Consumers are increasingly looking for environmentally friendly and sustainable products as they become more conscious of the effects of their shopping decisions on the planet. Hence, utilising a survey in the Kathmandu Valley, this study concentrates on green marketing and its impact on consumer buying behaviour regarding green products.\u0000Method(s): The explanatory research design was adopted as the central research paradigm to discover reality. Non-probability sampling technique to select sample population. It used a convenient sampling technique: 403 respondents were interviewed with a structural questionnaire, where data was collected using the KOBO Toolbox. The data was evaluated by using both descriptive and inferential statistics. Structural Equation Modeling was used to analyse the relationships from 403 responses to see the impact of consumer buying behaviour using SmartPLS software. \u0000Finding(s): The study's findings show that Eco-labeling, Green Packaging and Branding, Green Products, Premium and Pricing and Environmental Concerns and Beliefs have shown a direct positive significant influence on Consumer Beliefs towards the environment. Lack of education and awareness are two critical challenges of green marketing. The managerial challenges and solutions are that promotion and awareness are crucial in advancing green marketing. Companies should successfully promote their eco-friendly products to consumers and educate them on the advantages of green products.\u0000Conclusion: This study shows that the youth of Kathmandu Valley are highly aware of this. Hence, there is a considerable possibility of Green Marketing that is still untapped, according to the research.\u0000Originality: This research is original and is not published in other publications.\u0000JEL Classification: M30, F64, D91, C12, Q50
Background: Beginning in December 2013, the South China Sea dispute has emerged as a complex and highly contested issue with significant implications for regional stability in East and Southeast Asia. The Chinese military began constructing artificial islands anchored by seven coral atolls in the Spratly Islands until it had created land that it then claimed in October 2015. The construction is over 3000 acres and houses military equipment (anti-aircraft and anti-missile systems) and personnel for the People's Republic of China.\u0000Objective: From a realist perspective, the dispute reflects a struggle for power and influence among claimant states, driven by their desire to secure regional strategic interests. Neighbouring countries, recognising the implications of China's rise as a significant power, have responded mainly by using soft realist methods to accommodate or counter China's growing influence in a collective setting. This paper explores the geopolitical implications of the dispute and how other powers have chosen to engage with China and other regional actors.\u0000Methods: This article is a case study. The article analyses the case of the South China Sea dispute since 2000 through a realist lens. It first explains the lens and its focal points. Then, it examines the different facets of the dispute through this lens: economic interests, national security concerns, domestic and regional politics, and historical issues. The focus is on analysing China and ASEAN member-states as the primary parties to the conflict.\u0000Results: This lens provides valuable insights into the power struggles, self-interest, and security concerns that underlie the conflict. This paper provides a comprehensive understanding of its multifaceted nature by critically examining the dispute's territorial claims, legal frameworks, and historical context. It also explores the geopolitical implications and the involvement of major regional powers. Liberal solutions have largely failed, while more minor actors have cooperated on limited terms when their interests intersect using soft realist diplomacy and collective action within international arenas.\u0000Conclusion: The dispute has unveiled the limits of international diplomatic efforts brokered by organisations such as ASEAN to address aggressive behaviour consistently. Small and medium states are largely constrained from directly confronting China, have accommodated China, used international forums to advance power positions and prestige, and cooperated on other issues to indirectly address the dispute.

