during transfer of video through communication channels, there may be distortions and loss of images that affect the quality of the services provided by various video services. The paper proposes a method of inpainting based on the use of statistical redundancy. The method is based on the approximation of video by a multidimensional Markov process with discrete arguments and prediction of pixels of the lost frame block at a known neighborhood and transition probability matrix. There are given the mathematical model and simulation results confirming the efficiency of the method. The proposed method does not require computational procedures for its implementation and can be used on-line due to the possibility of parallel processing.
