Cryptography protects the information so that the intruder cannot have access to the data of interest. There are various algorithms implemented to transform the information to be transmitted into cipher form so that it does not have any traces of its original form and can be protected from trespasser. Chaotic based Grain 128-bit is a stream cipher made up of a linear and a non-linear feedback shift registers, which is fed by a chaotic logistic map and a Boolean non-linear filter, which is fed by both LFSR and NLFSR. Key is generated using Chaotic based Grain 128-bit stream cipher and is used in the application for image encryption. The generation of the key is implemented on Xilinx ISE xc7a100t-3csg324 using Verilog code is also discussed. Analysis of the work is done by plotting a histogram of input, encrypted, and decrypted images.","PeriodicalId":404791,"journal":{"name":"EngRN: Communication System (Topic)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130404817","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, companies face the challenge of measuring and evaluating how the introduction of new technology will impact operational processes. This paper takes a systems approach to study how to assess the trade-offs of adopting data-driven mechanisms to improve operational processes in a multichannel customer support system. We investigate potential cost savings from two technology applications: classification methods to direct customers to efficient self-service communication channels and routing methods to match customers with agents based on the query type and available skill set. Discrete event simulation experiments model and evaluate how lower-level technology adoption, characterized purely on a functional level, affects system-level performance. Resulting discussions include practical examples of how operational managers could use experimental information to make strategic operational decisions when adopting data-driven technologies. What-if scenarios combine distinct configurations of the customer classification mechanisms and the available communication channels, to evaluate the reduction in the total number of agents needed to meet a target service quality level.","PeriodicalId":404791,"journal":{"name":"EngRN: Communication System (Topic)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127769845","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

More recently, social media have emerged as an increasingly important source of hyperlocal news. Thus far, the Information System (IS) literature on using social media to create desirable societal benefits, such as civic awareness and engagement, is still in its infancy. One key challenge in this research stream is to timely and accurately distill information from noisy social media data streams to community members. In this work, we develop SHEDR (Social Me-dia-based Hyperlocal Event Detection & Recommendation), an end-to-end neural event detection and recommendation framework on Twitter to facilitate residents’ information-seeking of hyperlo-cal events. The key innovation in SHDER lies in the design of the hyperlocal event detector and the event recommender. First, we harness the power of two popular deep neural network models, CNN and LSTM, in a joint CNN-LSTM model to characterize spatial-temporal dependencies for capturing unusualness in a region of interest, which is classified as a hyperlocal event. Next, we develop a neural pair-wise ranking algorithm for recommending detected hyperlocal events t resi-dents based on their interests. To alleviate the sparsity issue and improve personalization, our algo-rithm incorporates several types of contextual information covering topic, social and geographical proximities. We perform comprehensive evaluations based on two large scale datasets comprising geotagged tweets covering Seattle and Chicago. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our frame-work in comparison to several state-of-the-art approaches. We show that our hyperlocal event de-tection and recommendation models consistently and significantly outperform other approaches in terms of precision, recall, and F-1 scores.","PeriodicalId":404791,"journal":{"name":"EngRN: Communication System (Topic)","volume":"225 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121046464","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also addition, the amalgamation of multiple radio nodes and multiple hops mesh framework tends to overcome the limitation of single radio networks like the ability to achieve the rising accessible system bandwidth. In spite of these benefits, certain MCMR wireless mesh networks still suffer from performance issues like network connectivity, network throughput degradation whenever network size increases. Thus, an effective channel assignment (CA) approach could minimize the number of interference co-channels and enhance the throughput of the network. Thus, a hybridized form of gravitational search approach and particle swarm optimization is presented in this paper to resolve the issue of CA. The velocity and position updates of PSO are merged with the GSA operations to obtain the best channel with good connectivity. This approach maximizes the capability of exploration and exploitation for global and local searches using PSO and GSA operations. The goal of this methodology is the minimization of a number of interfering links and the maximization of network connectivity and throughput. The experimental results for this approach are carried out using NS2 and compared with previously suggested heuristic optimization algorithms such as Learning Automated and Genetic Algorithm Approach, Improved Gravitational Search Approach and Dynamic particle swarm optimization Approach. The simulation outcome showed a better performance of the suggested methodology compared to existing methodologies.","PeriodicalId":404791,"journal":{"name":"EngRN: Communication System (Topic)","volume":"173 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127017399","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
