Ante este reto, los posgrados en educación constituyen un ámbito de gran relevancia donde poner en valor una perspectiva interdisciplinar, en especial relacionando el enfoque intercultural y las tecnologías educativas. El presente estudio analiza 18 programas de posgrado en Ecuador con el fin de visibilizar en qué medida responden a este planteamiento. La investigación, de corte cualitativa, por un lado, selecciona los posgrados avalados por el órgano rector de la educación superior en el país y en vigencia. Y por otro, acude al análisis documental para revisar presupuestos teóricos en contraste con los diseños de la oferta seleccionada. Los resultados sugieren que en su mayoría la oferta de posgrados integra elementos para promover un diálogo de respeto, equidad y justicia social, en lo que podríamos considerar un cambio de paradigma. A pesar de ello, los resultados también visibilizan vacíos curriculares, que convierten lo intercultural y lo digital en meros elementos discursivos en lugar de componentes emergentes y transversales para la educación.","PeriodicalId":38551,"journal":{"name":"Bellaterra Journal of Teaching and Learning Language and Literature","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47292134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

En esta edición especial se presentan seis contribuciones que aportan al debate sobre los retos de la alfabetización mediática en el siglo XXI mediante el estudio de fenómenos y aspectos en los cuales el uso de las TIC y los medios digitales convergen con la necesidad de ofrecer propuestas educativas que respondan a las exigencias formativas de la ciudadanía. Los autores otorgan miradas profundas sobre cuestiones como el acceso a la educación y la tecnología, la interacción lúdica en la educación, la motivación de los educandos en su participación, y la materialización de estas reflexiones en propuestas educativas de cuarto nivel.","PeriodicalId":38551,"journal":{"name":"Bellaterra Journal of Teaching and Learning Language and Literature","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41508537","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article presents the results of an investigation situated at the crossroads between Education, Communication and Visual Design, carried out from a qualitative analysis of interpretive position. Starting from a case study based on virtual ethnography, the research is based on in-depth interviews, from which successively organized data were obtained from the emerging categories of the research itself (uses, skills, preferences and relationships). The conclusions suggest the need for a system of its own for on line education –that exceeds comparisons–, in which the assemblages disclosed here were considered and particular resources proposed that promote the participants learning.\u0000 \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":38551,"journal":{"name":"Bellaterra Journal of Teaching and Learning Language and Literature","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47168568","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

La presente investigación aborda un caso de estudio, cuyo objetivo es conocer e identificar las características que inciden en la motivación de los participantes de las vídeo-lecciones que conforman tres cursos ofertados en las plataformas MiríadaX, Edx y ECO: E-learning, Communication y Open-Data”. El criterio de selección de estas plataformas se basó en su popularidad, relevancia en el contexto actual y enfoque en la estrategia de promoción de contenidos en el entorno digital. Se concluye que el diseño y las características analizadas de los MOOC inciden en el nivel de engagement de los participantes. En los casos presentados, asimismo, el diseño tradicional educativo de clases virtuales manifiesta carencias de elementos alternativos de gamificación, networking, lo que podría generar un bajo nivel de interés y compromiso por parte de los participantes.","PeriodicalId":38551,"journal":{"name":"Bellaterra Journal of Teaching and Learning Language and Literature","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42528256","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Digital media and global processes have a decisive influence on people’s daily lives. However, digital literacy programs rarely go beyond teaching technological skills. Similarly, critical thinking approaches to education focus on developing cognitive skills, omitting the weight of values and emotions in decision making. This research analyses Spanish secondary school students’ narratives and reflections about two publications on Twitter that present biased information to encourage undemocratic attitudes. The results show that most students are far from being critical of the information they read on the internet, and they easily fall into the trap of defending undemocratic discourses.","PeriodicalId":38551,"journal":{"name":"Bellaterra Journal of Teaching and Learning Language and Literature","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48147443","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this article, we analyze the curriculum of human and social sciences in secondary education in Brazil from the Brazilian Learning Standards, and how that document reflects the rise of these conservative movements. On the one hand, it was observed that important categories for the social sciences, such as gender, were removed, thus removing the centrality of categories such as racism and social inequalities; on the other hand, there is a strong dispute over the meanings of other concepts, such as human rights. Both actions converge to fine-tune the human and social sciences curriculum with the guidelines of conservative movements in the educational field.","PeriodicalId":38551,"journal":{"name":"Bellaterra Journal of Teaching and Learning Language and Literature","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42176798","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
