Es asi que en los ultimos anos ha tomado gran relevancia el concepto y aplicacion del pensamiento computacional, ya que como parte de su metodologia se encuentra la utilizacion de software de simulacion como apoyo para el aprendizaje y solucion de problemas, dichos paquetes informaticos permiten explorar, analizar, comprender, correlacionar y experimentar en el mundo virtual soluciones que posteriormente pueden aplicarse para resolver un problema real, como en el caso de la electronica en el diseno y programacion de circuitos, cuyos contenidos curriculares pueden ser complejos y extensos debido a la gran cantidad de desarrollos e innovaciones que han surgido en las ultimas decadas. EnglishEducation is an integral part of the new technologies and that is so that an increasing number of universities worldwide are demanding electronic literacy as one of the requirements in their entrance and graduation exams, considering that it is an essential objective to prepare future professionals for the digital era in the workplace. Se propone el uso de los smartphones para introducir cuestionarios interactivos como actividades de evaluacion formativa en clase. En el articulo se analiza su implementacion, centrandose en las caracteristicas de dichos cuestionarios y en las herramientas utilizadas. La opinion de los estudiantes sobre la experiencia desarrollada permite identificar algunas implicaciones practicas de esta propuesta como son la motivacion hacia el trabajo en clase, el fortalecimiento de las habilidades matematicas y la mejora del proceso de aprendizaje. La confirmacion de estos beneficios educativos y la actitud positiva de los estudiantes reflejan que los telefonos moviles pueden ser incorporados de manera provechosa en la Educacion Superior. EnglishThis article exposes an experience to implementing mobile technologies in the learning of Mathematics and examines the role that mobile phones can play to evaluate the teaching-learning process at University. Smartphones are proposed to introduce in class interactive questionnaires as formative assessment activities. The article analyses its implementation, focusing on the characteristics of the quizzes and the tools used. The opinion of the students about the experience shows some practical implications of this proposal like motivation to work in class, strengthening mathematical skills and improvement of learning process. Se utilizo el tipo de estudio transversal, investigacion descriptiva, comparativa y correlacional, donde se establece una muestra de 385 peticiones a traves del Protocolo de Transferencia de Hipertexto para cada uno de los grupos de investigacion, para lo cual se creo un prototipo con cada uno de los frameworks mencionados. Para compararlos se utilizo el promedio de: consumo de recursos, peticiones de hipertexto realizadas correctamente y el tiempo de respuesta, estos datos se obtienen por medio del programa JMeter. Los resultados permiten determinar el rendimiento, el mejor tiempo de respuesta. EnglishThe present investigation analyzes the performance of the front end frameworks Java Server Faces, PrimeFaces and BootsFaces, based on FURPS software quality model. It was used the type of cross-sectional study, descriptive, comparative and correlational research, where a sample of 385 through the Hypertext Transfer Protocol requests was established for each of the research groups, for which a prototype was created with each of the mentioned frameworks. To compare them, it was used the average of: consumption of resources, hypertext requests made correctly and the response time, these data are obtained through the JMeter program. Para ello, usando la tecnologia de un Sistema de Informacion Geografica (SIG), se elaboraron una serie de mapas que permitieron identificar la localizacion de las comunidades afectadas por la pobreza. Posteriormente, mediante el Geodiseno, se propusieron que medidas se podrian implantar en las areas analizadas, para mejorar las condiciones de vida. EnglishThis article aims to present the results of a pilot project conducted by the international NGO Institute for Conscious Global Change , in which they analyzed the poverty dimensions in the New York City district of Queens. By using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology, a series of maps were created to identify the location of the communities affected by poverty. La Universidad como una entidad humanistica, formadora y creadora de la investigacion, la cultura, y la ciencia son el pilar fundamental en la gestion de aprendizaje. Es asi que la misma ha generado y adoptado sistemas inteligentes de aprendizaje que han evolucionado de acuerdo a las necesidades y competencias requeridas por la sociedad, siendo la educacion continua uno de los procesos que la Universidad ha vinculado al servicio de las personas en general, estudiantes, docentes y profesionales. Este medio ha permitido ser aporte y soporte de la gestion del conocimiento, con talento humano y estructura necesaria para su trabajo. La investigacion