South Asia is the world's fastest urbanizing region, and its carbon emissions are influenced by the building industry, which accounts for more than 30% of the region's energy-related carbon emissions. This issue poses a serious policy concern as South Asia is vulnerable to the impact of carbon emissions and climate change. The relationship between urbanization and carbon emissions in South Asia is the concern of this paper.\u0000Objective: To analyze the relationship between urbanization and carbon emissions in South Asia and to test the validity of urbanization Kuznets' curve for the region.\u0000Method: Modified version of the Influence, Population, Affluence, and Technology (IPAT) model framework is used to study the relationship between carbon emissions and urbanization in South Asia. The data spans from 1970-2019.\u0000Results: The study finds a significant positive relationship between carbon emissions and urbanization, population, and population structure. The existence of Urbanization in Kuznets’ Curve for South Asia is proved.\u0000Implication: The positive relationship between carbon emissions and urbanization poses a major policy challenge in South Asia. With increasing population and economic growth, sustainable urbanization must be a top priority for policymakers in order to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Therefore, banks and other financial institutions must uphold their financial soundness and stability, given their crucial economic role.\u0000Objective: The study examines the influence of macroeconomic factors such as Inflation (INF), Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth, Inflation Rate (INF), the Exchange rate (ER), Money Supply (M2), and NEPSE Index on bank stability of commercial banks in Nepal.\u0000Method: The study obtained data from the Nepal Rastra Bank, which published a quarterly economic bulletin and database on the Nepalese economy from 2001 to 2022, and applied the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) technique for evaluation and interpretation.\u0000Result: The findings from this study indicate that the interest rate and money supply (M2) have a positive and significant impact on bank stability. Similarly, the NEPSE index has a positive but insignificant impact on bank stability. However, bank stability is negatively and statistically significantly impacted by both the exchange and inflation rates.\u0000Conclusion: The primary findings of the research indicate the presence of a sustained and stable association between bank stability and macroeconomic variables. The ARDL techniques analysis demonstrates that GDP growth, inflation, effective exchange rate, and NEPSE index are statistically significant factors, implying that they have a robust capacity to clarify the evolution of bank stability in Nepal.\u0000Implications: Therefore, the study suggests that policymakers and regulators need to pay close attention to macroeconomic indicators such as inflation, interest rates, money supply (M2), and exchange rates to ensure the stability and soundness of the banking system. The research also highlights the need for commercial banks to closely monitor macroeconomic developments and adjust their strategies accordingly to mitigate risks and maintain stability.

Market price per share is selected as the dependent variable, while earning per share, price-earnings ratio, book value per share, return on assets, and size was chosen as firm-specific independent variables, while inflation, broad money supply and gross domestic product (real) were taken as external factors. In order to fulfil these objectives, the data were collected from the banking and financial statistics and annual report published by Nepal Rastra Bank and the annual report of selected banks which is based on panel data over 11 years of the period from 2012 to 2022 of selected 13 out of 21 commercial banks of Nepal. The Descriptive and casual relationship research design has been used using secondary data. The multiple regression models were estimated to test the impact of firm-specific factors on the share price of Nepalese joint venture commercial banks; results show that variables like earnings per share, price-earnings ratio, book value per share and return on assets are the major determining stock price having a significant impact on the price of share except for the size of the firm having an insignificant impact in the context of joint venture commercial banks of Nepal.\u0000Objective: The main purpose of the study is to examine the factors affecting the share price of commercial banks in Nepal, considering the internal and external factors like size, EPS, P/E Ratio, BVPS ROA, Inflation, broad money supply and gross domestic product on the stock price.\u0000Method: The pooled cross-sectional data analysis has been undertaken in the study. The research design adopted in this study is causal-comparative type as it deals with the relationship of firms' specific and macroeconomic variables with market price per share. From the year 2012 to 2022, i.e. 11 years, samples are taken from 13 Commercial banks in Nepal.\u0000Findings: Regression analysis shows the relationship between the internal and external factors influencing the share price of listed commercial banks of Nepal.\u0000Implication: The result of this study suggests investors should pay attention to BVPS, P/E ratio, ROA and Inflation before making any decisions regarding the investment in stock of commercial banks. The results of this study uncovered new evidence from the Nepalese perspective, which is considered to be valuable to the market participants. Thus, the findings of this study seem to be particularly useful for equity investors and fund managers as they can watch out for these significant factors while estimating stock returns and predicting share prices.

