To meet the power conditioning requirements for fuel cells, multi-leg converters with phase interleaving pulse-width modulation is one of the popular solutions. Implementing the interlacing pulse-width modulation needs phase-lock circuits, however most digital signal processors don't support this function. The presented novel phase-interleaving pulse-width modulation minimizes the number of timer to one, and is especially useful for digital signal processors without phase locking support. Finally, experimental results of a 1200 W prototype are given to justify the feasibility of the presented pulse-width modulation through a digital signal processor without the phase locking function, TMS320F2812.","PeriodicalId":384583,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2007 - 2007 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114590192","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this design, it is found that the impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna can be larger than that of without extended edges. Also, the operating center frequency of the proposed wideband antenna can be lower and this makes the antenna size relatively get smaller than the typical one. From experimental results, the proposed antenna has the similar performance of antenna characteristics to a typical rhombus slot antenna.","PeriodicalId":384583,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2007 - 2007 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115072958","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The processed data in IDCT&IQ will be transferred to external memory. When applying the de-blocking filter process, the data in external memory will be loaded to de-blocking filter and processed data stored back to external memory again. Therefore, the decoding process in reference software wastes a lot of time on unnecessary memory access. In this paper, we use a 4x4 block as an operation unit in the decoding process to reduce memory access. The processing order is changed in the de-blocking filter to be based on decoding order of 4x4 block. By using our proposed method, the average decoding MIPS of one frame are improved by about 3.6 times faster as shown in the simulation results.","PeriodicalId":384583,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2007 - 2007 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116316813","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We propose the adjustable-time-counter-based (ATCB) burst assembly and the non-real time packet retransmission mechanisms, and apply them in the ingress router of the OBS Internet backbone to guarantee the quality of real time applications and lossless requirement of non-real time services. Simulation results show that the burst blocking probability using the ATCB burst assembly, compared with that using the time-counter-based (TCB) and burst-length-threshold-based (BLTB) mechanisms, acquires an improvement. The delay, loss and jitter of real time service conform to the QoS requirement. Meanwhile, the delay of non-real time service also falls in the acceptable range.","PeriodicalId":384583,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2007 - 2007 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"110 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129876501","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The UKF is a derivative free estimator which does not compute Jacobian matrices and therefore offers significant computational advantages over the extended Kalman filter (EKF). A new model structure is proposed for estimation of amplitude and frequency. The performance of UKF has been compared with those of EKF considering signals which can represent worst case measurement and network conditions in a typical power system. Results of simulation demonstrate that under identical conditions, the performance of both UKF and EKF are similar with less computations with UKF.","PeriodicalId":384583,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2007 - 2007 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"471 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128371032","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
