It also covered the validation of the acceptability of the material in terms of contents, clarity and technicality, appeal to the target users together with the validation of its effect in speech presentation. The researchers employed qualitative-quantitative method, particularly, the descriptive-evaluative design and quasi-experimental design. This implored purposive sampling with the aid of triangulation method. Needs analysis showed that the presented contexts (3.51), activities (3.51), lesson contents (3.50), and teacher strategies (3.38) were very useful and important among the learners. Multimedia-Based Oral Communication Worktext was developed in three different formats and was strongly accepted in terms of contents (3.82), clarity and technicality (3.87), and appeal to target users (3.98) with overall rating of 3.89. The computed t-value (1.724) was higher than the tabular t-value (1.645) within 0.05 level of significance and 138 degree of freedom which validated the positive effect of the developed material in Grade 11 students’ speech presentation. As part of continuous progress of Philippine Education and involvement of technology in the teaching-learning process, the research proved its uniqueness in integrating technology and worktext to a comprehensive, responsive, and learner-centered oral communication worktext through Microsoft PowerPoint and is recommended for utilization.\u0000 ","PeriodicalId":393771,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122395350","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pokhrel","doi":"10.54536/ajiri.v1i1.439","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.54536/ajiri.v1i1.439","url":null,"abstract":"Rice is a staple food contributing high calorie intake to humans. In Nepal, rice contributes 39% of GDP, among agricultural crops. Blast disease (Pyricularia grisea Sacc.) has been a continuous threat to rice production. This disease causes 10-20% yield reduction in susceptible varieties, whereas in severe case it causes upto 80%. Excessive nitrogen increases N-metabolism in plant, leading to enhanced tissue susceptibility to blast disease. Farmers’ household survey was carried out in Mangalpur V.D.C. ward no. 1, Chitwan during March, 2013, for determining the knowledge and perception of rice blast incidence and severity, their constraints in rice cultivation and their practices, knowledge on the disease management and amount of fertilization use. Similarly, a field experiment was carried out during June to September, 2013 to assess the impact of different concentrations of nitrogen on rice blast disease (caused by Pyricularia grisea Sacc.) incidence, severity and their effect on yield of Mansuli, Aekle and O.R. varieties of rice. Four treatments (0 kg/ha, 100 kg/ha, 200 kg/ha and 300 kg/ha) were used in RCBD with 3 replications in three different cultivars. In the field experiment, disease incidence and severity varied significantly (P≤0.05) among the treatments. The highest incidence was observed for higher concentration of nitrogen of Mansuli variety (42.22%) and lowest in no concentration of nitrogen of Aekle variety (25.56%) on 69 days after transplantation. Maximum disease severity was also recorded on Mansuli rice variety in highest concentration of nitrogen (53.43%) and minimum in Aekle variety in no concentration of nitrogen (24.32%) at September 9, 2013. Significantly highest yield (5.217 t/ha), number of grains per panicle (182.3) and 1000 grains weight (32.45 gm) were also obtained at no concentration of nitrogen. Among three varieties, Mansuli was the susceptible variety and Aekle was resistance variety.","PeriodicalId":393771,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131119731","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of such scars is already being felt – a surge of refugee influx into neighbouring countries with mounting humanitarian needs. As the world continue recovering from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the war will make the recovery process more complicated. While geopolitical relations are threatened, the global economy is also affected – prices of commodities have gone high. The livelihood is endangered and many other services such as education and healthcare have been heavily impacted. Many countries are realigning their financial policies to meet economic uncertainties. Support for the most vulnerable that includes refugees is likely to be threatened. Amidist these challenges, refugees, particularly those in low-income countries, Africa inclusive, are left in peril. With that in mind, this paper aimed at analysing the relational consequence of the Russia-Ukraine war on sustainable livelihoods of refugees in Africa. Secondary qualitative data was obtained through the exploration of relevant literature, reports, articles, and news. While imploring “social solidary theory” of Émile Durkhein (1858-1917) and the African Solidarity perspective of “ubuntu”, the paper argues for a “re-envisioned collaboration” among African states in the context of global crises vis-à-vis the plight of refugees in Africa.","PeriodicalId":393771,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"95 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121376983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Kimberly","doi":"10.54536/ajiri.v1i1.346","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.54536/ajiri.v1i1.346","url":null,"abstract":"The study was supervised to determine and assess the ecological health of Caraga State University in Ampayon, Butuan City by looking into the level of fluctuating asymmetry in populations and affected landmarks of Rhinella marina. Various studies have shown that fluctuating asymmetry can be used to indirectly assess water quality as well as the overall health of the ecosystem. In this study, R. marina was utilized because of its abundance in Caraga State University. Hence, with the presence and use of the thin-plate spline (TPS) series, landmark analysis was obtained and subjected to Symmetry and Asymmetry in Geometric Data (SAGE) software. Wherein, the findings in Procrustes ANOVA showed that although individual symmetry delineate no significant difference, Sides (Directional Asymmetry) and Interaction (Fluctuating asymmetry) showed a highly significant difference (P = 0.0000***). Furthermore, the results of Principal Component Scores display a high percentage Fluctuating Asymmetry of pooled (79.964%). Thus, in the results, PC 1 (40.589%), PC2 (18.8634%), PC3 (12.7566%), and PC4 (7.755%), the interaction was explicitly found to have significant variations affecting the R. marina parotid gland, landmarks of the loreal crest, and supra-tympanic edge of the cane toad. A significant proportion of the variation in head shape can be explained by environmental variables, suggesting that conditions of the physical environment should also be considered as a source of morphological variation. To conclude, this study authenticated the use of fluctuating asymmetry in determining and assessing the status of the ecological health of the study area confirming that indeed results of high FA equates for the incidence of cane toads in the area.","PeriodicalId":393771,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"92 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124568484","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The respondents of this study are students of CCA, of any year level, and any gender. The Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) questionnaire was used to gauge the level of anxiety that the respondents were enduring, and two more questions were used to determine the source of their anxiety and their coping mechanisms. The questions used to determine the source of their anxiety and their coping mechanisms had undergone pilot testing on non-CCA students, confirming the instrument's validity for use in this study. After the data had been gathered and processed, the results showed that personal and academic problems were among the top cause of their anxiety and that music positively impacted said anxiety, especially listening to music. Most respondents answered that listening to music was their preferred method of alleviating their anxieties. From the results obtained, it is recommended that the administration use this information to create an environment in school that would help students with anxiety perform better academically. Further investigation is also recommended to find better ways to utilize music to alleviate anxiety.","PeriodicalId":393771,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"110 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124703530","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
