This is the most favorable time to develop a child's emotional intelligence (EI), which is an important factor for further social, emotional, and cognitive development. Parents and teachers are important actors in a child’s social environment and can have a significant impact on a child's emotional development and behavior. Adults with high emotional intelligence can teach a child empathy, emotional perception, problem-solving, and other skills, as well as help the child learn to manage their emotions, understand and express feelings, and find appropriate ways to control inappropriate behavior or resolve conflicts. High emotional intelligence also correlates with the ability to understand a child's behavior better and choose appropriate educational strategies. In Lithuania, there is a lack of comprehensive research on the expression of EI among pre-school children’s parents and teachers, and differences identified between the public and private pre-school education sectors can be useful in further analyzing factors related to education quality. In this context, we aim to analyze the characteristics of EI among parents and teachers of pre-school children, as well as the differences that occur between representatives of private and public education sectors. \u0000Methods. Emotional intelligence was assessed using the Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale, which consists of 33 statements (Schutte et al., 1998). \u0000Results. It was determined that the overall EI score of the participants was higher than average. After comparing EI indicators of different education sectors, it was determined that private sector educators have statistically significantly higher EI scores than their public sector counterparts. Parents with children in private sector education institutions had the highest EI level, while educators of the public sector education institutions had the lowest. No emotional intelligence differences based on gender were identified. \u0000Conclusions. Educators in the private education sector have higher EI compared to their public sector counterparts. Parents choosing private education sector for their children have the highest EI levels in the entire study population. \u0000Keywords: emotional intelligence; teachers; parents; early education; different types of educational institutions.

There are many examinations of doping in individual sports but less so in team sports. Methods. A simple decision theoretic model is constructed and analysed for the doping incentives and decisions of team member in professional sports. Results. Depending on the detection probability and the punishment of dopers, team sports members do not dope at all, at a medium or at the maximal level. The whole team has a higher incentive than an individual team member that at least some of its members dope. Conclusion. The doping incentives are different in team sports compared to individual sports. That there are less proven cases of doping in team sports could be because doping is less effective or because the incentives to cover it are higher than in individual sports. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) calculation methodology (Tier 1 method) was used for the analysis of the data obtained. As research data, the electricity and natural gas consumption amounts used in 2021 in 2 sports complexes located in Ardahan University Campus were used. The research was limited to Ardahan University due to insufficient data and pandemic conditions. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained, the carbon footprint of 2 sports complexes for 2021 was calculated as 7,621,285.5 tons. According to the calculations, 98.4% of the carbon footprint of the sports complexes on the university campus is due to natural gas consumption. This situation can be attributed to the need for natural gas from an intense heating source due to the long and harsh winter seasons due to the geographical location of the province of Ardahan. As a result, it can be said that in order to reduce the carbon footprint of sports facilities, it is necessary to turn to renewable energy sources, to use materials suitable for recycling in the construction of the facilities and to control waste generation. Keywords: environmental sustainability, carbon footprint, sports, sports facilities, sustainabledevelopment.

However, the introduction of the athletic training (AT) profession can bridge the gap in sports treatment and rehabilitation by creating a solid foundation for athletes, especially at the high school level. After 12 years of establishing the course of study in Jamaica, athletic trainers (ATs) are still not recognized and are unable to practice.\u0000Purpose: The purpose of this study was to highlight the aspirations of the athletic training profession in Jamaica.\u0000Methods: The study was conducted using an explanatory case study design that used an open-ended survey to collect data from AT graduates. A total of 20 participants were selected using a combined sampling method that utilized purposive and snowball sampling techniques. Google forms were used to create the open-ended questions and a content analysis method that utilized multi-analyst coding was used to establish relevant themes and categories from the responses.\u0000Results: The results of the study indicated that graduates are fnding it extremely difcult to get jobs as athletic trainers, due to the lack of awareness, promotion, and ambiguity of AT in Jamaica. Despite the challenges, graduates believed that a national AT association is crucial for seeking licensure and promoting awareness of the profession in Jamaica.\u0000Conclusion: If recognized, ATs can signifcantly help to boost sports treatment in Jamaica and contribute to greater sporting performances.\u0000Keywords: allied health professionals, athletic trainers, developing profession.\u0000 \u0000

This artifcial intelligence (AI) language model has over 100 million subscribers worldwide, generating many discussions concerning its accuracy, advantages, and threats to science and education. Its accuracy in law, linguistics, mathematics, and medicine has already been evaluated. Most results suggest that ChatGPT could generate a passing grade in these domains. However, its performance in sports science and psychology has yet to be tested. The large amount of information in this general area may yield more accurate performance. Still, specifc subjects in the feld, with controversial research fndings, can lead to signifcant errors, which teachers and researchers could quickly spot. In this study, ChatGPT was tested on its accuracy on exercise addiction, a sports science and psychology subject associated with more than 1,000 publications. ChatGPT gave several correct answers to 20 questions but failed the test with 45%. Its performance was like in other already tested subjects. However, when prompted to write a general introductory editorial on AI’s role in sports, ChatGPT performed well. Plagiarism detectors could not identify the AI-originated text, but AI detectors did. Therefore, it can be concluded that the system does a relatively good job on general issues but needs further development in more specifc areas. Students and scholars cannot rely on ChatGPT to do their job. Still, future versions could yield dilemmas of originality since the system does not provide information for its source(s) of information.\u0000Keywords: artifcial intelligence; computers, information; language model; plagiarism.

