The challenge of the system mainly lies in the detection capability of the receiver due to multiple transmissions from different ships received at the satellite simultaneously. To estimate the performance of the receiver proper modeling of the channel access scheme is important. In this paper we propose a generalized methodology of the Self Organized Time Division Multiple Access (SOTDMA) in an extended observation area for satellite based AIS. The performance of the proposed scheme is compared with an existing model and more realistic reception performance by a satellite based receiver is shown.","PeriodicalId":399616,"journal":{"name":"2012 5th International Conference on Computers and Devices for Communication (CODEC)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124843923","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Till today three types of QCA structures are discussed among them magnetic and molecular QCA operates at room temperature but the metallic dot QCA structure operates at a very low temperature at around absolute zero degree Kelvin. In this paper we comprehended that if the spacing between two consecutive cells in a metallic dot QCA is reduced lower than 2nm then the operating temperature can be enhanced up to 12 degree Kelvin. Instead of using only one majority gate we have used multi-input level shifter circuit where four majority gates are used and the output depend on all the inputs and the majority gates operation. According to QCADesigner tool, 2nm spacing between two consecutive cell is taken as standard for any circuit. Multi input level shifter circuit based on Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) is working at increased temperature with decreasing cell space.","PeriodicalId":399616,"journal":{"name":"2012 5th International Conference on Computers and Devices for Communication (CODEC)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122555809","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Large blue shift of the emission energy is observed due to the reduction in the well width. With increase in the current density the emission peak shifts toward higher energy. This shift, which is a major disadvantage of the lighting devices, is minimized by decreasing the width of the QW.","PeriodicalId":399616,"journal":{"name":"2012 5th International Conference on Computers and Devices for Communication (CODEC)","volume":"143 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114256106","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The location and magnitude of the very high TEC values are directly related to the strength of the Equatorial Electrojet (EEJ) on day to day basis. The day to day variability of the location of the anomaly peak and its intensity is very large. This imposes severe limitations on the applicability of commonly used ionospheric models to the low latitude regions. A model is developed based on real time low latitude GPS-TEC data measured around the northern crest of the Equatorial Ionization Anomaly (EIA) during 2007 through 2011. This model is compared with standard ionospheric models like International Reference Ionosphere (IRI) and Parameterized Ionospheric Model (PIM) to establish its utility and applicability in the equatorial region for accurate predictions.","PeriodicalId":399616,"journal":{"name":"2012 5th International Conference on Computers and Devices for Communication (CODEC)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116841043","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The MMIC is realized using a space qualified 0.13μm MHEMT foundry process and is used for the development of Ku to Ka-band upconverter subsystem for on-board applications. It demonstrates a conversion gain of better than 15dB for IF frequency ranges of 12.75-13.25GHz with 8dBm LO drives at 5.35 & 6.95GHz. Six sub-circuits named IF amplifier, IF balun, Quad cold MHEMT mixing cell, LO balun, RF balun & RF amplifier are integrated on a single chip size of 3.7mm × 3mm to get a complete double balanced upconverter.
