Through calculating and comparing the cut-off wave numbers with theoretical referenced values of the rectangular guide filled with different width of dielectric, the correctness of the new method is verified. In addition, the cut-off and dispersion characteristics of H-waveguide filled with multilayer dielectric is numerically computed and analyzed. The method is more effective to calculate some complex dielectric problems. It is of important referenced values for design and application of microwave and millimeter wave components.","PeriodicalId":409971,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126361886","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a first step, the FDTD-type grid is adopted. Thereafter, the Maxwell equations in integral form are discretized into the Maxwell Grid Equations through FIT and the eigenmode equation is obtained. Assigning material properties and boundary conditions, the eigenmode problem for a 3D geometry is established and then solved.","PeriodicalId":409971,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology","volume":"202 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129043780","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a new two stage hybrid approach to the cancellation of clutter echoes in modern AEW radar systems equipped with digital beamforming. Since the new scheme requires a limited computational load, compared to the original two stage hybrid approach, the proposed scheme can be regarded as practical solutions for robust and effective STAP of nonhomogeneous radar data.","PeriodicalId":409971,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129111985","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A systematic comparison is given for the leaky characteristics of the n=-1 space harmonic of TM mode polarization between the present antenna and the traditional one. It has been found that the former not only has the advantage of lower conductor loss, but also is of larger leakage constant than the latter. As a result, the dimension of the antenna could be largely reduced, which is of practical significance for some applications. Extensive numerical results of the radiation characteristics are given to establish useful guidelines for the design of the new grating antenna. Furthermore, special features such as cancellation or resonance effects are high-lighted and discussed. Physical insights for the mathematical findings are also presented.","PeriodicalId":409971,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117201656","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
