These compilations are a major reference for those who came after him, and for the classifications that adopted collecting his sayings, questions of his students to him, the analysis of those sayings and conclusions drawn from his sayings, highlighting its implications, and comparing that with that of other hadith narrators and critics. This matter is one of the most majestic issues of hadith sciences that should be well taken care of and singled out for classification, due to the need for it in weighing hadith authenticity and its narrators. The research has showed the need to take care of relative documentation that is associated with a sheikh, student, place, time, or others, because of its great impact on the narrator and the narrative, what is narrated. It is imperative to consider these aspects when judging narrators and hadiths. Some narrators according to Imam Ahmad may be in a different situation as their sheikh’s circumstances are different, or different place of their narrative, or time difference of narration. The author has tracked down these aspects and has compared them with other opinions of hadith critics who may agree or disagree with him. The research has also showed that Imam Ahmad had done relative documentation of some narrators comparing himself to other narrators. The researcher has concluded that most of these relative documenters are peers in terms of age and hadith memorization, and that their authenticity ranks are similar to each other. Hadith narrators and critics may differ with Imam Ahmad in this comparison, or agree with him.","PeriodicalId":40915,"journal":{"name":"Al-Bayan-Journal of Quran and Hadith Studies","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2022-03-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85921358","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In harnessing public support, the Qurʾān is extensively utilised by the party leaders to justify their political agenda. In this regard, it is important to note the significant contribution of its prolific president, Abdul Hadi bin Awang. Despite the extensive influence of his Qurʾānic exegesis, it has yet to be sufficiently analysed. Therefore, this paper discusses the methodological trend of his political interpretation of the Qurʾān and analyses its widespread impact on the society. In fact, this theory of kulliyyāt al-tafsīr can rival the Izutsu’s semantic theory espoused by some contemporary Quranic scholars. Therefore, this article seeks to explain the concept of kulliyyāt al-tafsīr thoroughly and at the same time reveal its significance in the field of Qur’anic exegesis. Through the collection of data related to kulliyyāt al-tafsīr scattered in various books of tafsir and ʿulūm al-Quran, the study can conclude that kulliyyāt al-tafsīr is a general conclusion produced by the exegetes about words and styles contained in the Quran. The significance of this theory can be highlighted through the identification of the role played by kulliyyāt al-tafsīr in the field of exegesis.","PeriodicalId":40915,"journal":{"name":"Al-Bayan-Journal of Quran and Hadith Studies","volume":"19 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2022-03-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73713395","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Copying this manuscript requires precision in various aspects, especially in the aspect of writing because it is a scripture that needs to be preserved. Since at that time there was no evidence to say that there was a body that checked the accuracy of the writing method, then a study on the aspect of the fawāṣil is very necessary to do. This study focuses on the Terengganu Quran manuscript IAMM 2012.13.6 which is a collection at the Islamic Art Museum Malaysia. The objective of this study is to look at the aspect of fawāṣil which is one of the important aspects in the writing of the Quran. In addition, the meaning aspect of the sentence is also examined to see if it has implications that can change the meaning of the sentence. Qualitative research methods are used to examine the text of the Quran from surah al-Baqarah and the data are analyzed using inductive and deductive methods. The same method is also used to examine aspects of sentence meaning. The results of the study found that there is a difference of fawāṣil in the Terengganu Quran manuscript if seen in the view of the scholars fawāṣil. Differences in this aspect have led to the effect of sentence interpretation. However, this difference does not change the law because the place of the difference does not occur in the sentence of law. The results of the study also prove, most likely that the writer of this manuscript has its own method based on the knowledge available at that time.","PeriodicalId":40915,"journal":{"name":"Al-Bayan-Journal of Quran and Hadith Studies","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2022-03-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80942196","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Allah, in His mercy, created means of immunization for the people. Immunization is more effective than any other means of controlling contagious diseases. Quarantine is also one of the most important means of curbing the spread of epidemic diseases in the contemporary era. The Prophet (PBUH) in several hadiths unequivocally explained the principles of immunization and quarantine. He prohibited people from entering the place affected by plague and prohibited the people of the place from leaving it. The aim of this paper is to study immunization and quarantine in the light of the Prophetic traditions with reference to the UAE’s COVID-19 infection control. The relationship between the two principles and the Prophetic traditions can thus be made clear. The research employs the analytical qualitative method using library-based research, examination of both primary sources