A general scheme for generating these codes is also discussed. It is showed mathematically that these new codes have a uniform ZCW for both aperiodic auto-correlation function (ACF) and cross-correlation function (CCF) within one group. Moreover, the minimum ZCW among different groups is the same as that of basic LS codes. The number of these new codes is more than the basic LS codes, and code efficiency can be greatly enhanced. This paper proposes a novel error-resilient method which names predictive picture refresh based on scene-context reference picture. And it also proposes a novel shot cut detection to achieve the scene-context reference picture, instead of the traditional video segmentations, such as pixel or histogram difference methods. And our shot cut detection needs less computation and is easily embedded in the H.264/AVC. Location-aware information has derived a lot of research issues. This paper presents a precise indoor RF-based WLAN (IEEE 802.11) locating system named precise indoor locating system (PILS). Most proposed location systems acquire well location estimation results but consume high level of manual effort to collect a huge amount of signal data. As a consequence, the system becomes impractical and manpower-wasted. In this paper, we aim to reduce the manual effort in constructing radio map and maintain high accuracy in our system. We propose models for data calibration, interpolating, and location estimation in PILS. In data calibration and location estimation models, we consider of autocorrelation of signal samples to enhance the accuracy. Wireless channel propagation model is also in our concern. A peer node tries to retrieve the original file by downloading blocks from randomly chosen peers. We compare the performance of four storage strategies: uncoded, erasure coding, random linear coding, and random linear coding over coded blocks. We show that, in principle, random linear coding makes a better tradeoff between the storage requirement and decoding complexity. However, the sparsity of the file blocks is not fully exploited by random linear combinations of all original blocks. Motivated by the recent results from compressed sensing, we study the design tradeoff in random linear coding over coded blocks and propose an efficient decoding algorithm based on basis pursuit. Since most commercially-available all-optical space switches are incapable of detecting the loss of optical signals along the data paths between its input ports and output ports, fault localization becomes a challenge for providing service survivability in such networks. This paper proposes a fault detection and localization scheme for an all-optical overlaid-star TDM network. The proposed scheme employs a fault localization technique that identifies the location of a failure by detecting the power loss of optical signals in data and control channels. Two alternatives are proposed. One requires a control channel on each wavelength of a fiber link while the other requires a small data block to be transmitted in each non-allocated data channel. Based on the proposed fault localization technique, a fault advertisement protocol is further presented, which can be incorporated into the signaling protocol used in the network to facilitate the provisioning of static protection or dynamic restoration. This paper reviews some of these methods and addresses their shortcomings. We propose an alternate SRR approach based on a statistical estimation technique. By minimizing a cost function, the Huber norm is used for measuring the difference between the projected estimate of the high-resolution image and each low resolution image, removing outliers in the data and Tikhonov regularization is used to remove artifacts from the final answer and improve the rate of convergence. Two kinds of adaptive power allocation schemes are proposed for OFDM systems with joint Tx-Rx beamforming. The optimal power allocation schemes are based on the criterions of maximizing signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and maximizing average throughput, respectively. Simplified schemes with complexity reduction are also presented.
