This study seeks to understand the intention to use mobile news applications by students in India. To address this broad objective, an extended technology adoption model has been proposed with the inclusion of news motivation and perceived hedonic value and tested on 384 students at a university in India. Structural equation modeling results reveal that student mobile news app adoption intention is not dependent on the perceived hedonic value; however, this relationship is mediated by attitude. News motivation predicts adoption intention, which indicates that news app adoption is largely seen as utilitarian, this is also proven by the fact that perceived usefulness significantly predicts adoption intention.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. However, such practices increase security risks, especially if users use a number of applications or store data on their smartphones. Risks become more complicated by keeping smartphones online. This work aims to find potential relationships between security perceptions of smartphone users and their ease-of-use and speed preferences. Two user attitudes are defined as “not considering risk” and “risk exaggeration.” User ease-of-use and speed preferences are limited with the factors related to storing credentials on a smartphone and always keeping the device online. A survey of 154 participants was conducted through convenience sampling. Through regression analyses, logarithmic causality relations are found between EoU and speed and attitudes of not considering risk or risk exaggeration; so the participants preferred to take advantage of EoU and speed despite the fact that they were aware of the risks.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. Such an understanding will enable users to ensure the apps they download are secure and create greater awareness in the marketplace of the presence of hackers and malware used to invade the privacy and personal details of smartphones users. Research on the perception of users' mobile security is very limited and needs further investigation. This study aims to identify how mobile users perceive the security of different mobile apps and the extent to which different apps affect such perceptions. This study also investigates mobile user preferences for the places where they can access apps and their perceptions of risk at marketplaces vs. websites. This study is based on a qualitative research in which interviews were conducted with 32 university students. The study found that mobile users do not feel secure when installing mobile apps, and that concerns about hacking personal and private information are pervasive. Users expressed more security concerns regarding entertainment apps such as games and communication rather than financial apps, such as banking. The study also found that users prefer installing apps from app stores. The findings of this research contribute a greater understanding of how mobile users perceive mobile app security and offers insights that will help developers adjust their security policies to ensure users' security. The study also presents theoretical and empirical contributions, along with limitations and suggestions for further work.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. E Serv. Mob. The cultural diversity of users benefits learning but challenges institutions. In this context, we are trying to identify the cultural dimensions that influence the e-learning experience of users from different cultures. As we are interested in the meaning given by users to their experiences, we have conducted a qualitative study with 15 teachers and learners in a multi-cultural context. The content analysis showed the existence of four dimensions that can be factors of convergence or divergence for the learners. These dimensions are management of time and learning activities, management of the learning space, management of interpersonal relations, and style of communication. The results call the attention of professionals to improve the practical approaches to adapt e-learning services to different cultures in order to improve the perception of the e-learning experience.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. The aim of this article is twofold. First, we evaluate the difference between respondents 18 to 24 and 25 to 34 according to their attitudes towards the usage of offered e-government solutions. Second, we determine the presence of the obstacles in using e-government solutions among these two age groups. The utilization of e-government services is still rather low, and one, a very important reason for lower usage of e-government services in Croatia is the perceived low level of quality of the e-government services with the perceived high level of obstacles towards their usage.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. This article synthesizes insights from research on challenges related to employee information security practices and measures to address them. The challenges identified are associated to idiosyncratic aspects of communities and individuals within organizations (culture and personal characteristics) and to systemic aspects of organizations (procedural and structural arrangements). The measures aimed to enhance systemic capabilities and to adapt security mechanisms to the idiosyncratic characteristics and are categorized as: (a) measures of training and awareness; (b) measures of organizational support; and (c) measures of rewards and penalties. Further research is needed to explore the dynamics related to how challenges emerge, develop, and get addressed over time and also, to explore the interplay between systemic and idiosyncratic aspects. Additionally, research is needed on the role of security managers and how it can be reconfigured to suit flatter organizations.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. E Serv. Mob. The combination of text mining with legal elements may contribute to the development of many innovative legal IS. Moreover, in the case of public administrations and governments, the distribution, availability, and access towards legal information are essential and urgent. On the other hand, legal data and law texts are a potential open government data category in order for innovation to be achieved, regarding the development of new, better, and more cost-effective services for citizens. Those data need to be available 24/7 basis and compliant towards a standard. Yet, there exist some severe issues at the moment regarding this access. This, in turn, makes the use of automated crawling and analysis more than difficult. This paper describes the “Peri Nomou” system: an innovative legal information system for Greek laws utilising text mining techniques to indexing legal documents, identifying correlations and dividing legal documents into their articles.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int.
