The research was designed as a teacher development experiment and two elementary school mathematics teachers participated in the process. This research was completed in 10 weeks and the process was carried out in 3 different stages as “planning, teaching experiment and case study”. The first stage of the research consists of preparing hypothetical learning trajectories matching the objectives in the curriculum by covering all the objectives in algebra. All activities in HLT were appropriate to the use of representations during teaching. In the second stage, the teaching experiment was conducted with two teachers under the supervision of one of the experts. In the third stage, teachers implemented teaching activities based on HLT in their classrooms. Videos taken during teaching and at professional development meetings with teachers are the main data sources of the present research. With the ability to write, students use both the grammar rules and vocabulary of the target language together, and try to form a whole by establishing meaningful relationships between them. In this context, the aim of this study is to eliminate the problems that the 9th grade students faced in the process of gaining English writing skills by teaching them how to use language learning strategies. The research was carried out with the action research. The study group of the research consists of 38 high school students in Afyonkarahisar studying in the 2018-2019 academic year. The research data were collected by a semi-structured interview form, an observation form, researcher-practitioner and student diaries. The data were collected during the treatment process. Descriptive analysis was used in the analysis of data. The data obtained from the diaries, the interview and observation forms show that students using language learning strategies started writing activities in a much more motivated way and this motivation positively affected the writing process. For this purpose, as a result of the exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, a scale which consists of two factors and 28 items was obtained. In this study, validity of the scale was examined in terms of the content and construct validity. In the scale of causes of absenteeism which was obtained as a result of the exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, the dimension of the internal causes of absenteeism consists of 12 items, the dimension of the external causes of absenteeism consists of 16 items. Cronbach Alpha reliability method was used for reliability of the scale. In the analyses, it was determined that the Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of the scale was .94 in the first application, .92 in the second application and two components explained 40.10 % of the total variance together. According to the results of confirmatory factor analysis studies, fit indices were calculated such as: X2 /sd = 3.41, GFI (.82), CFI (.95), NFI (.93), RMSEA (.08), AGFI (.79), SRMR (.06), p (.00) and it was seen that fit indices were in a sufficient range. The validity and reliability analyses showed that the scale can measure the causes of teacher absenteeism. This research adopts a phenomenological study design in accordance with qualitative research method. The study group of the current research consists of 11 science teachers who worked in different cities of Turkey in the 2018-2019 academic year. The teachers in the study group were asked to participate in the project study that was prepared for the activity-based teaching of astronomy topics carried out through the eTwinning platform. Within the five-week period, teachers carried out the activities related to the project in the eTwinning platform in their classrooms, and they shared their opinions and visuals about the activities with other colleagues that participated in the project. At the end of the process, the project was completed when teachers organized an exhibition in order to present their students’ activities and the products created at their schools. As the data collection tool, open ended question form was used. The content analysis was used in the analysis of data. The data obtained were supported via opinions of teachers. As a result of the research, it was determined that teachers participated in these project studies in order to teach activity-based courses and contribute to their professional development. On the other hand, it is also a result of the activities that made the students raise curiosity; therefore, they actively participated in the process, learned by having fun and embodied abstract concepts. The ability to read and interpret statistical graphs is an important part of statistical literacy. Students must be able to read and interpret the information presented with the graphs encountering through different media such as newspapers and magazines. This study, carried out as a case study, examined the reading and interpreting graphs levels of five middle school students. This study was conducted during the spring semester of the 2017-2018 academic year in a public middle school located in the district of Sivas. The participants of the study consisted of five (4 girls, 1 boy) 7th-grade students. For the purpose of the study, the activities designed by the researchers were implemented to examine the students’ levels of graph reading and interpretation. After the activities were implemented, the individual interviews were conducted with five participating students to examine their graph reading and interpretation levels in more detail. The data sources for this study were students’ written activity sheets of including reading and interpreting graphs and activity-based individual interviews. The findings of the study revealed that the students interpreted the graphs, where they were asked to interpret the graphs through an open-ended question for each graph, by reading between data at three different levels as very low level, low level and medium level, but they could not read between data at a high level. On the other hand, the findings indicated that the students answered the structured questions accurately that they would answer by reading and comparing the data directly from the graph.
