{"title":"EXPLORING INVESTOR'S DECISIONS IN ESTIMATING THE EFFECT OF EARNING PERSISTENCE, FINANCIAL LEVERAGE, FOREIGN OWNERSHIP ON COMPANY REPUTATION AND VALUE IN NIGERIA","authors":"Dr. Ebe Emmanuel Chukwuma, Dr. Nwankwo Peter Emeka, Caroline Obiageli Nnamani","doi":"10.36713/epra13947","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.36713/epra13947","url":null,"abstract":"This study evaluates the effect of exploring investors decisions in estimating the effect of earning persistence, financial leverage, foreign ownership on company reputation and value We used multiple regression models on secondary data obtained from the annual and accounts of sampled consumer firms listed in Nigeria Stock Exchange spanning for ten (10) year from 2012-2021. The findings revealed that earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) and market capitalization (MCAP) are positively correlated though not significant at P- value. On the other hand, it can be deduced that the sensitivity of market capitalization to the control variable asset tangibility (at) is statistically positive and insignificant at P-value = 0.502 also but that has a positive and significant effect on financial leverage. It was documented that there exist perfect relationships between asset tangibility, financial leverage and natural logarithm of total assets connoting presence of colinearity. It is easily adjusted using colinearity diagnostics given the non-existence of both lagged values and dummy variables. The implication of the finding revealed that earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) and market capitalization (MCAP) are positive and can be used in predicting the movement of predictors variables regarding regressand; financial leverage, earnings before interest and tax and foreign ownership of consumer firms in Nigeria. The study hereby recommends that: consumer firms should not rely on debt financing but as well lay hand on the other means of increasing its working capital, thus; internal finance, general reserve etc. Above all, there will be collaborate between the firm and foreign partnership to improve financial performance, they should also focus on increasing wealth of the firm ensuring that the firms investors have their return on investment as when due.. The study employs the ARDL model to conduct a meticulous econometric analysis, revealing macroeconomic indicators intricate impacts on economic growth and social welfare. The study reveals a consistent gap between government policies and economic difficulties, indicating an immediate requirement to adjust policy creation and execution. This study examines the societal implications of current economic conditions, specifically the potential for societal unrest and the erosion of families purchasing power. Effective remedial action is imperative. The CUSUM and Sensitivity tests were employed to enhance our research, confirming the strength and dependability of our model and results. Based on our findings, we suggest practical policy measures to address these economic obstacles. The research aims to contribute to the critical discourse on Ghanas economic development, with a focus on achieving economic robustness and social equity in the future. The unique potential of resources at state universities that have been incorporated (PTNBH) is managed effectively to support performance achievement. In order to achieve these achievements, the quality of the availability of appropriate human resources is needed in meeting managerial criteria such as competence, expertise and experience and the role of the management control system is needed as an effort to produce university performance. The population of this study is all leaders within Semarang State University. The sampling technique used a purposive sample of 236 people with statistical data analysis using SEM Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that managerial competence and management control systems have a positive and significant effect on performance achievement, meaning managerial competencies that meet qualifications and are qualified followed by performance achievements based on balance scorecards. Similarly, the implementation of an effective control system leads to the achievement of performance. Such knowledge gives teachers the necessary tools to improve their teaching strategies, foster positive connections with their students, and deftly handle challenging classroom situations.\u0000Methods: A quantitative ABCD framework was used to assess the significance of EI in teachers work engagement. To understand the complex function of EI among college instructors, a thorough assessment of the literature was necessary. The study also used a focused group interview approach, where participants evaluations of college professors emotional intelligence were evaluated by allocating significant weights. The statistical analysis of these weighted perceptions was conducted.\u0000Findings: The advantages, benefits, constraints, and disadvantages (ABCD) of the ABCD framework for emotional intelligence were examined to see how they affected college teachers performance. The research showed that there are more advantages to emotional intelligence than disadvantages. Importantly, Emotional Intelligence showed the least amount of drawbacks, indicating its potential as an effective method for raising teachers general performance.\u0000Originality value: This study emphasises the relevance of emotional intelligence in the context of higher education and the necessity for educators to understand both its advantages and disadvantages.
