The method is based on results of measuring the frequency characteristics of reflection and transmission coefficients of the section of a rectangular waveguide with the membrane which completely fills its cross section. The homogeneous metallic plate of finite thickness and two-layered metal-dielectric film are studied as two types of the membrane. For these cases the formulas for direct analytical estimation of the impedance of the membrane medium are obtained. The numerical simulations for the cases of bismuth and two-layered membranes at 10 GHz are considered.","PeriodicalId":389689,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 15th International Conference on Advanced Trends in Radioelectronics, Telecommunications and Computer Engineering (TCSET)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133700978","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most of the up-to-day research of adaptation methods in antenna arrays has been done on assumption that interfering signals are best described as stationary noise processes with Gaussian probability distribution. While that might be true for radar applications, interfering signals in mobile telecommunications are of the different nature. They are less random and this limited randomness varies depending on the modulation and multiplexing method. Previously, the novel gradient adaptation method developed by the authors was tested and shown to exhibit very promising behavior in only Gaussian noise environment. To assess its suitability for telecommunications, the algorithm was tested in the setting whereby interfering signals are presented as those with the typical mobile modulations, namely BPSK, QPSK and 8PSK. Contrary to the assumption that more regular structure of these signals can lead to some inter-signal correlation with accompanying performance degradation, it is shown that the designed algorithm behaves well and secures required performance expectations. Computer simulation of adaptive antenna arrays based on the algorithm using signals with BPSK, QPSK and 8PSK was carried out. It confirms high performance of the gradient algorithm in those situations and presents it as a good choice for mobile applications.","PeriodicalId":389689,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE 15th International Conference on Advanced Trends in Radioelectronics, Telecommunications and Computer Engineering (TCSET)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133790656","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Installed ability to upgrade specified funds through the use of convolutional neural networks of AlexNet type, which makes it necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of such use. It was also determined that it is possible to evaluate the efficiency of using the neural network model experimentally with using indicators of recognition accuracy and duration of training. A software implementation of AlexNet was developed, and a training sample was formed, consisting of 1005 examples of the parameters of the dynamics of keyboard handwriting for 10 users. As parameters characterizing of the dynamics of keyboard handwriting has been used holding time and the time between successive pressing of two keys. Using computer experiments, it was found that in a fairly limited training sample at 50 training epochs, AlexNet allows achieving user recognition accuracy of over 80%, which is comparable to the results of the best modern systems of similar purpose and confirms the possibility of effective use of this type of network for analyzing the dynamics of keyboard handwriting.
