With a short look into the pressing issues of the fashion industry, a focus on Patagonia's own weaknesses as well as its attempt to fix the same reveals a very successful and mostly authentic sustainability marketing strategy that has helped the business become increasingly successful in its own bottom line while raising awareness for the need to change. The methodology that is employed in this case study is qualitative in nature and uses primarily secondary sources. The case research suggests that the firm has significantly impacted the social outdoor fashion sector, and it has maintained a consistent and expanded focus on environmental and social responsibility goals and objectives. The emergence of social media has caused a significant shift in marketing strategies. Individuals, corporations, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), governments, and other organizations can use social media to view, produce, and share information, ideas, career interests, and other forms of expression in digital communities and networks. According to research, social media plays a vital role in promoting educational tourism, which improves and enhances a country's economic, social, political, and cultural life. Raghunadha","doi":"10.26634/jmgt.17.2.19130","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.26634/jmgt.17.2.19130","url":null,"abstract":"The Indian Mutual Fund Industry is segmented and grounded on asset classes (Debt-Oriented Schemes, Equity-Oriented Schemes, Money Market Funds, ETFs and FoFs) and sources of funds (banks, retail investors, Indian institutional investors, FIIs, insurance companies, and other sources). The Average Assets Under Management (AAUM) of the Indian Mutual Fund Industry for the month of February 2022 lay at 39,87,990 crore. The AUM of the Indian MF Industry has raised from 7.20 trillion as on September 30, 2012 to 38.42 trillion as on September 30, 2022 further than 5 fold expansion in a span of 10 years. The MF Industry's AUM has raised from 20.40 trillion as of September 30, 2017 to 38.42 trillion as of September 30, 2022, around a 2-fold expansion in a span of 5 years. The entire number of accounts (or folios, as per mutual fund parlance) as of September 30, 2022, was at 13.81 crore (138.1 million), while the number of folios under equity, hybrid, and solution-oriented schemes, wherein the utmost investment is from the retail segment, stood at around 11.03 crore (110.3 million). The Indian mutual fund industry over the years noted a dramatic improvement in terms of volume as well as quality of the product and service offerings. In this paper, equity, debt, and hybrid mutual fund performance evaluation is measured through statistical ratios like standard deviation, beta, Sharpe's ratio, Jensen's alpha, and Treynor's ratio. All the ratios were calculated based on the daily returns over the last 3 years. The data was taken from the websites, and the yearly return was calculated on the basis of NAV. The results were obtained from a sample of 8 equity funds, 8 debt funds, and 8 hybrid funds. However, there are still organizations that consider HRM merely a cost driver rather than a value-adding function. This study attempts to examine whether HRM is playing its strategic role to enhance competitive advantage in the selected private commercial banks and to assess the contributing factors for HRM to execute its function as a strategic partner. Data was collected by using a selfadministered questionnaire that was designed and distributed to employees of the HR department in the selected private commercial banks. The results of the study confirmed that HR involvement, mindset, competence, and role balance are enablers and contributors for HR to become a strategic partner. Furthermore, the finding indicates that mindset and competence can impact the role of HR as a strategic partner at large. It was further found out that the current status of HRM as a strategic partner is at its moderate level because its enablers do not exist at a higher level. Accordingly, the role of HRM as an administrative expert is still dominantly played as compared with that of a strategic partner, but it is observed that HRM is progressing towards a more strategic function than the administrative function.
