It is a period marked by suffering, pain and illness, as well as a significant disharmony of spirit, soul and body, which consequently influenced the fear of bared life and survival. The age of the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to the objective presence of a virus that has taken many lives, warns us that the world is facing infodemia, manipulative media propaganda, polarized profession, loss of basic human rights and other global plans diametrically opposed to the spiritual approach and whose primary goal is to spread fear among people. Such a situation has created a ground for positive and/or negative thinking of people regarding epi(pan)demics. The scientific approach to the concept of spirituality, although it has its roots in philosophy and psychology, is present in religion, and today we can say in quantum medicine, bioethics and other sciences. However, no matter how different the paths of spirituality may be, they have in common finding the hidden laws of nature and selflessly using their discoveries to improve the lives of others. The complexity and diversity of the concept of spirituality leads to the choice of the spiritual path and the development of each person individually. In an effort to better understand his inner life, an individual must go through a processes of introspection and self-knowledge in order to reach the virtues that enable him to have a wiser relationship with himself, the environment, the world. The aim of this paper is to consider some situations that may represent the foundation of a new (beneficial) path to human salvation, possible life in new circumstances. The complexity of the topic raises the question - how to achieve active work with results that will be beneficial for people in the new conditions of the pandemic? The results of the research indicate that the syncretism of spirituality and physical exercise creates conditions for meaningful reasoning, reflection, cognition and awareness of the understanding that this is a very important path to healing.","PeriodicalId":407056,"journal":{"name":"Fizicko vaspitanje i sport kroz vekove","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129843439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Jamnik","doi":"10.5937/spes2202059j","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5937/spes2202059j","url":null,"abstract":"The analysis of the Bologna reform showed that sports activities of students at the University of Ljubljana at the time of the introduction of the Bologna reform (2006-2011) fell from approx. 40% before the introduction of the Bologna reform to 12.9% after its introduction. The \"alarming situation\" has triggered a series of activities to improve it. Given the decentralized operation of the University of Ljubljana, sports teachers at each faculty of the University of Ljubljana found themselves in their own way - in general, unsystematic. The introduction of additional sports programs in recent years has resulted in an increase in the number of active students (to approx. 20%), but we believe that this is not satisfactory from several aspects - especially from the health point of view of the younger generation. The first step in this direction was made with the PROPOSAL on amendments (changes/additions) to the HIGHER EDUCATION ACT in the Republic of Slovenia of 23.01.2018 (additional funding for regular sports activities for all first-year students of all study programs in the amount of two teaching hours per week - which not evaluated by ECTS). Due to various reasons, no changes/additions have been made to date. During this time, however, the opinion was formed that the proposal would have difficulty \"penetrating\" through all the necessary procedures if all activities for inclusion in the mentioned sports activities in the NATIONAL HIGHER EDUCATION PROGRAM in the Republic of Slovenia (2021-2030) are not carried out. In 2021, this was realized with a series of activities.","PeriodicalId":407056,"journal":{"name":"Fizicko vaspitanje i sport kroz vekove","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125011252","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With a retrospective view of the spiritual and creative space at the time of COVID, we can say that this is a period of increased self-actualization of people, in which they manifested their absolute potentials as individuals. Although COVID left people without liturgical celebrations in certain periods, the living space did not have to remain spiritually empty, since the faithful could express their spirituality through their own prayer in their homes. These were modified conditions in Christian spirituality, where prayers represent an ecclesiastical act that connects the praying person with the community, conditions in which participation of an individual in the prayer of the church community that keeps and nourishes Jesus' prayer was hindered. The newly-established conditions opened up specific mental states in which people turned their attention to various non-religious forms of spirituality close to them: writing poetry, reading, painting, composing music, and thus new creative/artistic opuses were created that marked and are still marking this period. The books and songs 'at the times of COVID' were created, which represent a living and lucid document of time and a personal, authentic comment of an individual on one of the most unusual situations in which humanity has found itself in the last few decades. Painting studios have become a kind of quarantine in which painters stand behind their easels and in which the art world lives, transferred to the canvas in various techniques, waiting for its first exhibition entitled: 'From the times of COVID'.","PeriodicalId":407056,"journal":{"name":"Fizicko vaspitanje i sport kroz vekove","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127946362","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In 1923 the Catalan Football Rugby Union was created due to the aroused need for organized competitions. With this institutionalisation and organisational structure began a flourishing period for the clubs, culminating in 1929 at the Barcelona International Exhibition where rugby was played in front of 60.000 spectators. In spite of this achievement, rugby remained a minority sport with restricted geographical appeal, with a