However, several studies have shown different results that can lead to different interpretations. This study aims to estimate dan examine the effectiveness of STEM on students' mathematical creative thinking ability from the relevant studies. This study analyzed 12 primary studies from various electronic search engines within the year of publication from 2017 to 2022. All primary studies in this research were analyzed using the meta-analysis with Comprehensive Meta-Analysis 3.0 (CMA 3.0) software by selecting the formula of Hedge to determine its effect size. The results of this meta-analysis study indicated that the STEM approach was effective for students' mathematical creative thinking abilities with an effect size of 0,935 in the category of high effect. There were differences in the effect size of the STEM approach on students' mathematical creative thinking abilities regarding STEM integration with learning models and educational levels. This means that the type of integration of the STEM approach with the learning model and educational level significantly causes heterogeneity in students' mathematical creative thinking abilities. The results of this study are expected to provide educators with an overview of how STEM can be applied in mathematics learning, especially in improving mathematical creative thinking ability.","PeriodicalId":385020,"journal":{"name":"Al-Jabar : Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127029986","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mathematics is taught by conveying formulas practically without linking them to students' daily activities. For this reason, this study aims to design a reflection learning trajectory in the context of the Lipa Sabbe Bunga Caramming motif as a starting point in learning to help students understand reflection material for solving everyday problems. The method used in this study is design research, which consists of three stages: preliminary design, design trials, and retrospective analysis. The subjects of this study were 23 students in class VIII-A of SMP Negeri 1 Tanasitolo. The instruments used in this study were student activity sheets (LAS), learning achievement tests, and interview guidelines. Student activity data during learning were analyzed retrospectively, and learning outcomes data were analyzed descriptively. The results of this study found that the learning trajectory of transformation geometry using the context of the lipa sabbe bunga caramming motif has four learning stages: (1) informal; (2) modes of; (3) modes of; and (4) formal. The learning stages can easily increase students' understanding of the concept of reflection. In the learning process, mathematical concepts are connected with daily habits, so students are enthusiastic and active in the learning process. This learning trajectory can assist teachers in optimizing learning so that students can easily understand the concept of reflection, equip them with critical thinking skills, and shape their character (cooperation, empathy, respect for others, awareness of social problems, a social spirit, and responsibility).","PeriodicalId":385020,"journal":{"name":"Al-Jabar : Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika","volume":"150 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132899431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this study was to describe the mathematical representation abilities of junior high school students on the concept of congruence in terms of learning styles. The subjects of this study were 35 grade VIII junior high school students using a random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using mathematical representation ability tests, learning style questionnaires, and interviews. After that, it was analyzed using triangulation techniques to determine the validity of the data. The results showed that on average, students have very good visual representation abilities with auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learning styles because all students can solve questions correctly according to the indicators. Students who have the ability to represent good expressions or equations have a visual learning style. Whereas students with word representation abilities cannot be said to be good because of the existing subjects, there are no students with any learning style who can solve word representation ability questions correctly. Based on this, it can be concluded that the low representation ability of students is not influenced by their learning styles, both visual, auditory, and kinesthetic, especially in the concept of congruence.","PeriodicalId":385020,"journal":{"name":"Al-Jabar : Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika","volume":"125 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115402597","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The factor of school geographical location is predicted to affect the skill distinction of the students. This study aims to investigate and examine the school's geographical location assumed as a moderating factor of students' heterogeneous MCTS in PBL. Meta-analysis of 58 relevant documents containing 3,946 students and generating 59 effect sizes in the Hedges g unit was performed to conduct this study. Searching and selecting literature found 58 documents published from 2011 to 2021, consisting of 40 journal articles and 18 conference papers. Some tests, such as Q Cochrane and Z, were applied to analyze the data. The results showed that the school's geographical location was not a significant moderating factor that affected students' heterogeneous MCTS in PBL. In addition, PBL intervention significantly positively affected metropolitan, urban, and rural students' MCTS. Still, PBL intervention was more effective in the metropolitan area in enhancing students' MCTS than in urban or rural areas. This study suggests Indonesian government conduct the equable distribution of competent teachers and complete the facility and infrastructure of schools in each geographical location.","PeriodicalId":385020,"journal":{"name":"Al-Jabar : Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124595168","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Geogebra helps students identify and improve their visual skills in understanding mathematical concepts. This study aims to explore the mathematical technology knowledge of teachers based on Geo-Gebra applications in mathematics learning by integrating content and technology. This research is qualitative research that uses a single-case design to explore the teacher's mathematical technology knowledge and involved teachers (N = 8) from the field of mathematics at universities in the Central Region of Indonesia. Three types of data were collected during one semester, weekly observations, progress report description; and the developed learning design. This research shows that there are two categories of teachers' mathematical technology knowledge characteristics. First, moderate teachers produce simple designs and are still influ-enced by numerical and algebraic approaches. Second, expert teachers can use analytical skills to design step-by-step learning, involving animation to explain concepts, and the resulting designs are quite complex and structured. These two findings are useful for building teacher competencies regarding using GeoGebra ap-plication-based technology in learning mathematics.","PeriodicalId":385020,"journal":{"name":"Al-Jabar : Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika","volume":"92 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130108008","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This type of research is descriptive qualitative research, the research subjects are students of class Va and class Vb Muhammadiyah Elementary School 01 Paron, totaling 19 students in class Va and 20 students from class Vb, homeroom teachers of class Va and Vb and the principal of SD Muhammadiyah 01 Paron. The object of the research is the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students, especially in mathematics subjects on the material of arithmetic operations on fractions using blended learning model learning. To test the validity of the instrument in this study using data triangulation. The research data were obtained from observations, interviews and learning outcomes tests. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and descriptively qualitatively. The results show that the average learning outcomes of mathematics using online learning models are still not effective because many students are constrained about mathematical concepts and students' understanding of fractional numbers is still low. With this, blended learning is a learning solution for elementary school students to improve learning outcomes and improve mathematical concepts. The average mathematics learning outcomes of students who are taught using a digital-based blended learning model are 70 while the average value of students who are taught using a conventional model is 57.5, it appears that the overall implementation of the learning process in the experimental class using a digital-based blended learning model is more supportive in mastering the material than in the classroom. control using conventional learning models.","PeriodicalId":385020,"journal":{"name":"Al-Jabar : Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika","volume":"26 8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116593003","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to design mathematics teaching materials on geometry materials using AR to improve spatial thinking skills. This study uses the Plomp model development research, which consists of three stages: preliminary, prototyping, and assessment. It is important to note that this paper reports results from preliminary. This article reports by collecting data through literature studies and questionnaires to mathematics teachers in the Rokan Hulu district. The findings reveal that the use of GeoGebra as an AR builder in Indonesia still needs to be created because of the excellent potential of Geogebra. AR learning resources on geometry at the high school level also need to be improved.