Appropriate emotion regulation is crucial for medical students to properly prepare for the practical part of their career. Emotion dysregulation, however, is associated with maladaptive emotion regulation strategies, which in turn often causes higher levels of anxiety. This could lead to difficulties concerning the studying process and preparation for the future career. This research is conducted due to the lack of previous studies. \u0000Methods. Medical students of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences participated in an online survey. There were a total of 98 female and 18 male students, mean participant age M = 21,6 (SD = 2,21). The survey consisted of 3 questionnaires – Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire – Short Form (CERQ-SF), GAD-7 and sociodemographic questions. Scales were used to assess emotion regulation strategies and subjective anxiety levels. \u0000Results. Female students experience higher levels of anxiety compared to their male counterparts. High levels of anxiety are associated with year 2–6 students; 1st year students are the only ones experiencing low levels of anxiety. However, it is worth mentioning that no statistical significance groups was found in those groups. Results suggest a weak negative correlation between adaptive ER strategies and anxiety, with a moderate positive correlation between maladaptive ER strategies and anxiety. No statistical significance was found between genders, years of study or age concerning the use of ER strategies. \u0000Conclusion. The measures of social and physical isolation during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic had an influence on people’s way of life and mental health. It was noticed one of the biggest problems during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic was an increase of negative emotions and decrease of physical activity among people that usually do sports. In the article, the main attention is paid to emotional states of people attending sports and health clubs during and after the period of the Covid-19 pandemic. \u0000Methods. The following research methods were applied: SAN questionnaire, interview survey and the situation anxiety assessment scale by Spielberger and Khanin. A Chi square (χ²) test was applied for the comparison of the results between the researched groups. The research was performed in the academic year 2021/2022 and 97 physically active people that did sports in sports and health clubs, including 35 women and 62 men, were researched. \u0000Results. The results revealed the people attending sports and health clubs assessed their well-being during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic in the following way: even 46 percent of the researched assessed it as low, 37 percent indicated the average level and 17 percent – the high level. However, after the Covid-19 pandemic, just 24 percent of the researched assessed their well-being as low, 34 percent indicated the average level and 42 percent – the high level. The people that attended sports and health clubs assessed their activity during the pandemic: 48 percent indicated the low level, 31 percent – the average level, and 21 percent – the high level. These indexes became better after the pandemic: 28 percent assessed their activity as low and average, and 44 percent – as high. The pandemic restrictions also had a big influence on the mood of those researched: the level of the mood of the researched attending sports and health clubs was low with even 47 percent, average with 23 percent, and high with 30 percent. However, the mood indexes were distributed after the pandemic: 22 percent indicated the low level, 25 percent – the average level and 53 percent – the high level. It was noticed even 58 percent of the researched assessed their situation anxiety as high during the pandemic, 23 percent – as average, and 19 percent – as low. Meanwhile, after the pandemic, the same researched assessed their situation anxiety in the following way: 49 percent – as low, 25 percent – as average, and 26 percent – as high. Conclusions. The indexes of well-being, activity, mood and situation anxiety of people attending sports and health clubs were much better after the Covid-19 pandemic than during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic. \u0000Keywords: Covid-19, sports and health clubs, emotional state, well-being, activity, mood, situation anxiety

Their use ranges from very formal sports data presentations (e.g., the introduction of the results from worldwide studies) to less formal occasions (e.g., promotion of any physical activity on social media sites). While the graphical design of sports infographics might be greatly facilitated by modern infographic tools, the formulation of captivating textual information, especially in titles and subtitles, remains a complicated task for their designers. Therefore, the study aims to analyze the most common tactics and practices applied when formulating titles and subtitles in sports infographics. \u0000Methods: 50 sports infographics targeting the areas of fitness, running and training were chosen for the current study. The content of their titles and subtitles was analyzed using MAXQDA Analytics Pro 2020 software. \u0000Results. The results revealed that the most frequent words used in titles and subtitles of sports infographics were training, performance, results, running, endurance, fitness and strength. While the average length of titles was 8 words, the subtitles were made of 2 words on average. Most commonly, the main titles of sports infographics displayed a combination of tactics and were made of two parts separated by a colon. The subtitles were usually formulated with the use of lists, examples, facts, explanations, opinions, teasers or the technique of 5Ws. \u0000Conclusion. Whole-body hyperthermia (WBH) has a negative effect on mental performance. In this study, we investigated whether short-term whole-body immersion in water at 45°C (HWI-45°C), which induces a strong neurotransmitter and temperature flux without inducing whole-body hyperthermia, would impair mental performance in humans. \u0000Methods: Fourteen men (aged 25±6 years) were enrolled in this study and participated in three experiments: (i) a brief (5-min) immersion of the whole body in 37°C water (WI-37°C); (ii) a brief (5-min) immersion of the whole body in 45°C water (HWI-45°C); and (iii) a control trial in a thermoneutral condition at an ambient temperature of 24°C and 60% relative humidity. Before and after immersion, cognitive performance was tested. All tests were performed in a quiet and semi-darkened laboratory. \u0000Results: Baseline simple, 2-choice and procedural reaction time and percentage of correct answers did not differ significantly across all trials. 2-choice reaction time was reduced (i.e. faster reaction) only after immersion to 37°C water. Interestingly, only whole-body immersion to 45°C was a sufficient trigger to reduce procedural reaction time. \u0000Conclusion: young healthy men do not deteriorate in response to whole-body hot water immersion for a short duration.
