But NP's complex design, architectural heterogeneity, and demanding performance constraints make development of network protocol much difficult than expected. According to our experience from project of high performance router based on network processor, a general protocol development methodology is proposed, which defines the work flow of protocol development, and emphasizes the design of integrated coordinated NPs software development toolkits. The toolkits would help to increase the efficiency of NP code, which makes full of NP's performance, at the same time, provide programmers with whole life cycle of NP software development.","PeriodicalId":408368,"journal":{"name":"2006 First International Conference on Communications and Networking in China","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131761850","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A modify MMSE-BDFE algorithm is proposed to jointly detect the GMSK and 8PSK signals which may coexist with the introduction of the enhanced data GSM evolution (EDGE). Conventional MMSE-BDFE algorithm can not be used because of the problem of Choleskey fraction. Oversampling is used to mitigate this question. Simulations are done to show that a good performance/complexity tradeoff can be obtained.","PeriodicalId":408368,"journal":{"name":"2006 First International Conference on Communications and Networking in China","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133081565","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The generation of a tile image mosaic is a solution to the following problem: given a primitive image and a set of arbitrarily-shaped image tiles, render the primitive image as accurately as possible with tiles of similar color to the primitive image. The method is inspired by Jigsaw image mosaic (JIM), and successfully solves two important problems: higher computation time and unable to perform complex image.","PeriodicalId":408368,"journal":{"name":"2006 First International Conference on Communications and Networking in China","volume":"226 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131804017","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a noncooperative power control model is proposed for the unlicensed users in licensed spectrum using game theory. In the power control game, an extra part indicating the effect to the licensed users is added into the pricing function. Through game theoretic deduction, it is obtained that a unique Nash equilibrium solution exists under appropriating parameter value of the payoff function. Under the constraint of permitted maximum negative effect to licensed users, the Nash equilibrium solution of the proposed power control game is Pareto optimality and achieves maximum total throughput.","PeriodicalId":408368,"journal":{"name":"2006 First International Conference on Communications and Networking in China","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134465693","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the current approaches, the additive noise is negligible so that it can be omitted from the consideration. To be applicable in realistic scenarios, blind source separation approaches should deal evenly with the presence of noise. In this paper, a method is proposed of combining wavelet threshold de-noising and independent component analysis to the blind source separation problem for mixing images corrupter with white noise. We first use wavelet threshold to de-noise and then use a new blind separation algorithm of FASTICA to separate the wavelet de-noised images. The result shows that this method may reduce the affect of noise and improve the signal-noise ratio (SNR) of separation images, accordingly renew the original images.","PeriodicalId":408368,"journal":{"name":"2006 First International Conference on Communications and Networking in China","volume":"120 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114520235","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When considering using lightpath to connect grid distributed resources, to provide flexible and dynamic lightpath scheduling, optical grid is constructed to solve the communication resource allocating problems for parallel and distributed applications. We present an optical resource scheduling scheme orienting parallel lightpath based on division load theory, to allocate resource on the requirement of large amount data transmission in parallel and distributed applications. This technique uses two signals with reversed intensity modulation and different wavelength to exploit propagation and gain compression dynamics in gain- saturated SOAs at almost constant overall input power. The resulting Cross Gain Compression (XGC) mechanism between co-propagating waves can lead to all-optical waveform reshaping.
