It is concluded that, although the prefabricated system does not comply with all the current requirements of earthquake resistant design and present significant irregularities in plan and elevation, the building analyzed according to the formulations in the codes used, can retain rigidity in the face of seismic action. A comparison between the building according to the original project and the current variant corroborates that the greatest changes are observed in the fundamental periods. In this study, the behaviour of hot asphalt mixtures containing copper slag from abandoned landfill in northern Chile, as a partial substitute for coarse aggregate was evaluated. For the design and control of bituminous pavement mixtures, the Marshall method was used. The parameters evaluated were density, % air voids in the mixture, % voids in the mineral aggregate, creep and stability. In addition, asphalt mixtures containing 4.5 to 6.0% were evaluated with increments of 0.5% asphalt for four types of mixtures with partial substitution of conventional aggregates by copper slag (0, 30, 50 and 70%, by weight). In conclusion, it can be pointed out that the mixture with 5% asphalt and 30% copper slag in replacement of the aggregate is the most suitable mixture and could be used in the design of asphalt mixtures for pavements. El objetivo principal es la gestión de información para la prevención de errores y correcta ejecución del proyecto. El presente documento propone una estrategia para la implementación de la metodología BIM en 5D, incluyendo un modelo 3D, tiempo y costo, en una empresa de construcción industrial, específicamente en las obras civiles. Dicha estrategia fue diseñada en base al proyecto Planta de Oxígeno, de modo de establecer los pasos de la metodología. Aleixo","doi":"10.4067/s0718-28132021000200016","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.4067/s0718-28132021000200016","url":null,"abstract":"A simple and low-cost experimental procedure to compare the mixing and transport of two substances in water is presented in this paper, aiming to investigate if rhodamine can predict the fate of coal transport in water. The procedure is based on acoustic Doppler techniques to characterize the flow and imaging techniques to measure the transport of substances discharged from an instantaneous point source near the free surface. To validate this procedure, several tests are carried out for rhodamine and two subsamples of coal (defined by a fine and coarse granulometry) in a flume under currents. The results show that the mixing of rhodamine resembles the finest fraction of coal that is transported as a suspended material, but fails to characterize the larger coal grains that experience sedimentation. An example of this is the structural slabs with complex shapes, widely used in contemporary architectural proposal. This work has the objective of presenting the structural conception, computational modelling, analysis and structural design of the curve roof slab of the Convention Center of a hotel located in Havana. ETABS v17 software was used. The analysis includes the calculation of reinforcement based on the Strength Limit and the verification of Serviceability in terms of deflections and cracking by ACI-318 (2019) and NC-207 (2019).
