Official Public Service Announcement on Coronavirus from the World Health Organization (WHO) has led to the improvement of our educational system in the whole wide world and Ghana as a country. In an attempt to contain and control the spread of the virus, the President instituted social distancing protocols and directed the closure of schools on the 16th of March 2020. To ensure the continuity of teaching and learning, the president of the Republic of Ghana directed the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Communication to ensure that they roll out distance and remote learning programmes for all students. The aim of the study was to assess the effects of e-learning on the Colleges of Education Tutors using the Nusrat Jahan Ahmadiyya and Mccoy College of Education as case studies. A total of 100 tutors were recruited for the study. The study found that the time allocated for eLearning is not enough, the nature of accessible programming for students’ learning is not effective and there is no enough demonstration during e-lessons. Also, the study revealed that the course contents are based on the outline provided. The study also revealed that, to solve the challenges, ensuring a friendly user interface will help solve the challenges in e-learning, and tutors may start using e-learning with the assistance of their associates. Also, ICT courses should be made compulsory for tutors to undertake them. The study concludes among others that the time allocated for eLearning is not enough due to the demand of the course outline. The study therefore recommends among others that there is the need for innovative teaching strategies, course design specific to online education, and the development of good online teaching skills by tutors and these are significant components of quality and effective online education.","PeriodicalId":393771,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131299839","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

New media journalism included in the mass media family cannot stand alone without the presence of social media. Therefore, the management of journalism and social media in mass media companies has currently been a given. Without the link between journalism and social media, it is undoubting that the media company is lame, outdated, and on the verge of collapse, because it is abandoned by its readers, audiences and advertisers. The aim of this study is to describe the process of linked journalism in social media in Indonesia, especially in three media groups. Those are Media Group Network, Republika Group, and MNC Group. This study uses qualitative analysis and data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and library study. The results of this study show that the three media groups have differences in managing their journalism and social media. Media Group Network separates all social media under its authority. Republika Group unites all social media under one roof, while MNC Group differentiates in each of its subsidiary groups. This difference has consequences on the number of their followers. Social media under Media Group Network and MNC Group have relatively few followers due to the large number of media subsidiaries under their auspices. On the other hand, the number of the followers of Republika Group is larger because all media subsidiaries are united in one social media platform of Republika Group.","PeriodicalId":393771,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128394369","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Accidents mostly occur on construction sites due to a high level of safety ignorance and the nonchalant attitude of workers and management. The research aimed to investigate the actual behavior of workers at the selected sites regarding safety compliance, nutrition, alcohol use and smoking. This is highly necessary due to the high level of reported accidents and fatalities of the workers. And also recommend measures for improving how safety practices are implemented at a construction site. The interview and questionnaire approach was adopted to study the 150 participants. The data were analysed through SPSS. Research shows that 85% of construction workers are non-compliant with safety regulations because of their ignorance, poor safety training and lack of inspectors It was discovered that the majority of the small-scale contractors had no written health and safety policy within their companies and that made the level of understanding of the workers on safety and health policies very low. This has made the workers not care about wearing safety devices. The study was also extended to include behaviors related to food, alcohol and smoking. It was discovered that most of the workers don’t observe simple hygiene and eat junk meals at the site. They smoke and share cigarettes on the site, not knowing that it was a means of sharing communicable diseases.","PeriodicalId":393771,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120911059","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