The easy and convenient use of digital payment systems has increased the adoption of QR payments. The study analyses customers' perceptions of QR payment in the Kathmandu Valley.\u0000Methods: The study uses explanatory research design to analyse the connections and causal effects between the determinants that affect the customer perceptions of using the QR payment system in the Kathmandu Valley. Non-probability sampling with convenient sampling is used for the study. Data is collected from 280 customers who have used QR payment services using the Structural Questionnaire through the Kobo Toolbox. Similarly, the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the Partial Least Square (PLS) version 4.0 is adopted for analysis.\u0000Results: The study highlights a growing trend among respondents, with an increasing number habitually using QR payments for 1-3 years. E-sewa, Fone pay, and Connect IPS are popular choices for activities like fund transfers and bill payments. Despite facing challenges such as technical glitches and debited funds from failed transactions, respondents view QR payments as a convenient method. However, these challenges can be addressed through regular maintenance, enhanced internet infrastructure, transaction flexibility, stable connectivity, and improved system performance.\u0000Conclusions: The result shows a significant relationship between the independent variables, such as performance expectation and facilitating conditions and the dependent variable, i.e., customer perception. It indicates that when users perceive higher performance benefits from QR payment, their overall perception improves. Similarly, when users perceive a favourable environment for QR payment adoption, their perception is positively influenced, enforcing the increasing use of QR payment.\u0000Paper Type: Research Type
Navigating the Impact of Foreign Aid: A Holistic View of Educational Aid Disbursements in Developing Nations
Background: Foreign aid is a fundamental instrument of international cooperation, intended theoretically to ameliorate the disparities in saving-investment dynamics, knowledge acquisition, and foreign exchange within developing nations. Despite over half a century of endeavours to evaluate its efficacy, the ongoing discourse on whether aid engenders predominantly positive outcomes in recipient countries remains inconclusive. Consequently, the nuanced impact of foreign aid on addressing challenges in developing nations remains a topic necessitating comprehensive and rigorous analysis.\u0000Objective: The primary aim of this study is to augment the existing body of knowledge within the domain of foreign aid by scrutinising the impact of education aid on improving educational achievements, particularly at the primary and secondary education tiers, by focusing on the overall, gender-wise, income level-wise, and donor-wise effect. This study focuses on delineating the influence of aid on the Primary Completion Rate (PCR), recognising its role as a precursor to shaping the Secondary School Level Net Enrollment Rate (SERNet).\u0000Method: This study utilised recent data on education aid disbursements across 50 low—and lower-income countries over 19 years (2002-2020). It specifically examined the cross-sector effects of this aid within the education sector, focusing on its impact on both the PCR and the SERNet. The analysis was conducted using the two-stage least squares methodology using the instrumental variables (IV-2SLS).\u0000Result: The findings revealed a statistically significant and positive correlation between education aid and the PCR, while no substantial relationship was observed with the SERNet. This discrepancy indicates that aid to improve primary school completion may not necessarily lead to enhancements in secondary school enrollments. Additionally, the analysis demonstrated that economic factors, governance, and school-related structural variables also play crucial roles in improving educational outcomes in developing countries.\u0000Conclusion: These outcomes suggest that the efficacy of foreign aid exhibits variance across different scenarios. The challenges concerning PCR and SERNet likely diverge, implying that assessing aid impacts singularly might be inadequate. Tailoring an aid to address specific issues could yield more favourable outcomes.\u0000Paper Type: Research Paper

No previous studies in the Nepalese context have examined the influence of demographic factors, including gender and generation, on attitudes toward CSR.\u0000Objectives: The paper aims to identify the general public's attitudes towards CSR in Nepal and examine the differences in attitudes toward CSR by gender and generation.\u0000Methods: The study employed a questionnaire survey method by taking a sample of 212 general public, including males and females from Generation X, Generation Y, and Generation Z. Descriptive statistics, one-way-ANOVA, and t-tests were used to analyse the collected data.\u0000Results: Although the general public of Nepal demonstrates above-average agreement on the four different business responsibilities towards society, they believe that the philanthropic responsibility of business is most important, followed by legal, economic, and ethical responsibilities. The t-tests and One-Way ANOVA tests show no statistically significant differences in attitudes toward CSR based on gender and generation, indicating that the demographic factors do not significantly influence participants' attitudes towards economic, legal, ethical, and philanthropic responsibilities of business towards society.\u0000Conclusion: The results show that Nepal's general public perceives philanthropic responsibilities as the most important. The findings also indicate that gender and generation do not influence people's attitudes towards CSR.\u0000Implications: The results suggest that business organisations in Nepal should consider all economic, legal, ethical, and philanthropic responsibilities while designing and implementing CSR strategies to get favourable evaluations of their CSR practices from the general public regardless of gender and generation. In 2020 alone, remittance flows to low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) reached $540 billion. In many developing nations worldwide, including Nepal, migration has become an important source of income and foreign exchange, providing critical support for households and contributing to economic growth.\u0000Objective: To investigate the effect of various macroeconomic factors on remittance inflow in Nepal.\u0000Methods: Using the ARDL approach to co-integration, the study examines Nepal's short-run and long-run macroeconomic determinants of remittances, utilising annual data from 1993 to 2021.\u0000Results: The study finds that global oil prices, nominal exchange rate, and domestic output influence remittance inflow in Nepal. None of the macroeconomic variables affect remittance inflow significantly in the short run, while the oil price is positive and significant in the long run. The study also identifies the existence of a correction mechanism in the case of remittances whenever deviations from the long-run equilibrium occur. Furthermore, a negative association between domestic GDP and remittances corroborates the common finding that remittances are countercyclical and altruistic.\u0000Implications: The study has major policy implications, highlighting that remittance inflows are affected by external factors and that there is a negative relationship between domestic GDP and remittance inflows.
