The paper proposes a method of inpainting based on the use of statistical redundancy. The method is based on the approximation of video by a multidimensional Markov process with discrete arguments and prediction of pixels of the lost frame block at a known neighborhood and transition probability matrix. There are given the mathematical model and simulation results confirming the efficiency of the method. The proposed method does not require computational procedures for its implementation and can be used on-line due to the possibility of parallel processing.","PeriodicalId":408993,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Siberian Conference on Control and Communications (SIBCON)","volume":"2015 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127311894","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such assumption ignores many possible non-linear effects which may affect signal-to-noise ratio at the receiver and lead to increase in bit error. We propose a simple technique based on convolutional neural network which is robust to possible non-linear effects. Our field study demonstrates that such effects do occur in through-the-earth communications and that the distorted signal at the receiver can still be demodulated with reasonably low bit error rate.","PeriodicalId":408993,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Siberian Conference on Control and Communications (SIBCON)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127956095","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The nature of the method is an adaptive decomposition of a speech signal into frequency bands of equal articulation, using the improved complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise, and determination of formant intelligibility, as well as frequency, width, level, and quality factor of formant regions in these bands using formant analysis. A mathematical description of the decomposition and a simplified block diagram of the proposed method are briefly presented. The study was conducted using the formed base of phonetically balanced speech signals recorded in healthy people, and people with psycho-emotional disorders, both male and female, aged from 18 to 79. According to the results of the study, the developed method provides a high detection accuracy of psycho-emotional disorders: the error of the first kind is 8.16%, and the error of the second kind is 5.66%.","PeriodicalId":408993,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Siberian Conference on Control and Communications (SIBCON)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130915068","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several types of interferences varying in frequency and their dependedce on the sampling rate were detected. Namely in the signal of the temperature sensor there appears a periodic interference with spectral peaks at mains frequency 50 Hz and multiples of its frequences. The level of this interference has different values depending on the type of the computer (desktop PC, laptop) and connection to or disconnection from the laptop adapter. Also, two more types of periodic interference were detected, which registered frequency depended on the sampling rate. The given behavior of the interference was a result of the «aliasing» effect. The author offered an algorithm of evaluation of interference frequency. As a result of applying the proposed algorithm, the generation band of this interference was determined. It was located in the range of 610 – 650 kHz. The hypothesis of the relationship between the interference and operation of the pulse frequency converter was proved by means of registering the emission spectrum of the data acquisition unit with the spectral analyzer R&S FSH8 and the direct measurement of the impulse signal with the help of the oscilloscope. A similar interference was found in the data acquisition unit NI USB 6009, that has the scheme decision similar to SensorDAQ. The frequency of the second periodic interference, which occurs when the current probe and the differential voltage probe are operating, turned out to be 24.86 kHz. Its source also turned to be the voltage convertor. In order to reduce the noises mentioned it may be viable to avoid choosing sampling frequencies converting the interference into the zero frequency range and to use the averaging-out of signal readings.","PeriodicalId":408993,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Siberian Conference on Control and Communications (SIBCON)","volume":"92 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123167838","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
