A healthcare professional with a good understanding of the law and the proper procedures for documenting and preserving records will be better equipped to protect themselves and their patients in the event of a legal dispute. A positive attitude towards medico-legal records will also help to ensure that they are handled in a timely and accurate manner. The study aims to assess the knowledge and attitude towards handling medical-legal records among nurses. A cross-sectional study was conducted with 150 nurses from various government hospitals in South India. Convenient sampling was used to select the participants. A sociodemographic scale, knowledge questionnaires, and a Likert scale were used to collect data. Data was coded in Excel and analyzed using IBM SPSS version 26. The results of the study indicate that a significant portion of the nurses had average knowledge (64%) and a considerable number had poor knowledge (36%) regarding the handling of medical-legal records. None of the participants showed a good level of knowledge. In terms of attitude, 68% of the nurses displayed a moderate attitude, 26% had a low attitude, and only 6% exhibited a high level of attitude towards the subject. The study found that nurses had average knowledge and moderate attitude towards handling medico-legal records. However, there were gaps in knowledge and low attitude, which highlights the need for interventions and educational programs.","PeriodicalId":391212,"journal":{"name":"IP Journal of Paediatrics and Nursing Science","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129762751","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The identical task can be completed with artificial intelligence more cheaply and effectively. Any artificial system that can carry out activities under a variety of uncertain conditions with little to no human supervision or that can gain knowledge from experience and perform better when given data sets. Nursing practice is geared towards assisting clients in achieving and maintaining optimal health in order to optimise their quality of life over the course of their lifetime however Artificial intelligence benefits nursing practice in : enhancing medical and nursing diagnostics; accelerating drug discoveries and Administration and many more. To look at the coping mechanisms nursing students use to deal with the stress of their studies and clinicals. High levels of stress can have negative effects on learning, coping, academic performance, and retention in nursing students as well as memory, focus, and problem-solving skills. There have been no studies explicitly involving nursing students, but college students with higher levels of learnt resourcefulness tend to be more motivated, self-assured, and academically persistent.At a chosen health science university in Mangalore, 320 undergraduate students participated in a descriptive-correlative study. Utilizing disproportionate stratified sampling approaches, the samples were chosen. Researcher used various tool such as time management questionnaire, Student Nurse Stress Index and self-prepared tool for academic performance. The mean post-test stress score (65.79±8.79) ranging from 31 to 86 was lower than the mean pre-test stress score (70.77±9.01) ranging from 36 to 95. The mean time management during post-test (110.88±15.08) was higher than that of pre-test (98.14±11.46). The mean stress score during post-test (65.79 ± 8.79) was lower than that of pre-test (70.75±9.02). The mean academic performance score during post-test (26.52±4.84) was higher than that of pre-test (22.79±3.90). Majority of samples (71.6%) were having good level of time management followed by 27.5% having average and 0.9% having excellent time management score during pre-test. Where as in post-test, most of the samples had (83.8%) good time management score followed by 8.8 % having excellent and 7.5 % having average The results also showed that 65.6% were having moderate level of stress followed by 31.9% having high and 2.5 % having low stress level, where as in post-test, most of the samples had (81.9%) moderate stress score followed by 13.1 % having high and 5% having low stress score. The data regarding academic performance states that 73.4% were having average academic performance score followed by 24.7 % having poor and 1.9% having good academic performance. Where as in post-test, majority of the samples had (64.1%) average academic performance score followed by 23.4 % having good and 12.5 % having poor academic performance score.This study reveals that the stress load is directly related to poor academic performances and a good strategy adaptation will definitely bring a fruitful result in nursing students for their carrier development.","PeriodicalId":391212,"journal":{"name":"IP Journal of Paediatrics and Nursing Science","volume":"2010 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114027426","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the effects of this pandemic on individual’s mental health and behavior have not been studied in detail and are still not known. Efforts are being made to focus on understanding the clinical features, routes of transmission, epidemiology, and management of the COVID‐19 outbreak, there has been very little concern expressed over the effects on one's mental health and on strategies to prevent stress. The aim of this study was to assess the post traumatic stress disorder symptoms among the care takers of COVID-19 patients and care takers of non COVID-19 patients and compare the results to explore the impact of COVID-19 on the mental health of the population associated with the COVID-19 patients. This may help in future in early detecting the post traumatic stress disorder associated with covid-19 or any other pandemic and may help in taking early measures to avoid it and improve the mental health of general population. The study finding revealed that among care takers of covid-19 patients majority of study subjects (93.3%) had complicated PTSD, (6.7%) had Diagnostic PTSD and none of the subjects had Partial PTSD whereas, among care takers of non covid-19 patients majority of study subjects (36.7%) had