They socialize through mobile and internet interaction. College-level students spend too much time playing online games to interact with others.\u0000Objective: The study examines the relationship and impact of online gaming on students' academic performance in the Kathmandu Valley.\u0000Design/methodology/Approach: The study has adopted descriptive and causal research designs to deal with the various issues raised in this study. Respondents were BBA-level students in the Kathmandu Valley. We selected four hundred respondents through a purposive sampling technique. Primary data was the main source of information. It was quantitative. The study used a well-structured survey questionnaire to collect the data. We analyzed the data using mean, median, standard deviation, variance, correlation, and regression analysis.\u0000Findings: The analysis indicates that the frequency of online gaming has a certain impact on students' academic performances, although this impact is relatively minor. Moreover, the data reveal that online gaming does affect academic performance in terms of gender.\u0000Conclusion: Concerned institutions need to organize awareness programs to inform of the positive and negative impacts of online gaming frequency to students, parents, and teachers. Teachers can use only educational games to get students involved in the classroom because game apps related to course books are made to test a person's ability to think critically and analyze information so that students can solve more complicated problems. Future researchers can study other factors that affect students’ academic performance with a larger sample size and from a wide area using quantitative data to address the research problem.

Specifically, the study evaluates indicators such as the simple moving average, moving average convergence and divergence, relative strength index, stochastic oscillator, and Bollinger Band.\u0000Design/methodology/approach: The study utilizes a descriptive and quantitative research design. Daily closing index data of NEPSE and its six sub-indices are analyzed for a substantial period, ranging from 1st September 2012 to 31st August 2022. The performance of the technical indicators is examined through modeling, backtesting, and statistical analysis. The technical trading rules of each indicator are incorporated into the modeling process, and the results are analyzed using different performance metrics. Furthermore, the predictability of the indicators is tested through standard statistical analysis and bootstrap techniques utilizing a random walk model.\u0000Findings: The results of the study reveal that the technical strategies, as represented by the analyzed indicators, generally support the effectiveness of technical analysis in the NEPSE. However, the relative strength index stands out as an exception, generating negative returns. The second stage of the analysis indicates that the simple moving average, relative strength, and Bollinger band fail to generate significant returns in certain indices. The findings from the bootstrap techniques further contradict the forecasting ability of technical strategies in the NEPSE, raising questions about their real performance in the Nepalese stock market.\u0000Practical Implications: This research provides valuable insights for investors, traders, and market participants in understanding the nuances and limitations of technical analysis in the context of the NEPSE. The findings suggest that technical indicators, notably the relative strength index, should be interpreted cautiously and that investing decisions should take into account additional factors. The study contributes to the ongoing discussion on the effectiveness of technical analysis in the Nepalese stock market, assisting practitioners to make informed decisions and better understand market dynamics.

