The Planning, Programming, Budgeting System (PPBS) and Control is a management approach that has been widely adopted to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of resource allocation and utilization in public sector organizations. This study provides an overview of the key principles and practices of PPBS, and it highlights the differences and similarities in its implementation in industrialized and emerging economies. In these contexts, PPBS is often used to enhance fiscal discipline, promote equity in resource distribution, and reduce corruption. The focus is on short-term planning and basic budgeting practices, with a greater reliance on traditional input-based budgeting methods. While there are clear differences in the sophistication and maturity of PPBS in industrialized and emerging economies, both share common goals, including improved governance, enhanced service delivery, and efficient resource utilization. Furthermore, many developing economies are gradually adopting elements of the PPBS from their developed counterparts, incorporating best practices and adapting them to their specific circumstances. This study underscores the importance of considering the unique context and challenges that public sector organizations face in industrialized and emerging economies when implementing PPBS. It also highlights the potential for cross-learning and knowledge transfer between these two groups, contributing to the continued evolution and improvement of public sector management practices worldwide.\u0000KEYWORDS: Budgeting; Control; Industrialized economies; Emerging economies; Public sector organization; Planning programming budgeting system","PeriodicalId":398391,"journal":{"name":"EPRA International Journal of Economics, Business and Management Studies","volume":" 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139622376","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A cross-sectional survey design was used to gather data from 144 respondents. The study assessed the effectiveness of five key strategies, including seeking support and guidance from school administrators, utilizing resources provided by the educational institution or program, seeking guidance from mentors or experienced professionals, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and collaborating with fellow trainees. The respondents rated each strategy on a scale ranging from 1 (Not effective at all) to 5 (Highly effective). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean ratings and an overall weighted mean. The findings revealed that all five strategies were perceived as highly effective in overcoming challenges during the OJT program implementation, with mean ratings ranging from 4.33 to 4.47. The results suggest that effective support and guidance from school administrators, utilization of available resources, mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and collaboration with fellow trainees are important factors in ensuring the success of OJT programs. The study contributes to the understanding of effective strategies in OJT program implementation and provides insights for educational institutions and organizations involved in workforce training and development.\u0000KEYWORDS: On-the-Job Training, effectiveness, strategies, support and guidance, resources, mentorship, problem-solving, decision-making, collaboration","PeriodicalId":398391,"journal":{"name":"EPRA International Journal of Economics, Business and Management Studies","volume":"45 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139440959","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Specifically, it aims to explore the intricate functions of internal green marketing orientation and strategic green marketing orientation as possible moderated mediators. Based on the expanding domain of green marketing and sustainable business practices, this study suggests that the impact of environmental marketing on market share is contingent upon a firms internal green marketing orientation. Furthermore, the efficacy of this mediation is dependent on the firms strategic stance towards green marketing. The study applies regression modelling to examine the claimed links, using a sample of 150 enterprises across various industries. The findings suggest that organisations that possess a strong internal green marketing orientation see an upward trend in terms of market share. The aforementioned findings highlight the significance of incorporating internal and strategic green marketing strategies with environmental marketing endeavours. In order to optimise market share growth through environmental marketing, it is crucial for organisations to establish a comprehensive alignment between their internal operations and strategic green initiatives. This research provides significant insights for managers and marketers who seek to utilise environmental activities as a means to gain a competitive edge in the market.