of Islamic legislation (the Quran and the Sunna) and secondary sources (classical and modern literature of Muslim scholars). The research finds that there are a number of Prophetic traditions that mention medical immunization and quarantine. If put into practice, they would have a great impact in curbing the surge of any communicable disease and providing cure for other diseases.","PeriodicalId":40915,"journal":{"name":"Al-Bayan-Journal of Quran and Hadith Studies","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2022-03-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91218361","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article relies on the inductive approach to find out this type of hadiths and to point out scholars’ opinions about them. It also uses descriptive and analytical approach in explaining the significance of Shari’ah rules and studying problematic hadiths. The present articles confirms that these rules have legal origins, that they cover all Islamic subjects and that they are considered as a source if Islamic Shari’ah. Accordingly, a real contradiction between them and hadiths cannot be imagined. It also emphasizes the importance of these rules as a standard used to unveil the actual meanings of hadiths and shows scholars’ keenness on eliminating the seeming contradiction in problematic hadiths.","PeriodicalId":40915,"journal":{"name":"Al-Bayan-Journal of Quran and Hadith Studies","volume":"43 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87068927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, the question about its usage in determining the meaning of a hadith arises. This is due to the existence of an agreed method that explains a hadith based on relevant hadiths. This study will look at the practice of authoritative sources of commentaries books in understanding every matter that is attributed to the Prophet SAW. It used a qualitative approach with the methodology of content analysis. The findings show that the usage of weak hadith at least plays two roles. First, the weak hadith serves to weight one of many conflicting hadith's meaning along with other Islamic legal text. Secondly, it becomes evidence for a meaning that has probability or iḥtimāl in a hadith that it may convey. There are three conditions that have been set for the hadiths that can be used. First, it cannot be categorized as very weak. Second, the meanings of the hadith are stated by other evidence. Third, the meaning of the hadith does not contradict the hadith that is in a higher status.","PeriodicalId":40915,"journal":{"name":"Al-Bayan-Journal of Quran and Hadith Studies","volume":"19 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86136210","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These hadiths are known as al-Qasas al-Nabawi. The approach to conveying the story is one of the uniqueness of the Prophet SAW in conveying knowledge and education. This study aims to examine the method of writing the works of al-Qasas al-Nabawi, which are compiled by modern writers and not presented thematically in major hadith works such as Kutub al-Sittah or Kutub al-Tisah. Abu Ishaq al-Huwaini and Umar Sulayman al-Asyqar are among the modern writers who have compiled these hadiths relating to al-Qasas al-Nabawi in their works. However, there are differences in the method of compilation and presentation of this hadith by the two authors, although authentic hadith were used as the basis of the study. The methodology of this study uses a qualitative study design with the method of content analysis on the work of al-Qasas al-Nabawi by Abu Ishaq al-Huwaini and Umar Sulayman al-Asyqar. The results of the study found that these two scriptures use the same method in selecting only the authentic hadith related to al-Qasas al-Nabawi, but have different methods in other aspects. The different methods used by the two authors include the choice of topics included in the hadith, the number of hadiths discussed, and the approach to presenting the teachings at the end of each hadith. In addition, the work of al-Qasas al-Nabawi by Abu Ishaq al-Huwaini is more concise and not suitable as a reference work for the public, as the author notes in the foreword to this book. Hence, it is one of the important topics in Ḥadīth which results in giving the conclusion whether sanad is muttaṣil (connected) or mursal, and eventually it helps to conclude whether Ḥadīth is Ṣaḥīḥ or ḌaꜤīf. Imām al-Bukhārī and Imām Muslim have quoted in their Ṣaḥīḥ collections from narrators who were known for committing tadlīs. Such a matter had made some contemporary people suspect the authenticity of these collections and even impugning upon them on the grounds that Ḥadīth of these collections are reported from narrators who are not thiqa and could be ḍaꜤīf narrators who were attributed with tadlīs. Hence, these people created allegations and suspicions about these collections. This research conducts a study of this topic from its most important aspects and explains the stand of tadlīs in both of the Ṣaḥīḥ based on the views of stalwarts and critics of Ḥadīth and then refutes upon the allegations created by the opponents. In this study, the researcher has arrived upon some important conclusions like: all the instances in both of the Ṣaḥīḥs related to ꜤanꜤana (i.e., narrating by stating Ꜥan (from)) by narrators known for tadlīs are reflective of connected and authentic Ḥadīths, and all the MuꜤanꜤan Ḥadīths narrated in both the collections are explicitly stated with taḥdīth (i.e., earlier narrator narrating to the receiver) and samāꜤ (audition) in other sands which are mentioned in other authentic and reliable collections of masnad and sunan.","PeriodicalId":40915,"journal":{"name":"Al-Bayan-Journal of Quran and Hadith Studies","volume":"62 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84733510","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
