NDN offers a solution that best addresses today's networking model's needs, focusing on data-centric communication that enhances network efficiency. This article analyzes how NDN performs in the constrained UWSN environment. Moreover, a detailed analysis of security issues and challenges in NDN based UWSNs is presented.
