The present study investigates in depth the vision of the capital of Catalonia as a living and damaged organism in constant metamorphosis, which exposes an exhausting process of collision and social adjustment to emphasize the unfinished realization of personal and collective subjectivity. The article points out the existence of unstable and antagonistic historical links between the global urban space and the multiplicity of frontier spaces, used by the industrial bourgeoisie as marginalizing structures to disrupt and alienate the battered existence of the incipient anarchist proletariat. It also reflects on how the urban area in Martin’s narrative becomes a versatile barometer of public disturbances and class problems in order to reevaluate the citizen-society binomial. In this way, through the critical observation of the strategies of fiction, it is shown how the individual suffers from undeniable and harmful consequences due to the multiple negotiations and asymmetrical relations between Barcelona and its citizens, reflection of the harsh metropolitan environment resulting from the political and social crisis of 1909.","PeriodicalId":40522,"journal":{"name":"Pasavento-Revista de Estudios Hispanicos","volume":"9 1","pages":"175-192"},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47254091","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sin sujetarse a las normas canonicas y a la cuestion generica, el escritor rompe los limites establecidos y llega al microrrelato a traves de la condensacion de los componentes no narrativos y descriptivos del poema en prosa. Dentro de la narrativa breve este genero literario representa una minima parte en su obra literaria y esta diseminado entre sus libros de cuentos: \"Picassos en el desvan\" (1991), \"Los brazos de la i griega\" (1982), \"Relatos sin fronteras\" (1998), \"Cuentos de la Cabila\" (2000) \"La divisa en la torre\" (2007). Estudiamos la genesis de sus microrrelatos y la procedencia de algunas historias que configuran sus tramas, como algunas noticias leidas en la prensa con el fin de profundizar en el proceso de condensacion narrativa al que Pereira somete la trama a traves de la elipsis a una continua poda, que esta al servicio del rigor de la composicion y de la palabra exacta. Definimos los rasgos configuradores del estilo de Pereira en la escritura de microrrelatos, como el autobiografismo, las reflexiones metaficcionales, el registro oral, el culturalismo, la condensacion de la anecdota, el juego con la hibridacion generica, la depuracion del erotismo y los cambios de perspectiva; y perfilamos los recursos a traves de los cuales el escritor subvierte los campos semanticos y desestabiliza el orden previsto, como la condensacion lirica, el humor, la ironia, los juegos linguisticos y la paradoja, entre otros.","PeriodicalId":40522,"journal":{"name":"Pasavento-Revista de Estudios Hispanicos","volume":"9 1","pages":"25-46"},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45782330","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Un recorrido por los pueblos fantasma de la Patagonia\" (2005), de la escritora argentina Maria Sonia Cristoff. Victimas del desmantelamiento del ferrocarril durante la ultima dictadura militar y las politicas privatistas de los anos 90, las localidades del Sur padecen la desintegracion territorial. En este articulo, observamos la forma en que Cristoff aborda la relacion entre las comunidades locales y la nacion como comunidad imaginada (Anderson 2003), la representacion de la alteridad desde perspectivas biopoliticas (Giorgi 2014) o poscoloniales (Said 2007) y la disputa por la hegemonia cultural (Williams 2009). En cada uno de esos ejes, analizamos la digresion (Chambers 1994; Echeverria 2005; Oliver 2016; Atkins 2017) como procedimiento que permite la deriva hacia otros textos a partir de los cuales se define la relacion entre cronica y alteridad (Todorov 2007). Asimismo, proponemos una analogia entre el movimiento de la desviacion y la integracion que toda operacion digresiva supone y los movimientos de aislamiento e integracion territorial que se presentan en el texto como problematica comunitaria. EnglishThe present work sets out to analyze the chronicles of \"False Calm. A Tour of the Ghost Towns of Patagonia\" (2005), by the argentine writer Maria Sonia Cristoff. Victims of the dismantling of the railway during the last military dictatorship and the privatization policies of the 90s, the southern towns suffer from territorial disintegration. In this article, we observe the way in which Cris-toff approaches the relationship between local communities and the nation as an imagined community (Anderson 2003), the representation of otherness from biopolitical (Giorgi 2014) or postcolonial perspectives (Said 2007) and the dis-pute over cultural hegemony (Williams 2009). In each of these axes, we analyze the digression (Chambers 1994; Echeverria 2005; Oliver 2016; Atkins 2017) as a procedure that allows the drift towards other texts from which the relations-hip between chronicle and alterity (Todorov 2007) is defined. Furthermore, we propose an analogy between the movement of deviation and integration that all digressive operations entail and the movements of isolation and territorial integration that are presented in the text as community problems.","PeriodicalId":40522,"journal":{"name":"Pasavento-Revista de Estudios Hispanicos","volume":"9 1","pages":"139-162"},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47285200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This takes place both in the editorial operation carried out by Ernesto Montequin –curator and editor of the archive of the argentine writer in its entirety and of the posthumous manuscripts in particular–, in the same scriptural nature of the novel –shaped similar to a movie montage–, as well as in the procedures carried out Ocampo consisting of locating scriptures within other scriptures that predominate in the work studied. All of this leads us to propose a reading of the posthumous novel La promesa not as a narrative of memories, nor as an autobiographical novel but as an invitation, sometimes imperative, to consider other forms of writing and other reading practices where the notion of novel and promise take a relevant place. To accompany and think about this hypothesis, we address concepts by Roland Barthes, Jacques Derrida, John Austin, Ernesto Montequine and contributions from specialized critics in Ocampo’s work and specifically in her posthumous work.","PeriodicalId":40522,"journal":{"name":"Pasavento-Revista de Estudios Hispanicos","volume":"9 1","pages":"117-137"},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42114465","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

En él se ha pretendido mostrar la acertada elección de tal género para la configuración de la presente historia, en cuyo desarrollo se advierte la habitual confluencia, en la obra del escritor, de experiencia vital y literaria. Junto a la conexión con las circunstancias históricas bélicas que marcarán algunas de sus obras posteriores, el trabajo pone de relieve la innegable influencia de la tradición literaria, al erigirse como el tema central del texto el viejo motivo de los dos amigos enamorados de la misma mujer. En el manejo del mismo, por parte de Zúñiga, se advierte la huella de uno de sus principales modelos literarios, Turguénev, así como la incorporación de una figura especialmente significativa en el escritor ruso, como el hombre inútil.","PeriodicalId":40522,"journal":{"name":"Pasavento-Revista de Estudios Hispanicos","volume":"8 1","pages":"319-332"},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2021-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43644681","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Los estudios autoriales recientes destacan la importancia de volver la mirada sobre la instancia autorial a fin de reevaluar los vínculos con su propia obra y el papel que juega en el entramado de las relaciones que esta establece con el contexto. Al dar lugar a autofiguraciones, los géneros autobiográficos problematizan el estatuto del creador y, por lo tanto, lo convierten en el centro del conflicto realidad-ficción, origen de numerosas discusiones. Por esta razón, aquí propongo una reflexión que considera al autor como el indicador principal del carácter referencial adjudicado a ambos géneros, pero también, y por su misma naturaleza inestable y fragmentada, como la fuente de las paradojas que contaminan a la autobiografía y definen a la autoficción.","PeriodicalId":40522,"journal":{"name":"Pasavento-Revista de Estudios Hispanicos","volume":"8 1","pages":"463-480"},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2020-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47585627","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