Partial PTSD, (26.7%) had complicated PTSD, (23.3%) had no PTSD and (13.3%) had diagnostic PTSD. This indicates that the covid-19 had more psychological impact on the care takers than any other life threatening disease. This may be due to fast dissemination of covid-19, more deaths attributed to the pandemic and care takers concern for his/her health. The study concluded that the covid-19 had more psychological impact on the care takers than any other disease conditions. So there is need to improve the strategies to reduce the risk of developing PTSD symptoms in this group of population.","PeriodicalId":391212,"journal":{"name":"IP Journal of Paediatrics and Nursing Science","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115472927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has been a known fact that Vitamin D deficiency from birth to early childhood is linked to a higher risk of elevated systolic blood pressure during childhood and adolescence.: This study employed a quasi-experimental research design which took a purposive sample of 300 hypertensive adolescents who were formally diagnosed as Vitamin D deficient and attended follow-up consultations in an out-patient paediatric clinic in Banha University Hospital in Benha City, Egypt.Several factors such as the respondents’ socio-economic data and family history of chronic disease were taken into consideration when the study was done. The subjects’ healthy lifestyle practices were also assessed both before and after they had been through the healthy lifestyle program. It also monitored the subjects’ blood pressure and their intake of vitamin D before, during and after the course of the program. The study’s subjects were asked to fill out a questionnaire before and after the program to evaluate their knowledge regarding hypertension and vitamin D deficiency. An observation checklist was used before and after the program to evaluate the subjects’ practices when taking blood pressure measurements. The study showed that 72 percent of adolescents had a family history of hypertension. It also showed that female subjects exhibited a remarkable improvement in terms of their healthy lifestyle knowledge and practices after going through the healthy lifestyle program when compared to their male counterparts. The study showed a statistically significant relationship between the adolescents’ healthy lifestyle and their socio-demographic characteristics such as their gender being female aged between 14-18 years old with secondary education and having appropriate economic status and healthy house conditions.The study also showed that among the male adolescent subjects, 94 percent were physically active, 60 percent were aged between 11-14 years and 55.7 percent had non-appropriate economic status. : The study concluded that the healthy lifestyle program was effective in changing the healthy lifestyle knowledge and practices of the adolescent subjects which in turn enabled them to manage their hypertensive condition and overcome their vitamin D deficiency.","PeriodicalId":391212,"journal":{"name":"IP Journal of Paediatrics and Nursing Science","volume":"73 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120883844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is characterized by widespread impairment of mental functioning, progressive memory loss, language difficulties, confusion and disorientation. These impairments are often accompanied by behavioral and psychological disturbance. The behavioral disturbances associated with dementia are defined as symptoms of disturbed perception, altered thought content, mood and Behavior. A pre-experimental research design with one group pre-test and post-test design was adopted. Sixty samples of geriatric care givers were selected from Chhatauna and Mandir Hausad, Arrang, Raipur, (C.G.). Samples were using by convenient sampling technique. A self structured knowledge questionnaire was prepared as a tool to assess socio demographic variables, and knowledge of geriatric care givers regarding management of dementia. Collected data was analyzed using paired „ z‟- test and chi-square test. : In the pretest 38 (63.33%) are having poor knowledge,22 (36.66%) are having Average knowledge and no one had good Knowledge. After administration of structured teaching programmein the post test level of knowledge has improved in 34 (56.66%) are having average Knowledge and26 (43.33%) are having good knowledge and no one had poor knowledge. Hence it can be interpreted that in the pretest majority of the geriatric care giver were in the poor category and after structured teaching programme the geriatric care giver gained adequate knowledge regarding management of dementia of the subject were in the good category. In the pre test the calculated mean is 9 the mean score 30% the standard deviation is 3.86 and in the post test the calculated mean is 20.5, the mean score 66.83% and the standard deviation is 5.27, hence it can be interpreted that there is a striking difference between the mean pretest and post test knowledge score of geriatric care giver which explains that the structured teaching programme was effective in enhancing the knowledge score regarding management of dementia among geriatric care givers in selected area of Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Hence, it can conclude that the structured teaching programme was highly effective. And they gain knowledge i.e 36.83% using„ z‟ test it was found that at 0.05 level of significance the table value is 2.00 and the calculated value is 7.81(p>0.05) which shows that the calculated value is higher than the table value, so the test was highly Significant at 0.05 level. Research hypothesis (H) was accepted. Findings of the study indicates significant difference in the knowledge level after administration of Structured teaching Prgramme regarding Management of Dementia among Geriatric care Givers in Selected Area of Raipur, Chhattisgarh.","PeriodicalId":391212,"journal":{"name":"IP Journal of Paediatrics and Nursing Science","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130602353","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
