The starting point is the thesis that contemporary education at higher levels does not prepare students for the development of critical thinking and does not provide the skills to deal with problematic situations typical of global society. Instead, it approves and implements mechanisms leading to the infantilization of adults, such as: censorship, caution, language medicalization and microaggression. In the text I analyze these dangerous phenomena and indicate the consequences that they bring, not only for the development of the institution itself, but also its autonomy, and above all the students academic growth.","PeriodicalId":393809,"journal":{"name":"Yearbook of Pedagogy","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126788530","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It started with systemic reform of educational system in 1999. The author pays attention to the extent to which such a policy destroys the innovativeness of teachers. The only solution to this situation is the return to the anti-systemic micro-innovation movement in public education due to it restores the sense of dignity and professional self-fulfillment of teachers.","PeriodicalId":393809,"journal":{"name":"Yearbook of Pedagogy","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126327664","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The position of Adam Podgórecki on the subject of comprehensive analyzes of Polish society is particularly important. It combines two positions. He believes that the causes of Polish systemic crises are the experiences of post-totalitarianism and specific Polish defects persisted for several centuries. The author of the article negatively assesses the possibility of overcoming the crisis of public education by academic elites, which are responsible for the collapse of universities and the crisis of higher education. Common beliefs about public education have turned out to be illusions. The author sees the hopes of improving the state of public education in resistance to the destruction of democracy and to the strong ideological and political pressure. Openness to Europe and the world, which Poles do not give away, also gives hope.","PeriodicalId":393809,"journal":{"name":"Yearbook of Pedagogy","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131024491","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is the result of legislation and regulations defining the competences of central and local educational authorities. An example of socialization of education is the formation of educational councils, which are advisory and consultative organ. In the article, the author presents the essence and tasks of educational councils, as well as the activity of exemplary councils functioning at the level of a voivodship, county and commune. The analysis indicates that the process of socialization of Polish education, despite the possibilities guaranteed by law, in practice is rare.","PeriodicalId":393809,"journal":{"name":"Yearbook of Pedagogy","volume":"22 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133482551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
