Human wearable sensor devices are used to monitor the human motion within a Military Region. In this paper it is aimed to monitor and detect intruders [contradictory action / behavior] among entire soldiers in Military-Network using HBSIDS-[Human Body Sensor based Intrusion Detection System]. Since soldiers are considered as nodes in a cooperative network, each node is integrated with wearable sensor nodes in their body. The wearable sensor devices are well configured should cooperate to each other within the region and also with the Base station. If any node moves in wrong direction, communicate with other unknown nodes, dropping wrong information or communicate with wrong messages those nodes are detected as malicious nodes and eliminated from the network by monitoring wearable sensors. HBSIDS is simulated in NS2 software and the results show that HBSIDS can provide better performance than the existing approaches.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130688042","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The availability of timely information on side effects of drugs to consumers is considered to be very vital. However, due to various reasons dissemination of this information does not happen in an effective manner. This study aims to provide a solution to this problem by introducing a new bar code technique in the drugs packaging. Presently the bar code used contains product price details only. Through this paper the introduction of drug side effects details in the bar code along with pricing is suggested. This information can be transferred through medical store to the end user. The technology can be implemented and maintained through BCMA. Thus the BCMA creates drug awareness among patients and the bar code technology would impact the flow process as well as distribute the message of care for patients.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125420531","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In a population of 7.046 billion worldwide, the number is a staggering 7 million. Of all the form of disabilities, the mute have the going tough. The inability of fellow mortals to comprehend what they hope to express serves as a constant remainder of the misfortune that had befallen them. This catastrophe often bars them from finding jobs which meet their skills. Speech synthesizers which are commonly used require the usage of EEG signals which are not always portable. Economy is also a factor which acts against them. Hence, these people mostly resign to the usage of sign language to communicate with others. Taking all these factors into consideration, the system under consideration maps the gestures that are made by these people to words. Using a suitable text to speech converter software, the gestures are translated to speech. To map these gestures, the Microsoft Kinect, an economical yet reliable depth sensing camera is used. The proposed system could be deployed in auditoriums, classrooms and other addressing environments.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125534949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among all biométrie methods, face recognition offers more benefits as compared to others. Diagnosing human faces and localizing them in images or videos is the priori step of tracking and recognizing. But the performance of face detection is limited by certain factors namely lighting conditions, pose variation, occlusions, low resolution images and complex background. To overcome the problems, this paper examines a fusion strategy in the enhancement-based skin-color segmentation approach that can improve the performance of face detection algorithm. The method is robust against complex background, ethnicity and lighting variations. The method consists of three steps. The first step receives spatial transform techniques in parallel to enhance the contrast of the image, change the color space of the enhanced images to YCbCr, apply skin segmentation technique and yield the binary segmented images. The second step ascertains the weight of accuracy (WoA) of each of the segmented image and fed it into the fusion strategy to get the final skin detected region. Finally, the last step localizes the human face. The methodology is not constrained to just frontal face identification. However, it is invariant with the diverse head postures, enlightment condition and size of faces. The experimental result demonstrates the improvement in the accuracy and precision along with the reduction in FPR as compared to other enhancement classifiers.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126418953","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many researches are being done to classify and analyze the ECG signals automatically. In this paper, a novel method for the Auto analysis of the ECG signals using MATLAB is proposed and implemented. In this method, the raw ECG data obtained from the patient goes through a process of Wavelet Packet Decomposition (WPD) followed by Feature extraction. The classification is further done using Artificial Neural Network (ANN). This method, succeeding in differentiating the Abnormal ECG signals from the Normal signals, is proved to be a novel method for Auto analysis of ECG signals.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124930740","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
