The sample of the study consisted of (338) students from the Latin Patriarchate schools in Jordan for the academic year 2019/2020.To achieve the purposes of the study, the researcher developed two measures were used for the purposes of this study, Motivation scale, prepared by (Corpus, Iyengar,, Lipper, 2005) from its original version originally prepared by Harter (Harter, 1980,1981), self-esteem scale (Echelle Toulousaine d'Estime de Soi) prepared by (Oubrayrie, N., de Léonardis, M. et Safont-Mottay, C. 1994). The results of the study showed that the level of motivation was high and the level of self-esteem was medium among the sample of the study, and the results also showed a positive correlation between self-esteem and the motivation among the sample of the study. The main recommendation of this study is to conduct more studies about the relationship between Self-esteem and motivation towards learning.","PeriodicalId":394836,"journal":{"name":"Jordanian Educational Journal","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127374692","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study employed the analytical descriptive methodology. The population of the study consisted of (4049) male & female teachers from the UNRWA schools, and in order to achieve the goal of the study a sample of (335) male & female teachers were randomly selected. They were chosen by the stratified random sample method. The study tool was presented by two questionnaires, the first questionnaire is to measure the social intelligence level and the second is to measure applying the contents of the leadership program for future, after being certain of its procedures validity and reliability. The results indicated that the level of social intelligence among the principals of the UNRWA schools has come in a great degree, with a mean of 76.8. The results have also indicated that the level of applying the contents of leadership program for future has come in greater degree and with a mean of 76.8. The results showed that there is a predictive ability for the social intelligence for future upto the extent of applying the contents of the leadership program, where the social intelligence was interpreted at (70.8) in disparity in the degree of applying by the principals of the UNRWA schools, and the detection of direct linear relations among the variables","PeriodicalId":394836,"journal":{"name":"Jordanian Educational Journal","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133755941","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve the purpose of the study, (165) male and female students from the university colleges volunteered to determine the determinants primarily, and two equivalent samples with regard to gender and college type were used to collect the scaling data. The first consisted of (120) male and female students studying a major which is their first choice, the second consisted of (120) male and female students studying a major differs from their first choice. The scaling values on importance scale were estimated using the Law of Comparative Judgments, Direct Estimation and the Law of Catogerical Judgments. The results showed that the most important major choice determinants are: opportunities to obtain work, secondary school exam scores mean, personal desire, and admission opportunities. Also, it was found that there was a consistency among scaling methods in ranking the determinants on the importance scale.","PeriodicalId":394836,"journal":{"name":"Jordanian Educational Journal","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124405545","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The instrument was administrated to a sample totaling (412) male and female teachers selected from basic schools at Irbid governorate. Validity and reliability of the instruments were obtained. The results of the study showed that emotional intelligence was moderate; and that leadership performance was also moderate. It was found that there was a positively significant statistical correlation between basic schools principals’ emotional intelligence level at Irbid governorate and their leadership performance from teachers’ point of view.