Agriculture is the main strength for the development of trade and the service industry. Agriculture has become the backward linkage for trade and service. The contribution of expenditure is vital for the growth and agricultural development of Nepal.\u0000Objectives: The purpose of the study is to determine contribution of expenditure to the agricultural economic growth in Nepal.\u0000Methodology: The descriptive and causal research designs were used for the study. Annual time series from 1974/75-2020/21 was used as the data. The research used the Auto-Regressive Distributed Lag model (ARDL) approach of cointegrationa. Moreover, unit root test, bound test, residual diagnostics and normality test were used.\u0000Results: The empirical result indicates a short run good association between the agriculture labor force, gross fixed capital formation, capital expenditure and total food crops and long term collaboration between the agriculture labor force, gross fixed capital formation, total food crops and total cash crops. The disequilibrium is corrected in the one lag period with a speed of adjustment of 0.07 per cent.\u0000Conclusions: The study concludes that there is an association between government expenditure to agriculture growth of Nepal. So, government spending and agriculture expansion are associated in the long run.\u0000Implications: Government expenditure must increase to escalate the economic growth of agriculture, reflected via a source of economic growth in Nepal.\u0000Originality: The study is purely original and nowhere published yet. However, there has been a lack of clear scientific research evidence to understand which service quality dimension leads to customer repurchase in café.\u0000Objectives: The study aimed to determine the relationship between service quality and customer repurchase intention in cafés.\u0000Methods: A descriptive research design was used, using cross-sectional data collected from 160 respondents. We used correlation analysis and descriptive statistics to analyze the data using SPSS.\u0000Results: The findings showed that 80% of the respondents have a high repurchase intention from cafes in Kathmandu. The study identified reliability as the most important dimension determining customer repurchase intention, followed by tangibles, assurance, responsiveness, and empathy ranked the lowest. All the dimensions affected customer repurchase intention except responsiveness, which was statistically insignificant to customer repurchase intention. Demographic factors such as age, marital status, employment status, annual income, and the number of years visited in cafes create differences in customer repurchase intention. Interestingly, academic qualifications did not make any difference.\u0000Conclusion: The respondents exhibited that they were likely to repurchase. This study aims to assess factors influencing employees' work-life balance in the commercial banks of the Kathmandu Valley.\u0000Design/ Methodology: We used descriptive and inferential statistics to statistically assess the data collected through structured questionnaires in line with the explanatory study design to examine the cause-and-effect connection. The Kathmandu Valley's 264 commercial bank employees' data are collected, and structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used to evaluate it. We used the 5-point Likert scale as the primary data collection method in KOBO Toolbox.\u0000Findings: Findings reveal that most of the respondents working in the commercial bank are female and have completed a master’s degree and above educational level. The SEM result indicates that personal and organizational predictors and life satisfaction significantly relate to work-life balance. In contrast, life satisfaction mediates between dependent variables (Work-Life Balance) and independent variables (i.e.personal predictors and organizational predictors).\u0000Conclusion: There is no flexible time for work in commercial banks. The study shows long working hours, whereas most employees face challenges because of working conditions. Thus, commercial banks should reduce work pressure, maintain a positive working environment, and discourage overtime culture to improve work-life balance.\u0000Recommendation: The study recommends schedule flexibility, reducing workload and revising organizational policies to enhance work-life balance.

The relationship between income and consumption referred as MPC. \u0000Objectives: The main objective of the study is to find the relationship between current income and current consumption at the national and local levels.\u0000 Methods: During data analysis, we collected cross-sectional data (current income and expenditure) using a questionnaire from the study area. However, the time series data were obtained from a secondary source, and the econometric model was built on the absolute income hypothesis (AIH).\u0000 Results: MPCs have four different values. One is for the national level, and three are for the local level. The MPCs from cross-sectional data were derived according to the high, middle, and small income levels. The national MPC is 0.0000117 and local-level MPCs are 0.55, 0.46, and 0.92. The MPC of the middle-income group and national levels were not significant however the other two are significant.\u0000Implications: The present study shows that the consumption and income relationship is stronger for high-income and low-income groups than for the middle-income and national level. However, the study was limited to rural individuals with agriculture as their primary occupation, and other factors such as debt, savings, and population size were not considered. The facts do not support the national level econometric consumption function. Therefore, we concluded that income is not the determining factor of consumption in the Nepalese perspective.\u0000Conclusions: The income level is an important factor in determining the consumption level of people.
