These capital allocation decisions require assessment of company’s value. Financial reports are integral and fundamental to such a valuation exercise. However, because of different legal political and economic systems, measurement, analysis, and reporting of many business and financial transactions is country specific. Differences in accounting rules and principles add cost, complexity, and risk for both the companies preparing financial statements and the investors making economic decisions. Such differences complicate comparison of accounting statements prepared under different regimes. This article approaches the problem from two perspectives. The historical perspective helps understand the evolution of accounting into an important business tool and the need to have common accounting practices across the globe. The second perspective looks at the progress made till date to achieve convergence and important areas of economic activity where differences exist. The findings have been arrived at with the help of an in-depth review of available literature. They help conclude that the much sought after convergence is still work in progress as there are large number of economic activities whose accounting treatment differs in different areas of operation.","PeriodicalId":394459,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management Research and Analysis","volume":"AES-11 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139272019","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Motivated employees are more likely to contribute their best efforts, stay engaged, and strive for excellence. Understanding and fostering motivation among employees is a key responsibility for managers and leaders within an organization. Motivation can be categorized into two main types: intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic motivation comes from within an individual and is driven by personal satisfaction, a sense of achievement, or a genuine interest in the work itself. On the other hand, extrinsic motivation is external and involves factors such as salary, benefits, recognition, and promotions. The study underscores the significance of using motivational technique for fostering employee development and achieving business goals.","PeriodicalId":394459,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management Research and Analysis","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139271587","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The MSMEs sector has played a critical role in employment generation, skill development, and women's empowerment in rural areas of Rajasthan. The government of Rajasthan has implemented various initiatives to promote and support MSMEs, such as the Rajasthan MSME Policy, Cluster Development Programme, Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme, and MSME Facilitation Council. These initiatives have created a conducive business environment for MSMEs, provided access to finance and credit, and promoted skill development and training for entrepreneurs, including rural women. The impact of these initiatives has been significant, with MSMEs contributing significantly to employment generation, skill development, and economic empowerment of rural women in Rajasthan (Tiwari, S., & Saha, S., 2020). The success stories of MSMEs run by women in Rajasthan have inspired other women in rural areas to take up entrepreneurship, leading to their economic empowerment and a positive impact on their communities. Overall, the government initiatives have helped to create a vibrant ecosystem for MSMEs in Rajasthan, paving the way for sustainable economic growth and development in the state.","PeriodicalId":394459,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management Research and Analysis","volume":"7 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139273980","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is followed by an evaluation of vaccine diplomacy as a soft power and what distinguishes it from other forms of soft power. The paper then segues into a comparative analysis on India and China, with comparisons being made across the following metrics: outreach and quantum of vaccines donated, the conditionality of vaccines, diplomatic incentives and limitations faced in donating vaccines.There is no clear winner in the battle. China trumps over India in terms of outreach but India’s outreach donates vaccines while China sells them. The winner might not be clear but the path that India takes now may determine its future. 1. India must inoculate its domestic population. 2. India must revamp its vaccination program with assistance from its Quad allies. 3. India must begin locally albeit with an aim to go global. 4. India should either drastically subsidize all its vaccines or increase the proportion of vaccines donated for free vis a vis those sold commercially. 5. India must attempt to make inroads in countries where the efficacy of China’s vaccines came under question. 6. India must try to take pre-emptive action to begin research on diseases predicted to rise with the insurgence of climate change. As long as a pathogen exists, some one or the other will hold a monopoly on its vaccine and vaccines will continue to be served with a shot of diplomacy.","PeriodicalId":394459,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management Research and Analysis","volume":"43 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139275923","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most craftsmen and craftspeople are striving to preserve the heritage of their family, village, and state, and are living on meager wages merely to keep their skills alive. However, because of poor state of living and inadequate revenue to meet their main needs, a novel population of such people has begun to migrate to urban regions in search of jobs and better living standard. To meet the growing demand for jobs, to increase the employment and lower the migration rate, the Government of India has adopted various initiatives, among which the OVOP (One Village One Product) and ODOP (One District One Product) are in practice. The objective of this research is to study the ODOP scheme, its significance and benefits, and the products covered under it. The study is done on secondary data based on the review and analysis of the existing literature available in various research papers and articles, reports, websites, and other information available on the internet. The results indicate that the ODOP scheme has been a great success in the creation of employment and providing a better income to the rural artisans.","PeriodicalId":394459,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management Research and Analysis","volume":"80 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139274684","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research aims to study the perception of the Indian population towards healthcare services in government hospitals in India. If we talk about the healthcare system in India, it is still far behind the developed countries in terms of facilities. There are not even sufficient doctors that can treat the patients. The lack of doctors is a significant concern, especially in rural areas where doctors are unavailable. Many rural areas also face the issue of a lack of medicine. This study also demonstrates whether the people were satisfied with the healthcare system in India during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study also focuses on understanding the patient's expectation vs services they receive in government hospitals which help to understand the expectations of the respondents from the government hospital. The study also reflects the people's knowledge about government schemes and policies for healthcare.","PeriodicalId":394459,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management Research and Analysis","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139272914","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Small enterprises are not proficient to generate and increase utilization of the affluence of social capital to enhance performance. The underpinning theories for this study were based on Barnes (1954) network theory and resource based theory. Descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. The population for the study was 2332. Taro Yamane’s formula (1967) was used to determine a sample size of 341 from the population. Descriptive statistics were used to determine their frequencies, percentages, mean and standard deviations. Ordered logit regression model was adopted in data analysis and the hypotheses were tested at 0.05 degree of significance using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25. The study found out amongst others that social capital provides information through access to broader sources of information and provides information quality, relevance, and timeliness. Based on the findings, this study recommends amongst others that small enterprises should build social relationships that can provide greater access to tangible and intangible resources that can help promote their businesses. Based on the discussion of the findings and theoretical foundations, this study concludes that network relationship helps enterprise to harness tangible and intangible resources to foster innovation and enhance performance.","PeriodicalId":394459,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Management Research and Analysis","volume":"45 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139271142","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