analizo una muestra de 75 participantes de los cursos de educacion continua de la Direccion de Educacion a Distancia y Virtual (DEaDV) de la Universidad Tecnica de Ambato (UTA). El procedimiento metodologico que respaldo la investigacion fue analisis cuali-cuantitativo, seguida de la investigacion bibliografica-documental, que profundizo diferentes enfoques, teorias, conceptualizaciones y criterios de diversos autores. Posteriormente, se aplico la investigacion de campo a los dos cursos de educacion continua, por medio de un cuestionario estructurado, el cual habia sido validado previamente en tres fases, obteniendose resultados para el analisis descriptivo, que permitieron plantear conclusiones y recomendaciones de la investigacion. El proceso permitio evidenciar las nuevas estructuras para gestionar la informacion y conocimiento en la educacion superior, asi como exponer resultados de diferentes ambitos. Entre los mas destacados estan la evaluacion de la estructura y la organizacion metodologica curricular con una aceptacion del 87%, la pertinencia de utilizar productos acreditables (actividades, tareas, informes, trabajos finales) con un 73% de consideracion y la preferencia de la modalidad hibrida o b-learning con el 84%. Con este proyecto se propone determinar si la utilizacion del software libre educativo eXe-Learning contribuye a mejorar el desempeno academico de los estudiantes de Matematica de primer nivel de la Escuela de Sistemas de la Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Ecuador, Sede Esmeraldas. Con un enfoque constructivista se delineo la estrategia didactica aplicada a una poblacion de 26 estudiantes, divididos aleatoriamente en dos grupos. La investigacion es de tipo experimental con diseno post-test con grupo control, la aleatorizacion garantizo la comparabilidad de los grupos; se aplico el razonamiento hipotetico-deductivo con una metodologia cuantitativa para el manejo de los datos generados por las evaluaciones. Los resultados obtenidos, aplicando la prueba de T de Student, demostraron que la media (0,8808) de las calificaciones de la prueba aplicada a los estudiantes del grupo experimental es mayor que la media (0,4962) de las calificaciones aplicada a los estudiantes del grupo de control. Esta diferencia significativa no es producto del azar e implica que una estrategia didactica de ensenanza apoyada con el eXe-Learning contribuye a mejorar el desempeno academico de los estudiantes. EnglishThe didactic of Mathematics, in its constant search to improve teaching-learning processes, has linked educational technological tools, as support resources or teaching strategies to ensure effective learning of students. With this project it was proposed to determine if the use of free educational software eXe-Learning contributes to improve the academic performance of the students of Mathematics of the first level of the School of Systems of the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador, Esmeraldas Campus. With a constructivist approach, the didactic strategy was outlined which was applied, as a pilot test, to a population of 26 students divided randomly into two groups. The investigation was of experimental type with post-test design with control group, randomization guaranteed the comparability of the groups; the hypothetic-deductive reasoning was applied with a quantitative methodology for the management of the data generated by the evaluations. Se exponen las especificaciones de cada metrica para obtener los resultados deseados. Estos resultados se valoran de acuerdo con los niveles de puntuacion que corresponden al grado de eficiencia que posee cada una de las subcaracteristicas y asi se logro detectar un deficit de eficiencia del 5% y un cumplimiento del 95%. EnglishThis paper analyzes and determinates the metrics of internal and external efficiency of ISO/IEC standard 9126-2 and 9126-3 applied into a biometric control system. It exposes the specifications of each metric to obtain the expected results. En el analisis del proceso, a traves de entrevistas semiestructuradas se detecto la falta de articulacion entre las unidades organizativas, provocando que la consulta de informacion y transcripcion consuma jornadas completas del personal. Como solucion, se creo un repositorio de informacion seguro que permita la disponibilidad y confidencialidad de la informacion a traves de herramientas como Windows Server y Arreglos de Discos para asegurar la integridad de la informacion y recuperacion de errores. EnglishIn this research, a data communication model was developed that tracks labor trials, protecting personal data, and allowing better access to information, applying international regulations and domestic laws that govern the security of digital files and personal data. In the analysis of the process, through semi-structured interviews, the lack of articulation between the organizational units was detected, causing that the consultation of information and transcription, consumes complete days of the personnel.
