To optimize these networks, efficient traffic engineering, dynamic routing and wavelength assignment techniques need to be incorporated to improve connection blocking probabilities. Abstract
Telecommunication networks have had massive transitions from circuit switched networks to pure optical networks. Pure optical wavelength routed networks are the future of backbone networks.
