Based on metagenome library, bioinformatics methods is a powerful tool for screening genes with new biological activities from uncultured microorganisms and become a breakthrough in research and application of biotechnology. In this study we selected and used the samples DNA QT2 which had high DNA content and purity from a total of 6 DNA samples of sponge-associated microorganisms collected in Quang Tri sea (Vietnam) for metagenomic sequencing (DNA concentration is 202.5 ng, A260/ A280 value is 1.80). 16S rRNA metagenomic sequencing data of QT2 produced 44,117,722 reads, which were assembled into 120,236 contigs. ORF prediction using Prodigal produced 386,416 ORFs. Functional annotation was conducted based on 7 different databases (NR, COG, CAZy, Swissprot, GO, KEGG, Pfam), and there are 266,553 genes were annotated using Swiss-Prot. In addition, based on the obtained metagenomic data, 50 complete genes encoding protease inhibitor proteins were revealed and among them, 28 genes encoding protein (> 50%) belonged to the serine protease inhibitor family, and 22 genes genes encoding belonged to the Inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor group. NCBI BLAST screening results that these proteins had higher 50% identity to protease inhibitors. ","PeriodicalId":409863,"journal":{"name":"TAP CHI SINH HOC","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125455201","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cream with 0.4% carbomer was infused with silver nanoparticles for high uniformity and long-term stability. At concentrations of 50–250 ppm, nanosilver-infused cream proved to be effective against mastitis pathogens such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Nanosilver cream at concentrations of 150 ppm had the best effect on clinical and subclinical mastitis prevention in dairy cows. Combining nanosilver cream with ceftiofer antibiotic achieved excellent treatment rate, up to 93.33%. For prevention of dairy mastitis, silver cream can be used at a concentration of 150 ppm 15 days before calving and for the whole milking period. Using nanosilver cream in combination with antibiotics led to highly effective mastitis treatment. ","PeriodicalId":409863,"journal":{"name":"TAP CHI SINH HOC","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115922383","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These fatty acids are essential for survival and growth of many marine fish larvae. In this paper, fresh biomass of S. mangrovei PQ6 was used for culturing rotifer Brachionus plicatilis. In the first formula (L1), rotifers were fed on baker’s yeast; in second formula (L2), rotifers were fed on mixed two microalgae, Nannochloropsis oculata and Chaetoceros gracilis; in the third formula (L3), rotifers were fed on S. mangrovei PQ6 biomass. The results indicated that S. mangrovei PQ6 biomass can replace baker’s yeast and autotrophic microalgae in feeding rotifers. Total lipid, total fatty acid and polyunsaturated fatty acid contents of rotifers fed on formula 3 (S. mangrovei PQ6) were higher than those within others. High polyunsaturated fatty acid (C ≥ 20) in omega-3 and 6 groups; DHA and DPA contents of rotifers fed on S. mangrovei PQ6 were the highest, accounting for 39.81% of total fatty acid; 41.95% and 8.24% polyunsaturated fatty acids, corresponding to 20.52; 12.15 and 2.4 mg/g of dried weight, respectively.The survival rate of black sleeper’s larvae was highest when they were fed on rotifers grown on L3 formula (51.20 ± 0.89%), followed by L2 formula (48.70 ± 2.67%) and the lowest with L1 formula (43.44 ± 1.54%) (P < 0.05). However, among three formulas, no significant difference was found in the growth of black sleeper’s larvae (P > 0.05). These results suggest that biomass of S. mangrovei PQ6 can replace traditional feed like autotrophic microalgae or baker’s yeast for biomass culture of the Brachionus plicatilis rotifer for rearing black sleeper’s larvae to enhance seed quality to meet demands of market. ","PeriodicalId":409863,"journal":{"name":"TAP CHI SINH HOC","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130225460","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It plays a crucial role in plant growth and development. In this study, we investigated the impact of zerovalent cobalt nanoparticles on the photosynthesis and expressing of gene involving in this process in leave of soybean Glycine max (L.) Merr “DT26” at different growth stages. The results showed that treatment of zerovalent cobalt nanoparticles made in Vietnam and USA (with two doses of 0.17 and 16.67 mg/kg of soybean seed) enhanced the photosynthesis of soybean by increasing the content of chlorophyll a and the ratio of Fv/Fm compared with the control (without treatment of zerovalent cobalt nanoparticles). These values tended to increase and reached the maximum value at 40 days and then decreased in at 70 days. The expression level of photosynthesis-related genes of soybean leaves also changed depending on the soybean‟s growth stage and concentration of zerovalent cobalt nanoparticles being treated. The genes psaA, Lhca, psaB, Cytb6f (belonging to photosystem I) and psbA, psbB, psbC, psbD, psbE (belonging to photosystem II) in the experimental fomulas were higher expressed than that in control group at 20 and 70 days. However, at 40 days, the expression levels of these genes were significantly different. Obtained results supplied the basis for understanding the active mechanism of the above genes to control/regulates photosynthetic activity of plants with and without the presence of zerovalent cobalt nanoparticles as well as under stress conditions.","PeriodicalId":409863,"journal":{"name":"TAP CHI SINH HOC","volume":"138 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127014783","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Dendritic cells (DCs) is the most professional antigen-presenting cells among innate immune cells to exert generation and maintenance of immunological memory mediated through activation of T and B lymphocytes. The STAT signalling pathway plays a regulatory role of maturation and differentiation of immune cells. In this study, DCs were treated with inflammatory cytokines including TNF-a, INFg, IL-2 and IL-10 and subsequently examined the phosphorylation of STAT-1 and STAT-3, TNF-α concetration in cell suspension and the proportion of Annexin V+ and caspase 3+ cells. Methods used for this investigation include western blotting, flow cytometry and ELISA. DCs were derived from mouse bone marrow cells and cultured with GM-CSF for 8 days. As a result, IL-10, but not other cytokines enhanced the number of Annexin V+cells and caspase 3 activity in DCs. More importantly, IL-10 also increased the phosphorylation of STAT-1 as well as the release of TNF-α into cell suspension. In conclusion, activation of STAT-1 might relate to the cell apoptotic death and TNF-α sectetion in IL-10-treated DCs.","PeriodicalId":409863,"journal":{"name":"TAP CHI SINH HOC","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130846252","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, the floristic composition of four habitats where the silvered langur were observed feeding was analyzed. These habitats include cliffs, slopes, the peak of the Chua Hang karst and the adjacent mangroves. We identified 185 plant species belonging to 61 families distributing across the habitats, and the silvered langurs fed on 60 plant species of 37 families. Among food plants selected by the silvered langur, 41 plant species were distributed on the cliff, followed by the slope (31 species), the peak (24 species), and the mangroves (4 species). The silvered langurs fed on about 67% of plant species on the cliff. Plant species richness of the slope areas was highest (at D=0.45, D: Simpson index, and d=20.0, d: Margalef index) compared with the other habitats. The floristic composition of the cliff, slope and peak was quite similar to each other, with the similarity index (SI) ranging from 0.47 to 0.56. The results showed that four plant species, Phyllathus reticulatus Poir, Ficus rumphii Blume, Streblus ilicifolia (Kurz.) Corn. and Cayratia trifolia L. were consumed throughout of the year.
