It is hard to analyze, store and process this data because of its size and complexity. When traditional tools are used to analyze the data, execution time is too much. On the other hand, there are some tools and libraries to analyze and process the big data. As a result, it does not take too much time to analyze and process the data. For example; Hadoop is an open source library that allow the distributed computing for large datasets. Mahout is a library that allows machine learning, Hive allows querying and Kafka allows messaging. In this paper, Hadoop and Mahout are used and performance of Naïve Bayes and Complement Naïve Bayes Algorithms are compared based on average correctly classified instance percentage, average training time and average testing time with different size of the dataset. As a dataset, \"20 Newsgroups\" is used and size of the dataset is increased by scaling the dataset with 2, 4 and 8. As a result, datasets with the size of 37692, 75384 and 150768 are created. All experiments are carried on with all the datasets using different smoothing, weight and normalization parameters for 10 times and then, average of all the results are taken. After all the experiments, it is observed that performance of Naïve Bayes Algorithm is better than Complement Naïve Bayes Algorithm based on average training time. On the other hand, performance of Complement Naïve Bayes is better than the other based on average correctly classified instance percentage.","PeriodicalId":407725,"journal":{"name":"2019 6th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128573200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Depending on the concept of cognitive radio, available bands in the licensed spectrum can be estimated, and allocated for unlicensed users. Therefore, accurate detection of spectrum occupancy is very important to deploy cognitive radio successfully. This study aims to determine the radio spectrum usage in Samsun. To reach this goal, extensive measurements were performed at 115 locations in GSM900 band using RF Explorer 6G Combo. Based on the measurement results, spectrum occupancy percentages were calculated for eight different thresholds from -40 dBm to -75 dBm. The measurement results, and occupancy calculations show that the spectral occupancy in Samsun is about 8.5% for -40 dBm while 82% for -75 dBm. It can be also concluded from the results that, GSM900 band is almost completely occupied for -75 dBm. According to measurement results what percentage the GSM900 spectrum band is occupied can be evaluated.","PeriodicalId":407725,"journal":{"name":"2019 6th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115447821","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are various types of tools and technique to penetrate the physical and wireless network and those tools and technique are improving in a rapid way as each day passes by. Compare to earlier time penetrating a network and hijack the information of someone else are very common now. Among those various type of attacks Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attack is one of the most common attacks to penetrate and gather someone else information. The aim of this research is to study the effect of VO_2 thin films with different spin coating speeds during the deposition process which change the thin film thickness at varies spin coating speed. In this work, quartz substrates were used with 2.0 cm x 2.0 cm dimension. The VO_2 solution was prepared by sol-gel method by mixing the vanadium oxytripropoxide with isopropanol, while VO2 thin film was fabricated using spin coating technique. Five samples were used to characterize the different of spin coating speeds at 1000 rpm, 1250 rpm, 1500 rpm, 1750 rpm and 2000 rpm. The samples of VO_2 thin films produce a different characterization pattern of electrical and optical properties. Samples characterization process were performed using I-V measurements and UV-Visible spectrophotometer. The absorbance and transmittance of VO_2 thin films were checked using UV-Visible spectrophotometer for the optical properties of thin films, while the I-V measurements for the current and voltage of each sample. The result for 1000 rpm sample shows the highest thickness with less grain and high conductivity. As a conclusion, sample with the highest thickness film produced thin film with a good electrical and optical properties.","PeriodicalId":407725,"journal":{"name":"2019 6th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128329368","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there are two main problems that might compromise this advantage. First, the PV panel's electrical efficiency is strongly reduced by an increased daytime cell temperature. Second, during the night, the module surface temperature might undercut the dew point temperature. This results in water vapor condensation on the surface of the modules and, in combination with dust-loaded winds, mud formation on the panels. In the present study, a PVThermal (PV/T) hybrid system combined with an Underground Heat Storage system is being proposed to increase the efficiency of PV arrays especially in desert areas. During the day, the PV panel will be actively cooled, thus improving its electrical efficiency. During the night, it will be heated well above the dew point, thus preventing condensation. The results will show that the proposed system is able to resolve the two problems mentioned above. Due to the active thermal control, daytime PV efficiency could be increased by 10 % and nocturnal condensation could be avoided.","PeriodicalId":407725,"journal":{"name":"2019 6th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115016575","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
