It is expected that the life of the test contactor is in few millions, which the back - up contactor may not be able to support as during each make - break operation there is heavy erosion of contact material due to arcing. It demands frequent maintenance or even replacement of the back - up contactor to complete the AC-3 electrical life test. The paper reveals about the development of a test set up to perform AC-3 electrical life test upon the test contactor using a high power hybrid back up contactor which will provide millions of arc less switching. At the outset it explains about the control & power circuit and then discuss in detail about the prototype development and performance evaluation of the test set up done upon the test contactor. The test results reveal about arc less breaking operation of the hybrid contactor at 415V, 2.1kA, 50Hz, 0.35 power factor with no pit marks, crater formation and contact erosion. But like any transformation, an effective analysis is largely dependent on the noise characteristics associated with the acquired signal, which inevitably degrades its performance. A quantitative evaluation of the impact of both filtering regimen and wavelet family on vibration analysis is presented in this paper. The classification error associated with the training of a Radial Basis Function (RBF) Neural Network is used to quantify the performance of different filtering routines and wavelet families. Pure optical wavelength routed networks are the future of backbone networks. These networks incorporate technologies like dense wavelength division multiplexing and generalized multiprotocol labeled switching for its control plane. To optimize these networks, efficient traffic engineering, dynamic routing and wavelength assignment techniques need to be incorporated to improve connection blocking probabilities. The working of this instrument is based on the measurement of the differential Doppler shift as a function of time, by beating two light signals reflected from moving surface of the target material, at two different instants of time separated by a small time interval of the order of a fraction of nanosecond to a few nanoseconds. The developed model is simulated and characterized in time as well as in frequency domain. The validation of the model has been carried out using correlation between the phase profile (equivalently fringe shift) measured in high strain rate (~104 s-1) experiments and that predicted by the model using velocity profile as input generated from the hydrodynamic simulations. The dynamics of the wind turbine (WT) are derived from the single mass model. The control objective is to maximize the energy capture from the wind with reduced oscillation on the drive train. The generator torque is considered as the control input and it depends on the optimal rotor speed which is derived from the effective wind speed. The effective wind speed is estimated from the aerodynamic torque and rotor speed by using the modified Newton Rapshon (MNR). Initially the conventional sliding mode controller (SMC) is considered. The control performance of SMC was compared with Backstepping Sliding Mode Control (BSMC) for different level of disturbance. The conventional SMC and proposed BSMC are tested with mathematical model and validated through the different mean wind speed. Remote sensing image fusion not only improves the spatial resolution of the original multispectral image, but also improves the spectral quality of merged product. Quantitative and qualitative digital image fusion is an emerging research domain that motivates the scholars for producing high quality image with best multi-spectral capabilities. PAN Sharpened images endow with increased interpretation capabilities as data with various distinctiveness are combined and process effectively. The objective of satellite data fusion is to reduce uncertainty and minimize redundancy in the merged image while maximizing relevant details particular to remote sensing applications. Horticulture in India having great impact on agro based economy. It motivates us for carrying research as very few attempts are made in order to address the issues pertaining with horticulture application of remote sensing. Here OptiSystem is used as simulation tool to simulate the link for the data-rate of 2.5 Gbps and wavelength of 1550 nm. The minimum value of Bit Error Rate (BER) achieved is greater or equal to 10-9 for optimized link range. This paper investigates the impact of Squirrel Cage induction generator (SCIG) and Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) on the power system small signal stability. Here considered wind generators are SCIG which is fixed speed and DFIG is variable speed. Small signal stability study has been conducted on a modified IEEE 14 bus system with SCIG, DFIG wind turbine systems and their simulation results have been analyzed in this paper. Fixed speed wind generators are more simple to operate and reliable but they are limited as energy output of a wind turbine and stability issues are consider. Variable speed wind generators of similar rating improve stability of the system.
