RSPC has the advantages of high error correction capabilities and high code rate. In this study, we present that the maximum correctable burst length of RSPC in DVD systems is 2917 bytes. However, by applying iterative decoding, the RSPC can obtain the length, resulting in the increase of execution time and energy consumption. In order to combat these unnecessary operations, we present a new encoding and decoding scheme. Experimental results show that the new scheme can significantly decrease the probability of decoding errors, thereby improving the error correction performance of DVD systems.","PeriodicalId":408041,"journal":{"name":"Fifth International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132687376","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The model overcomes the defect of some well-known active contour models which tend to fall into local minimums in SAR (synthetic aperture radar) image segmentation. Firstly, a new ratio distance, which measures the relativity between two speckle-image patches, is defined by using the probability density functions of the regions inside and outside the contours. Then, a new image energy functional is computed with the ratio distance, and the region intensity fitting functions of CV (Chan and Vese) active contour model are replaced by the new image energy function. Finally, the proposed model is constructed based on the combination of the improved CV model and RSF (region-scalable fitting) model by linear weights. The model makes the contour evolution more efficient with the LIF (local intensity fitting) force and the GIF (global intensity fitting) force, which are respectively provided by the RSF model and the improved CV model. SAR image segmentation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed model.","PeriodicalId":408041,"journal":{"name":"Fifth International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing","volume":"113 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132818367","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, an online parametric structure is designed by using a neural network to approximate the value function associating with the two-player zero-sum differential game. Second, online approximator-based controller designs are presented by using two neural networks to find (saddle point) equilibria. Third, Novel weight update laws for the critic, action and disturbance networks are given, and all parameters are tuned online. Fourth, it is shown that the system state, all neural networks weight estimation errors are uniformly ultimately bounded by using Lyapunov techniques. Further, it is shown that the output of the action network approaches the optimal control input with small bounded error and the output of the disturbance network approaches the worst disturbance with small bounded error and. Finally, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":408041,"journal":{"name":"Fifth International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing","volume":"195 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132245467","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The optimal control objective of this blending process is to make the quality indices of the raw slurry into their targeted ranges. Flow rates of raw materials are the key factors that affect the quality indices of raw slurry. How to obtain the appropriate set-points of flow rates is the key problem in the optimal control. An intelligent optimal control method, which is comprised of the setting layer and the loop control layer, is proposed. In the setting layer, mathematical model and neural network are adopted to obtain the appropriate set-points of the control loops. In the loop control layer, the actual flow rates of raw materials follow their set-points obtained from the setting layer. At last, the results of industry experiments have proven the effectiveness of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":408041,"journal":{"name":"Fifth International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123217088","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes a new structure of PID controller tuning for n-th order lag (PTn) industrial processes based on damping optimum criterion. This structure is characterized by choosing the differential forward PID controller and adding a pre-filter in front of the whole system structure, which improves the system step response performance: short transient time, small overshoots and oscillations. An active disturbance rejection controller with feed-forward compensation algorithm is proposed. The feed-forward compensation improves the rapidity and ability of these anti-disturbances. The active disturbance rejection controller can estimate and compensate the uncertain factors of the system, greatly enhancing the system robust. In this paper, a mathematical model of pump controlled motor speed control is built and the influence of input pump speed and load torque feed-forward to the system is studied. The active disturbance rejection controller is designed.
