We describe a book cover retrieval system based on enhanced SIFT descriptor by incorporating “binary string” descriptor. Furthermore, a new error recovery based on angle difference of the matching pairs is integrated into the SIFT matching method. Considering the shortcomings of existing test equipments, a new method of integrated test for control system signals is studied, and the test software is developed. Aiming at the standardization and modularization of software, an overall design of software is put forward by describing the function structure and operating mode of the new test system. The information flow of system is concluded and analyzed through software engineering method. Acquisition plans of different kinds of signals are determined, and the flow of multiplex signals acquisition is brought forward. Then some stability simulations and measurements were taken to make sure that the amplifier can be unconditionally stable. Oil-water two-phase flow as a complicated fluid flow is one of the most complex systems. In this paper, we employ visibility graph to analyze the signals measured from experiment two-phase flow. We first introduce the inclined oil-water two-phase flow experiment and data acquisition. Then we present the algorithm for constructing visibility graphs from signals. Finally, we infer and analyze visibility graphs from signals measured under different fluid flow conditions. The results indicate that the combination parameters of network degree are sensitive to the transition among different flow patterns, which can be used to distinguish and characterize different oil-water two-phase flow patterns. Then, we propose a novel energy-aware resource allocation algorithm by integrating the power cost into the objective function. The proposed algorithm has been implemented in a distributed manner. The multivariable system is decoupled statically, and then the neurocontroller is used in each input-output path to control the decoupling multivariable system. This is contributing to the ever enhancing human suffering of the region. The present study investigates the extreme rainfall in Pakistan by using General Pareto Distribution (GPD) method. This in turn is used to analyze extraordinary rainfalls of summer 2010. The results indicate that during the summer 2010 northwestern parts of Pakistan received abnormally high rainfalls. Of which a few places got rainfalls with return periods of more than fifty years. Mainly northern and north eastern parts of the country have the highest return year values during the monsoon season. Similarly south eastern parts of the country also show high return year values in summer. While most western parts of the country have small return year values in the monsoon or summer season. Climatologically these areas have comparatively less precipitation during summer monsoon.
