The decentralized nature of blockchains makes them ideal for addressing these challenges. In this paper, the blockchain maturity model was used to assess the maturity and readiness of Ghanaian banks to adopt blockchain technology for KYC processes. Using primary data obtained via questionnaires and interviews, the individual components of the blockchain maturity model were assessed. The results indicate that the network, hardware, and software components are at repeatable, defined, and managed stages, respectively, while the people component lags in the initial stage due to a lack of adequate staff training. Finally, security and privacy are at the defined stage, whereas policy and regulations are at the initial stage.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. E Serv. Mob. For this purpose, a theoretical model—based on the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT)—was developed. To test the hypotheses, a survey was conducted on 326 Algerian bank customers, and the data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. At the end, the results indicate that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use significantly positively influence attitudes toward e-banking. In turn, attitudes toward e-banking influence behavioral intention and behavioral intention, facilitating conditions each influence significantly and positively actual e-banking use. The results also found that the relationship between perceived usefulness and attitude toward e-banking use was stronger for women, and the relationship between facilitating conditions and actual e-banking use was significantly stronger for older end-users.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. These challenges could be addressed by leveraging technological innovations like mBanking; however, literature indicates that there is limited understanding of integrating mobile technology into banking to enhance financial inclusion. The study collected data from Vhembe District Municipality in South Africa. Results indicated that of the 17 factors tested, 14 were significant for using mBanking to improve financial inclusion. The study recommends that for financial inclusion improvement, developing countries should design realistic policies and strategies that could enable the use of mBanking, especially mobile money and agent banking, that can reach a wider population at low cost.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. The model integrates a relationship-driving indicator, namely perceived value and a condition that permanently predicts the use of technology: usefulness. This framework derives its originality from the integration of these variables and verification in timely and innovative service, namely mobile banking applications. The results allowed to accept the hypotheses assuming the impact of the perception of usefulness and value, as well as system and service quality on satisfaction. The latter has a significant influence on continuance intention. However, the impact of information quality was insignificant, and hypotheses assuming the dependence of continuance intention on usefulness and service quality are rejected. These results are discussed, and the conclusion deduces managerial recommendations and directions for future research.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. E Serv. Mob. Starting from a list of benefits and costs for four selected smart city applications (smart parking, water quality monitoring, air quality monitoring, and real-time traffic monitoring) that was generated by a young demographic of (future and current) users, a survey was organised to classify, reduce and evaluate the initial set of items. The respondents rated the identified potential benefits and costs of using the applications as a part of an integrated smart city solution. The results of a multivariate analysis based on the feedback from over 200 participants are presented in the paper. The main factors of identified perceived costs and benefits are indicated, and the link with the intention to use an integrated smart city application is reviewed.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. The factors that affect the degree of innovation (innovation efforts, competitive priorities, market strategy, the internal organisational atmosphere) impact the financial performance of insurance companies considering the market conditions. In order to shed some light on that research gap in post-transition countries, survey research has been conducted on a sample of insurance companies in the Republic of North Macedonia. The results obtained from the structural equation modelling analysis, which seeks to determine the structural relationship between the measured variables and the latent constructions, reveal positive effects of innovation performance on the profitability of insurance companies.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. The study also tests through a moderated mediation approach, the mediation of continued intention to use between flow experience-marketing mix and consumers loyalty while considering the moderating role of e-trust and privacy concern with the application. An online survey was conducted to collect data from the consumers, obtaining 405 valid samples which were analyzed using multiple regression to test the conceptual model of this study. The findings support that flow experience in mobile apps increases consumes intention to use, which is a significant predictor for consumer loyalty for services availed through mobile apps. This study provides insights for the marketers to build the flow in the mobile apps with interactive features, aesthetic design and ease of use to drive for continued intention to use and loyalty.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. The uses and gratifications theory underpins this study which investigates how social media marketing of prominent Malaysian brands on Instagram impacts customer engagement. ScrapeStorm web scraper tool was used to extract posts and comments from the public Instagram accounts of four notable Malaysian brands. The findings reveal that different features of social media, affect consumer engagement differently. Social media influencers had a positive impact on consumption and creation-based customer engagement. Contextual features are negatively correlated with contribution-based customer engagement. In terms of content, videos had greater engagement rates, followed by images of people and images without people. Results also show that consumers reacted positively to informative textual content. Some implications for theory and practice are highlighted.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. E Serv. Mob. AAL provides service through ambient sensors, vision systems, Smartphone devices, and wearable sensors. Smartphone devices are familiar, portable, cost-effective, and make the process of monitoring easier. Various research works have proposed Smartphone based HAR systems to recognize basic and complex activities. However, the results are not satisfactory for the case of postural transitions such as stand-to-sit, sit-to-sleep, etc. To improve the recognition rate, this paper couples Principal Component Analysis with stacking ensemble learning for dimensionality reduction and classification respectively. Extensive experimentation of UCI repository datasets such as UCI- HAR and UCI – HAR has been performed and the performances are measured using familiar metrics such as Accuracy, Precision, and Recall.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. This system permits users to perform their research according to their objectives in diverse ways producing different behaviors. Even users with the same objective may follow different paths and stand different sub-processes, which are introduced as self-defined Business Processes that vary in terms of structure, objective, and result. This puts forward the difficulty of obtaining and studying these user’s behaviors. This paper targets the problem of representing and managing self-defined business process variability. A special interest is given to the use of process mining to deal with this challenge. In this regard, a case study about citizens in interaction with the Electronic Administration is presented, to discover and manage variability of this process type. The main result is a set of recommendations to end users.","PeriodicalId":400317,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. E Serv. Mob.
