Everest to the Tarai area. Nepalese aquaculture is still in its early stages, and fish production is still insufficient in comparison to global levels. Fish is a popular cuisine in Nepal, and it is enjoyed by people of all ages, genders, and religions. The total national fish production is currently 77,000 m.t., with 28 percent coming from catch fisheries and 72 percent from aquaculture. Aquaculture and open-water capture fisheries account for around 2% of agricultural gross domestic product; this little share of the fisheries sector is promising, with an annual growth rate of 8–9%. Total fisheries production in Nepal was reported at 81070 metric tons in 2018, according to the World Bank assortment of development indicators, compiled from officially recognized bases. Small-scale fishermen's catch production and secondary data in Nepal's Chitwan District, Bagmati Province, from 2010 to 2019. Regression estimates model and multivariate regression analysis of time series data, the Cobb-Douglas production function equation rational technique is applied. Changes in the number of fish caught have an impact on the home economics and spending. The length of the river, outboard engine power, and regional differences in area were found to have a positive impact on small-scale fishermen's catch production, whereas gasoline, schooling, and family dependents had a negative impact, though fishing gear, kerosene, and fishermen's age had no considerable impact.","PeriodicalId":403873,"journal":{"name":"NCC Journal","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133978539","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It considers the main four perspectives of the BSC evaluation approach including the financial, the  customer, the  internal processes, and the  learning and growth perspective. This study is primarily descriptive in nature. The questionnaire was delivered to nine commercial bank managers, including three state-owned banks, three joint-venture banks, and three private banks. A total of 180 questionnaires were distributed to them, and 129 (71.67%) were returned and used. The results reveal that Nepalese bank managers have a perception of a better financial position. They use the financial perspective as an important aspect of the BSC evaluation approach when measuring bank performance. In terms of customer perspective, the results show that banks have better customer connections. It also suggests that Nepalese bank managers believe that using customer viewpoints is critical to the performance of their institutions. In practice, both the internal process and the learning and growth perspective appear to be fair. As a result, Nepalese commercial banks succeed in each of the four aspects of the BSC evaluation approach.","PeriodicalId":403873,"journal":{"name":"NCC Journal","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127113103","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current study was carried out to measure the impact of perceived workplace ostracism on knowledge-withholding behavior and the moderating role of job contracts in the relationship between workplace ostracism and knowledge-withholding behavior. Perceptual and cross-sectional data were collected from the employees working in the Nepalese co-operative industry. Among the surveyed employees, 329 responses were analyzed using SPSS. Positivist research philosophy and deductive reasoning approach were used to reach a conclusion from the quantitative data. This study revealed that workplace ostracism positively affects knowledge-withholding behavior. Job contracts moderated the relationship between workplace ostracism and knowledge-withholding behavior. Permanent employees' knowledge-withholding behavior was positively impacted by workplace ostracism. Temporary employees' knowledge-withholding behavior was not affected due to workplace ostracism. A number of implications and directions for future research are suggested.","PeriodicalId":403873,"journal":{"name":"NCC Journal","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122553268","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research focuses on three independent variables: Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Credit-Deposit Ratio (CDR), and Non-Performing Loan Ratio (NPLR). Descriptive analysis and regression tests were conducted to analyze the data obtained from a sample of 10 commercial banks with 50 observations. The descriptive statistics reveal the mean and range of the variables, indicating the average and variability of CAR, CDR, NPLR, and NIM in the sample. The regression analysis examines the relationship between the independent variables and NIM. The findings suggest that CDR significantly impacts NIM, indicating that higher utilization of deposits for lending activities contributes to increased interest income and, ultimately, higher NIM. However, CAR and NPLR do not show significant relationships with NIM. The results of this study are consistent with previous research that emphasizes the importance of managing the credit-deposit relationship in optimizing NIM. The findings provide insights for Nepal's policymakers, banking regulators, and commercial banks to enhance profitability and financial stability.","PeriodicalId":403873,"journal":{"name":"NCC Journal","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122150441","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper analyzes the effect of working capital Management on firm’s profitability in Nepal for the period 2071 to 2072. For this Purpose, financial data of four year is used. Pearson’s correlation and Descriptive analysis were used to establish the relationship between working capital management and firm’s profitability and components of working capital like Average collection period, Average payment period and Current ratio. The study finds a negative relationship between profitability and average collection period and average payment period, but appositive relationship between profitability and current ratio. Moreover, current ratio and firm size also have significant effects on the firm’s profitability. Based on the key findings from this study it had been concluded that the management of a firm could create value for their shareholders by reducing the number of day’s accounts collection. Firms could also take long to pay their creditors in as far as they did not worry their relationships with these creditors.","PeriodicalId":403873,"journal":{"name":"NCC Journal","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134639101","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
