The objective of the literature review was to appraise the effectiveness of maternal-directed interventions of preterm newborns on strengthening mother-newborn interaction in NICU, identify which tools are most frequently used, and report on outcomes of strengthening mother-newborn interaction in NICU.We conducted a PRISMA-compliant Meticulous search for articles indexed in the databasesPubMed, Psyc INFO, Web of Science, and CINAHL using disparate combinations of keywords comprising “maternal directed interventions’’ AND “preterm newborn’’ OR “strengthening’’ AND “mother- newborn interaction” were used to review in the databases. Five empirical studies were identified, massage including Auditory, Tactile, Visual, and Vestibular was linked to a faster symptom reduction of depression, ATVV have significant implications for mom and their premature babies, especially during the initial six months of life. At day 14 (=45.66, p<0.01), there were noticeable differences between groups as the suction pressure rose linearly over time. The mean weight, height, and head circumference of preterm babies who received the 2-week massage intervention were higher (F=41.151, 6.621, and 24.158, respectively; p<0.001). Breastfeeding habits among mothers of preterm infants are improved by the kangaroo mother's nursing on the infant's growth, neurological development, and reduction of morbidities related to preterm infants. Maternal interventions support infants from birth through early life to improve infant health, develop newly acquired abilities, reduce developmental issues, promote adaptive parenting and strengthen the mother-newborn bond.","PeriodicalId":391212,"journal":{"name":"IP Journal of Paediatrics and Nursing Science","volume":"137 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139177548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Innovations depends on the teacher that how they utilizes the instructional strategies while delivering lectures or teaching in clinical.A Non experimental cross sectional descriptive research design was adopted with 73 nursing faculties from entire India. Sampling technique was Non probability convenience sampling. A self-structured socio-demographic tool consisting of 10 questions, a self-structured rating scale on consisting of 14 items and a Self- Structured Likert scale on consisting of 10 items was developed to collect the data. Data was collected by creating Google form in an online mode.Data was analyzed by using both descriptive and inferential statistics. 64.4% had highly satisfactory perception and 35.6% had satisfactory perception. 82.2% had a positive attitude. The calculated Karl Pearson’s Correlation value of r=0.235 shows a positive correlation. It was observed that exposure to any training program on simulation had statistically significant association with level of perception. Also qualification of the teacher and teaching methods whatever they have been using and place of residence had statistically significant association with level of perception. With effective knowledge regarding online teaching and learning strategies, future nurses can be trained regarding the innovative methods which will be fruitful and beneficial for the development and widespread in the field of nursing education.","PeriodicalId":391212,"journal":{"name":"IP Journal of Paediatrics and Nursing Science","volume":"219 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139178904","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

If there would be no women, the human race is surely going to end. Women deserves more care and attention especially during the reproductive phase. Menstruation is a unique phenomenon of females of reproductive age group. Cultural, religious and traditional beliefs can lead to different restrictions that women face during their menstrual period. Menstrual cup is a device for menstrual flow management and is claimed to be a healthy and environmentally friendly alternative to the conventional menstrual sanitary protections.Even though menstrual cup is highly efficient it requires fair amount of self-confidence and assurance to insert into one’s own body. And the prevailing myths on breakage of hymen make the confusion of adolescents even worse. This study was aimed at assessing knowledge and attitude towards menstrual cup usage among adolescent girls. Descriptive survey design was used. A total of 100 adolescent girls were selected using convenient quota sampling methods. Data was collected using structured knowledge questionnaire to assess knowledge and an attitude rating scale to assess attitude towards menstrual cup usage. The study results revealed that 50 % students had good knowledge, 35 % students had satisfactory knowledge, 8 % students had excellent knowledge, 6 % students had poor knowledge and one percent students had very poor knowledge about menstrual cup usage. Majority (81%) had a positive attitude towards menstrual cup usage, 19% had neutral attitude and none had negative attitude. Hence majority of the subjects had a good attitude towards menstrual cup usage. There was no relation between knowledge and attitude of adolescent girls towards menstrual cup usage. Women have lots of concerns about managing menstrual flow. Fear of spotting, stains, squishy, messy, smelling and annoying nature of sanitary pads is still a major dilemma. Other alternative measure to sanitary napkins is menstrual cup. Adolescent girls achieve their knowledge on menstrual cup through the social media.In a developing world, menstrual management is not only difficult but also may have serious adverse impact on the lives of women. Even when taboos are not a major problem, convenient or inexpensive menstrual collection materials are not available. Efforts to produce inexpensive materials are solely lacking. Women use clothes, absorbent pads or tampons to manage menstrual flow. Washing the clothes or disposing the pads hygienically is a challenge for most of the females. By interacting with other teens, investigators understood that women have lots of concerns about using sanitary pads. Other alternative measure to sanitary napkins is menstrual cup but females require self-confidence and assurance to insert it to one’s own body.","PeriodicalId":391212,"journal":{"name":"IP Journal of Paediatrics and Nursing Science","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129495878","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