group faithful and loyal followers.","PeriodicalId":407056,"journal":{"name":"Fizicko vaspitanje i sport kroz vekove","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130148431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The poor rate of students' choice of the subject at this level is a matter of concern to professionals, given the fact of monumental benefits of physical education as a science subject to humanity. The study was conducted to examine how psycho-administrative factors influence the choice of physical education by senior secondary school students at external examination bodies (in Nigeria) to come up with modalities to increase enrolment of the subject at external examination bodies. Descriptive method was applied for the study due to large respondents involved. Self-developed validated questionnaire tagged psycho-administrative determinants for choice of physical education among senior secondary school students at external examination bodies (PADGPEAS) was applied for the research. Out of three thousand and twenty-four (3024) questionnaire forms administered, only two thousand and fifty (2950) copies completed and returned were coded for analysis, with the use of descriptive statistics of percentages and nonparametric statistics of Chi-square (x 2) at 0.05 level of significant. Results unraveled a remarkable influence of psycho-administrative variables on the choice at physical education among senior secondary school students at external examination bodies. Based on this outcome, it is suggested that utilization of variety of methods by physical education teachers will go a long way to kindle the interest of the students for the subject. Enlightenment of students and parents on the values of physical education will facilitate remarkable positive attitude of both parts that relocate their position in favor of the subject.","PeriodicalId":407056,"journal":{"name":"Fizicko vaspitanje i sport kroz vekove","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129424965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper analyzes the average age of professional alpine skiers who won medals at the World Cups, World Championships and Olympic Games in the 2015-2018 Olympic cycle, ie. from the 2014/2015 to 2017/2018 season. The following alpine events were analyzed: Slalom (SL), Giant Slalom (GS), Super G (SG), Downhill (DH) and Alpine Combined (AC). The aim of this paper was viewed through the causal relationships average age of athlete on the podium by seasons and events in which they performed. The basic descriptive statistics were applied, which, based on the calculated arithmetic mean and medians, indicated the average higher age of athletes in speed events (SG and DH) compared to technical ones (SL, GS), as well as the fact that the athletes' skiing career was prolonged. The age of athletes in the 2017/2018 is higher than in the 2014/2015 season for speed (DH, SG, AC) and 2016/2017 than 2014/2015 for tech (SL, GS).","PeriodicalId":407056,"journal":{"name":"Fizicko vaspitanje i sport kroz vekove","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134269894","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this regard, shame as an ethical category representing one of the supporting pillars of theological moral is almost disappearing from sports practice and sport competitions. We are witnessing common deception in sport (the use of performance-enhancing drugs, match-fixing, referee bias) which is degrading the traditional Olympic spirit and purity of sports performance and sporting events. Though there have been attempts to prevent those negative tendencies through generalisation and promotion of the fair play code of conduct (in order to level various codes of various societies and groups), its practical use is still far from what is expected. A return to already approved values of Christian morality avoiding anything that is dishonourable, shameless and impermanent is highlighted in the paper.","PeriodicalId":407056,"journal":{"name":"Fizicko vaspitanje i sport kroz vekove","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130400573","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During the greatest sport events such as the Olympic Games, all hostilities and war conflicts ceased and the winners of the games were considered to be equal to gods. Although developed on the foundations of the Greek culture and Roman state, the Middle Ages, under the influence of Christianity, banned the Olympics considering them a pagan relic, making most sports undesirable. The invasion of barbarians, which destroyed the remnants of the old society, accelerated this process. Yet, not all sports activities died out. The ones related to everyday activities, fighting and warfare continued to live. Serbian medieval state originated in the area between Byzantium and Western Europe and was exposed to influences from both sides, both the East and West. These influences were also manifested in sports, games and chivalry. The influences' paths varied, though, and were connected to population's travelling and mixing. Thus, the Eastern influence came from the Byzantine neighboring cities, and the Western from the Westerners - the Sas (Saxon) miners who worked and lived in Serbia, merchants and craftsmen from the coastal region, as well as mercenary military squads hired by the rulers. Sports activities, games and knightly competitions in medieval Serbia were connected with other social events and could be found in mixed environment such as urban settlements, as well as at gatherings at certain religious buildings. Gatherings in the cities were connected with organization of trade fairs and trade shows, and at monasteries and churches with religious festivals held almost every day. Preserved onomastic materials testify about sports activities: igrište (arena), potecište (starting point), strelište (shooting range) and others. Sports activities and knightly competitions were of a competitive nature, whereas the games were for fun. The paper discusses the presence of sports activities, games and chivalry in medieval Serbia, their origin, venues and social significance.","PeriodicalId":407056,"journal":{"name":"Fizicko vaspitanje i sport kroz vekove","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114818560","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
