Their development is strongly integerated with Neural Networks. But, recognizing Devanagari Script is relatively greater challenge due to script's complexity. Various techniques have been implemented for this problem with many improvements so far. This paper describes the development and implementation of one such system comprising combination of several stages. Mainly Artificial Neural Network technique is used to designed to preprocess, segment and recognize devanagari characters. This paper is intended to provide a linear algebra point of explanation of the concepts behind CDMA. The CDMA concept which was otherwise analyzed in spectral point of view is explained using the orthogonality of the bases. Model Predictive Control appeared in industry as an effective means to deal with multivariable constrained control problems. This paper does the study of the pH neutralization process of a weak acid - strong base system using a neural network model predictive control technique. This paper analyzes optimized architecture and implementation aspects of decimator and interpolator using CIC filter and comparison between the results in hardware and simulations. The hardware is synthesized in FPGA and verified with Modelsim and Matlab simulation results. CIC filters function as efficient anti-aliasing filters before downsampling of signals in decimation process and as anti-imaging filters after upsampling of signals in interpolation process. Optical character recognition (OCR) is one of the main aspects of computer vision and has evolved greatly since its inception. OCR is a method in which readable characters are recognized from optical data obtained digitally. Many methodologies and algorithms have been developed for this purpose using different approaches. Here we present one such approach for OCR named “ i ”. Amongst all other OCR systems available, “ i ” aims at a high speed, simple, font independent and size independent OCR system based on a unique segment extraction technique. This algorithm can be used as a kernel for single alphabet detection within a complete OCR solution system without the need for any complex mathematical operations. The highlight of this methodology is that, it does not use any libraries or databases of image matrices to recognize alphabets, but it has a unique algorithm to recognize alphabets instead. The low noise amplifier is the key block of an RF receiver plays a critical role in determining the noise figure of a receiver. Low noise amplifier is a cascaded current reuse source degenerative cascode amplifier and a resistive feedback active inductor load amplifier. Active inductor load is proposed to achieve low power consumption and low noise figure. By bringing much functionality as software, SDR reduces the cost of hardware maintenance and up-gradation. Open source hardware such as USRP (Universal Software Radio Peripheral) and software called GNU Radio-Companion are commonly used to do experiments in SDR. Since the cost of USRP is high, a low cost set up is needed which is affordable by the student community. In this paper a low cost alternative to USRP is proposed using RTL-SDR (Realtek Software Defined Radio) which is only used for reception. For transmitting purpose, a mixer circuit can be used to map the baseband signal to the band that can be received by RTL-SDR on the other end on Linux / Windows platform. Initially, the experiment is done in simulation. After that, it is tested with low cost hardware such as mixer and RTL-SDR. The objective function is nonlinear owing to the thermal and electrical systems involved which increases the complexity of the nature of the constraints also. The problem can be simulated using matlab in GAOT toolbox and the proposed scheme can render at least 4% in the average demand. A hybrid grid consists of both AC and DC grid. AC power sources and loads are connected to the AC grid whereas DC power sources and loads are connected to the DC grid and both the grids are connected together by a bidirectional converter. In this paper, a hybrid microgrid consisting a wind turbine and fuel cell stack is proposed to reduce the process of multiple AC-DC-AC and DC-AC-DC conversions which are commonly seen in an individual AC grid or DC grid. The proposed hybrid grid is operating in grid connected mode. The various control mechanisms are implemented for the power electronic converters for smooth power exchange between AC and DC grids and for stable operation of the proposed hybrid microgrid under various resource conditions.
