 14th International Conference on Software Engineering Research, Management and Applications (SERA)","volume":"34 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116139977","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
