This paper proposes a novel method for Satellite Imagery Classification. Our proposed method is a combination of Local Binary Pattern (LBP) and Fuzzy c-means classification algorithm. Local Binary Pattern is calculated by thresholding a 3 × 3 neighborhood of each pixel by the center pixel value. During the Feature Extraction Phase, Local Binary Pattern extracts the important characteristics from the satellite images. Fuzzy c-means algorithm classifying the images into different classes. This is a very challenging task in texture feature extraction being used in satellite images.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"363 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121724806","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In recent times, even though spectral domain detection technique has proved higher potential in terms of extremely high sensitivity and image acquisition speed, the major shortcomings is existence of speckle and its effect on interpretation and diagnosis. In this present paper, preprocessing for automated segmentation in the Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography (SDOCT) retinal images is performed using anisotropic diffusion filtering method. The image enhancement is done initially by fuzzification technique which uses the maximum fuzzy entropy principle. For effective removal of speckles which of the order of 2-3μm anistropic diffusion filtering is performed. The performance of the filter is analyzed practically by measuring its quantitative parameters of structural similarity index measure and the results show that significant improvement in image quality is achieved by preserving the edges.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132092778","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has become a promising technique for high data rate wireless communication systems. It has been widely employed for 4G systems like WiFi, DVB - T, WiMAX, LTE - A etc. Here LTE physical layer downlink is considered which conveys information from enhanced base station (eNodeB) to mobile user equipment (UE) using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access technique for LTE physical layer downlink channel estimation. To overcome the disadvantages of existing channel estimation methods, a new method is proposed by combining LS and MMSE methods using Genetic Operators like Mutation and Crossover. In this method, a four step algorithm is used. The best channel estimation matrix is selected with minimum error among the three estimated matrices with the help of fitness function. The simulation results show the performance of the new proposed method with BPSK is better and produces low NMSE ranging from 10-15 to 10-3 and zero BER. With more number of iterations, QPSK is better than BPSK in proposed method but has higher BER than BPSK. The selection of modulation schemes in adaptive modulation is essential. This technique can be used in medical field for transferring patient information immediately to doctor and can be used in situations where the ambulance cannot be arrived in time to the accident or wounded area.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"137 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127418477","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the constraint of WSN in terms of topology, connectivity, a theory about Next hop graph is proposed. In this paper the advent of the next hop graph is generated by supplimenting the graph into the ring based super node structure which is formed by maintaining the position of each sensor nodes in an undirected structure. The proposed WSN model achieves higher rate of results in terms of accuracy, connectivity and topological characteristics. The improved Graph & cut algorithm is utilized to evaluate the optimal path during data transmission. Here straight line routing is utilized in order to provide efficacy of the proposed branch and cut algorithm. The improved part of the straight line routing algorithm is to effectively establish the connectivity with a set of trusted routes in heterogenous networks, which will helps to propagate in future additional deployment of sensor nodes. An example of motivation has been incorporated in order to reduce the overhead payload of sensor nodes which lies in a structured graph. Simulation model of the protocol is clearly mentioned and discussed which shows the accuracy and efficacy of the proposed algorithm. The improved version of straight line routing achieves with 84% accuracy in terms of setting the trusted route for heterogenous sensor nodes.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115338045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Factors like energy, memory, bandwidth and processing capability affects the characteristics of the network which implies in reduced data collection. To avoid the reduction in data collection, mobile sensor nodes are used. They cover large area in short time and these networks are called as mobile wireless sensor networks (MWSN). In MWSN, set routing is used as one of the routing method for maximum data collection. In which the entire network is divided into many sets. This routing algorithm is applied for each set with the consideration that there is no node failure in the network. Here this work shows that how a new route is discovered if a node fails in a set using the Foldable Lookup Table (FLT) method. Also FLT method is compared with the routing table developed by fuzzy variables. Simulation is performed with OMNET++ simulator. Result shows the effectiveness of node failure in terms of delay and packet drops and how the route is maintained during node failure is shown with respect to delay.","PeriodicalId":403563,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Science Engineering and Management Research (ICSEMR)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129138032","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
