Although the extant literature is replete with studies on educational digital assessments, it seems that, so far, no systematic review study has focused on re-examining the accessibility, credibility, and accountability of digital assessments in the pre-and post-COVID-19 period. The growing ubiquity of digital assessments in academic and professional contexts, especially in the post-COVID-19 era, makes it necessary to conduct this systematic review. The main finding of this study is that, despite the growing ubiquity of digital assessments post the COVID-19 crisis, digital assessments seem to be deficient in employing assistive technologies. Additionally,the sudden migration to digital assessments pose challenges of maintaining the same standards of validity and reliability commensurate with traditional in-person assessments Therefore, going forward, we recommend extensive integration of assistive technologies in academic and professional digital assessments to enhance accessibility. Additionally, digital assessing authorities should also establish mechanisms for detecting cheating and plagiarism in digital assessments. This study underscores the overarching need for holistic approaches that balance technological innovation with ethical imperatives in digital assessments. This study contributes to the 21st-century understanding of the complex dynamic digital assessment landscapes.","PeriodicalId":393771,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"5 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-08-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141927806","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This descriptive correlation study had 30 purposively selected teacher respondents who answered the researcher-made survey questionnaire containing ten indicators for the teaching approaches used and the ten challenges encountered. The data gathered were treated using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings revealed that the respondents’ perceptions of their teaching approaches in managing the mainstream classroom in terms of: managing teacher-student interaction were generally positive opinion of the teaching methodologies used to manage teacher-student interaction; classroom conduct and demeanor was diverse; fostering logical development was favorable tendency towards it; and there was a general alignment with constructivist teaching methods but emphasizing opportunities for improvement. The respondents’ perception of the challenges encountered in fulfilling their role in an inclusive education setting highlighted the need for better teacher preparation, curricular adaptation, and inclusive and collaborative education. Targeted professional development, curriculum reform, and stronger parent partnerships could improve inclusive education and help all students succeed academically and socially. There was no significant relationship between teacher-student interactions and fostering logical development, and challenges experienced by the teachers. There was a significant relationship between the classroom conduct and demeanor, implementing a constructivist teaching approach and the challenges experienced by the teachers. It is recommended that educational institutions and policymakers should prioritize inclusive education teacher competency through focused professional development and collaboration among all stakeholders.","PeriodicalId":393771,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"67 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141116689","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed to evaluate low dose, long duration Clarithromycin’s efficacy in managing PPND symptoms, addressing the limitations of existing therapies. A prospective, randomized, controlled trial was conducted with 50 participants (18-65 years) diagnosed with PPND but without sinus pathology (proved by sinus clear CT Paranasal sinus scans). They received either Clarithromycin (250 mg daily) or a placebo for 12 weeks. Validated assessment tools, such as the nasal symptom score (NSS), visual analog scale (VAS), and Sino-nasal outcome test-22 (SNOT-22), measured treatment outcomes. Current therapies addressing associated symptoms exhibit limited efficacy, prompting the need for novel treatment strategies. The study revealed a significant improvement in PPND symptoms with low-dose, long-duration Clarithromycin treatment. Participants exhibited reduced throat-clearing frequency, cough episodes, and subjective mucus sensation. Objective assessments showed enhanced nasal pathology and mucociliary clearance post-treatment. Low-dose, long-duration Clarithromycin treatment demonstrated promising efficacy in ameliorating PPND symptoms and improving quality of life without sinus involvement. These findings emphasize the potential therapeutic role of macrolides in addressing PPND’s underlying pathophysiology. Further research, including larger trials, is essential to validate these outcomes and establish effective clinical guidelines for managing PPND.","PeriodicalId":393771,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"13 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140373150","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study employed a descriptive survey of questionnaires formulated for both teachers and students. Two Form 2 classes from various two Wa Municipality schools were chosen for the study using convenient, purposeful, and straightforward random sampling techniques. To conduct the study, two research questions were used. The sample size was composed of 164 students and 32 mathematics teachers from 2 schools in Wa Municipality in the Upper West Region. The theory that influenced the study was Piaget’s cognitive constructivism. The main purpose of the study was to ascertain the impact of incorporating other teaching or learning strategies with the guided discovery-based instruction to aid students’ conceptual understanding leading to achievement in circle theorems. The study’s findings indicated that teacher-related challenges recorded a mean of 1.66 as well as students’ own personal problems recorded a mean of 1.71, the encounter with teaching and learning of circle theorems had a low effect rate of 1.71 on their understanding of circle theorems. The results of the study’s findings suggested that teachers’ implementation of a variety of other appropriate learner-centered teaching strategies recorded a mean of 1.68 as well and learner-centered teaching resources or teaching aids recorded a mean of 1.77, have a low effect rate on students’ understanding of circle theorems when they are incorporated with guided discovery method in the classroom. To enhance the performance of SHS students, it will be most advantageous to introduce guided discovery teaching methods to pre-and in-service teachers, through promotion by Ghana Education Service and/or other stakeholders in the education sector, this introduction may be distributed through workshops and seminars. Math teachers’ instructional techniques and skills will improve as a result.","PeriodicalId":393771,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"8 3-4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140490077","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Set in a near-future Los Angeles, the film follows Theodore (Joaquin Phoenix), a lonely man who forms a relationship with his AI operating system, Samantha (Scarlett Johansson). Their unconventional bond, characterized by emotional openness and vulnerability, underscores shifting paradigms of masculinity in an increasingly digital world. Through close analysis of Theodore’s personality, emotional struggles, and interactions with Samantha, this paper argues that the film paints a nuanced portrait of contemporary masculinity. Theodore’s willingness to be emotionally vulnerable with an AI companion reflects a departure from the conventional masculine ideal of stoicism. His dependence on Samantha for emotional support also challenges the norm of male independence and self-sufficiency. Furthermore, Samantha’s influence disrupts Theodore’s understanding of intimacy and relationships, emphasizing fluidity over rigid norms. Ultimately, Theodore’s journey suggests a redefined conceptualization of masculinity –adaptive, emotionally expressive, and receptive to meaningful connections in unexpected places. Situated at the intersection of film studies, gender studies and technology, this paper illuminates how Her insightfully portrays the complex renegotiation of masculinity in an increasingly digitized and AI-integrated world.","PeriodicalId":393771,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"44 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140489072","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore in this study, the evaluation of a constant termed mass index (B- Value) for mass-size reduction operations was carried out on cereals such as corn, wheat, sorghum, and millet that find various applications in food industries. Equations 17 and 18b were employed to evaluate mass indexes using the principles of static impact force. Relative errors (RE) of mass indexes obtained from these two equations were assessed. Results revealed that Equation 17 or 18b could be used to evaluate the mass indexes. More so, for each selected cereal the mass index was observed to vary slightly with moisture content %wb. Hence, the average mass index per cereal type per moisture content range may be used in Orua Antia’s energy Equations 5 to 9 to predict the minimum energy and power requirements of the selected cereal when subjected to mass-size reduction operations. The average mass-indexes obtained were 20.9915± 0.4198; 27.6679± 0.6506; 24.9379±20.5454 and 24.523±3.7571Kg(1⁄2) m2s-2for corn, wheat, sorghum, and millet respectively.","PeriodicalId":393771,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123428138","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
