An experiment having three factors and three levels was carried out. ANOVA - Analysis of Variance was used to study the influence that the factors have on responses. The objective of optimization was to process corn seeds in microwave field for obtaining a humidity that is well-suited for good storage; another objective was to meet the quality requirements for the treated material. The numerical modeling software called Comsol Multiphysics was used for studying the influence that the factors have on the optimization response.","PeriodicalId":399638,"journal":{"name":"2013 8TH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON ADVANCED TOPICS IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (ATEE)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132839325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research testes and proposes an improved brain computer interface stimulus system, based on event related spectral perturbation. In order to investigate the reaction of the motor cortex to stimuli, the influence of the human senses has to be investigated. A fast forward FEM-BEM solver using database was adopted to simulate the ECT signals due to cracks with parallelepiped shape for various lengths, widths and depths. The inverse problem is formulated as an optimization problem, aiming to minimize the distance between the signal due to of the real crack and the signal due to a potential solution (crack). A novel technique which combines the features of PSO and local search methods is used in the inversion of ECT signals. The local search methods are specific to such kind of inverse problems. The points used in the local search are chosen in order to avoid local minimum in PSO algorithms. Numerical results of the 3D reconstruction of cracks from simulated 2D signals are presented and discussed.","PeriodicalId":399638,"journal":{"name":"2013 8TH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON ADVANCED TOPICS IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (ATEE)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116686040","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A consequence of non-symmetrical situations is the significant value of non-symmetry power. The computation of non-symmetry factor is a method for estimate the influence of non-symmetry power, in three-phase systems, (similar with estimation of reactive power influence by power factor value). The paper describes the computation procedure of non-symmetry factor, considering sequence components, (theorem Fortesque). The value of non-symmetry factor, as we describe, may characterize the non-symmetrical situations. Also, the paper analyzes the principle that sources of the negative and zero sequence components are the non-symmetric consumers.","PeriodicalId":399638,"journal":{"name":"2013 8TH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON ADVANCED TOPICS IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (ATEE)","volume":"46 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120921268","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present paper is concerned with a particular motion related to this topic: the interaction between the free surface and the immersed cylinder in an open channel turbulent flow. The study is focused to the investigations of the vortical structures developed around the cylinder and their dependence on the distance from the free surface. Numerical simulations in 2D configurations are performed with VOF code and k-ε turbulent models. The calculations of the free surface and the direct flow visualizations disclose a good correlation. The results emphasis the major influence on the flow dynamics of the vorticity transport from the free surface to the cylinder. The locations of the critical points on the immersed surface are determined and the flow rate distribution around cylinder is computed.","PeriodicalId":399638,"journal":{"name":"2013 8TH INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON ADVANCED TOPICS IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (ATEE)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-05-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116006925","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Determine their proper functioning and efficient system. Circuit breaker is an example of an element that ensures proper functioning. For example, in a facility with to power on due to limit working voltage, there are significant amounts of current. Any output from nominal operating parameters of the circuit elements and thus cause losses decrease efficiency. To avoid such deficiencies are made periodically or whenever necessary checks of switching devices, performing so-called predictive maintenance. Predictive maintenance aims to assess the status through periodic monitoring (off-line) or continuous (on-line). The ultimate objective of predictive maintenance is maintenance works \"timely\" before the equipment to deteriorate during operation. Scheduled maintenance requires regular interventions on the equipment, often without responding to urgent needs. This paper presents a virtual tool that can take some of the tasks of the operator, ensuring a maintenance high degree of automation. Electrical parameters and kinetic analyzes are obtained by monitoring offline. We aimed to implement a robust algorithm being provided and saving data for later analysis. The sensor system implements a smart recirculation measurement methodology to comply recommendations of the American Thoracic Society and European Respiratory Society about the medical instrumentations devoted to monitor and diagnose the respiratory inflammations.
