Therefore, organizing by projects is on a strong increase, particularly, in the engineering sector. Projects are accepted to be learning intensive organizational forms. Each project involves the production or provision of a one-of-a-kind product or service. During a project, team-members continuously encounter new problems for which, where possible, a new solution is devised. This results in the development of knowledge and experiences that is valuable organizational asset and can be an important resource for the following projects. This is rarely, if at all documented and reused. In simple terms, valuable knowledge and experience gained is lost. What remains is stored in the minds of those who where a part of the problem and the solution. This paper examines the role of information and communication technologies as well as social processes in the management of project knowledge and experiences. Hence, standard models for decision problems have to be adapted to cope with this situation. This paper shows an approach dealing with this situation by including a liquidity function into the standard mean- variance model going back to Markowitz. This leads to a quadratic optimization problem which is solved by using the Lagrange method. The main purpose of this paper is to analyse the optimal hedging strategies for power generators. For this, three different case studies are regarded to recognize several effects like dependency on the planning horizon or the interdependencies of electricity markets and the markets for fossil-fuels or CO2 certificates. The chip design industry evolved into very sophisticated and complex processes needing managerial approaches to master them. Missing possibilities to evaluate course and outcome of projects in a simulative way entail soaring losses. In this paper, we present a pioneer approach that allows for modeling design processes in a formal manner. It was found that the degree of technological innovation, the involvement of end users in the development process, the dissemination of NPD priorities to staff, and the use of financial analysis throughout the development process were all correlated with success in a statistically significant manner. These findings demonstrate the importance of innovation, integration and the use of financial metrics to sustained product development success. We develop a performance-gap measure of reverse salience and apply it in an empirical study considering the delivery of overall computational performance of the PC system with respect to game play. Furthermore, we explore the relationship between the performance of innovated products and the magnitude of reverse salience. Our results show that the technological performance of the PC game sub-system trails that of the CPU (central processing unit) sub-system at any point in time, between 1996 and 2006, inclusively. The temporal behavior of reverse salience demonstrates a gradually decreasing trend in recent years, suggesting a diminishing technological disparity between the sub-systems. Using CIT, a total of 679 incidents were gathered from two Portuguese hotels, regarding satisfying or dissatisfying episodes with the provided service. The incidents were categorized and the service quality dimensions identified. The proposed framework integrates a dynamic optimization base that intents to achieve a good trade-off between local optimization representing each network participant personal goals and global optimization representing the network global goals. For the purpose, we apply a discriminant analysis (DA) to group classification between non-default and default firms. The DA estimates a discriminant function using probit and logit models. The financial performance of a firm is evaluated by the estimated discriminant function. The relationship between the financial performance and R&D intensity is investigated using the function, as well. First of all, we will distinguish the principal technological innovations from production and consumption equipments, which are planned by the Corsicapsilas territorial collectivity. Then, will be studied alternative scenarios, in order to consider other energy futures of the island.
