The study employs convenient sampling techniques. The tendency of students to make college choice decisions depends on the colleges’ academic programs that they have concentrated. \u0000Result: The results suggest that college should focus their eyes to apply different types of academic programs, adopt quality education in terms of appointing highly qualified faculties and even contribute certain margin to social support, employability of the students over the market and position of enrolment of the students in higher education. These characteristics enable the colleges to run and sustain in the long run. \u0000Conclusion: To mitigate the moderating impact on college choice, the variable gender is used, however, its impact on the relationship of college fees and college choice is not supported by the study.

There has never been any clear consensus amongst economists about the nature and extent of influence that population has on the economic growth of a country. Objective: This paper aims to explore the influence exerted by the age structure of the population on the economic growth of a country. Method: The paper uses secondary data to find the relation between Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita levels of countries and their respective Age Dependency Ratio.Result: There is a significant negative relationship between them, which implies that, if a country has a rise in a high proportion of the dependent population, per capita income will tend to be lower. Conclusion: The paper then makes a special study of the prospect of demographic dividend in India. The country is in the third phase of demographic transition, implying that the proportion of the working-age population is greater than the dependent population. This provides an ideal condition for the Government to reap the benefits of demographic dividend and achieve higher levels of economic growth.

This process is considered a challenging phenomenon for the financial system. To stop this exploitation of the financial system, anti-money laundering (AML) regimes are formulated. However, the general public acceptance is crucial to make the framework viable. Public awareness of Anti-money Laundering (AML related factors helps people enforce the AML regimes properly. \u0000Objective: The paper aims to examine the relationship between awareness of AMLrelated factorsand acceptance ofAMLregimes. Along with that, the study accessesthe level of awareness and level of acceptance among bank clients about AML factors and AML regimes respectively. \u0000Methods: Based on descriptive and inferential research designs, the study made use of primary data collected through a structured questionnaire surveyed on 168 bank customers who are of 18 years and above, using a convenience sampling technique. Descriptive analysis is used to access the level of awareness and acceptance, whereas the relationship between awareness and acceptance is examined through correlation and regression analysis. \u0000Results: Bank customers are moderately aware of money laundering (ML) andterrorism financing (TF), and anti-money laundering (AML)along with Know Your Customer (KYC).However, they are somewhat and slightly aware of AML investigation agency and AML legislation respectively. Similarly, they have a slightacceptance attitude towards all AML regimes. There is a significantlypositive relationship between awareness of AML related factors and acceptance for AML regimes. \u0000Conclusions: Bank customers of Nepal have a comparatively higher awareness of ML, TF, AML and KYC than that of AML legislation and AML investigating agency. However, they have a similar acceptance attitude towards all three AML regimes. Acceptance for AML regimes can be increased by enhancing the awareness of AML related factors among the bank customers. The study, therefore, recommends the concerned authority like FIU-Nepal and NRB to undertake public awareness campaigns in related areas. \u0000Implication: Study findings can be useful to policymakers and concerned authorities to formulate positive national policies sensitive to AML.

The task is particularly daunting to developing societies as they are considered more susceptible to climate change because of their exposures and sensitivities to climate-related extremes, and especially because of their restricted adaptive capabilities to deal with the effects of hazardous events. \u0000Objectives: This research attempts to seek evidence of adaptation undertaken as a result of climate change-induced impacts and analyze the factors affecting the capability and strategies of climate change adaptation by small scale farmers in Nepal. \u0000Methods: A descriptive cum correlational research design was employed in the study following a quantitative approach. Using a convenience sampling method, primary data for each variable was collected from 67 small scale farmers of Tinau River Basin located in the Western region of Nepal. 5-Point Likert Scale questions were prepared and pilot testing was conducted to collect the responses. Descriptive statistics, Kendall Rank Correlation and Cronbach’s Alpha (α) Test were used while analyzing the data and testing the hypotheses. The inferences were made at 5% and 1% level of significance. \u0000Results: The findings indicate that the small scale farmers in the Tinau River Basin are experiencing the varied level of changes in climate. It revealed the existence of some barring factors for adaptation, further, insisting that farmers are prone to suffer from capability losses due to climate change. \u0000Conclusion: The study concludes that small scale farmers are prone to suffer from capability losses due to climate change. Climate change effects are hampering their ability to cultivate the land, increasingly damaging their production, and causing lower yields of harvests. \u0000Implications: This study suggests that such influencing factors should be taken into prime consideration (while developing additional intervention) to enhance farmers’ capabilities to better cope with climate change effects; thus improving their adaptation measures for maintaining a flourishing relationship with the changing climate.

Among all, mass poverty, expansion of poor neighbourhood, inadequate supply of urban services such as water, sanitation, waste disposal etc. are mostly responsible for health risks of urban people particularly in low income areas. \u0000Objectives: The aim of this paper is to determine the health risks of the environmentally poor neighbourhoods in Chittagong city by exploring the discourse of pollution, risk, and stigma. \u0000Methods: The study is predominantly based on qualitative data collection methods like participant observations, a case study and FGDs. The method has delivered an in-depth understanding of the pollution-related risks, the physical and mental sufferings of the urban poor due to pollution. Though it is solely a qualitative study, the study is complemented by a quantitative survey method and personal interviews. \u0000Findings: The study revealed that there are two leading environmental risk factors– the structural setting of the neighbourhood and coping practices to everyday life of the poor settlers, who affect the neighbourhood environment. The poor structured living houses, shared kitchens in the environmentally hazardous area, dirty playgrounds, unhygienic latrines, and waste disposal sites near neighbourhoods enhance the risk of diseases and injuries for inhabitants. Similarly, lack of access to pure drinking water, fuel, are generating health risks. Consequently, dwellers, especially women and children, suffer from cough and cold, diarrhoea, gastric/acidity, worm disease, respiratory illness, scabies, headache, allergy, and jaundice regular interval of time. \u0000Conclusion: The study concludes that physical structure of the neighbourhood, and the physical and mental sufferings of its inhabitants are interdependent. To reduce the sufferings of inhabitants and their health hazards can be reduced with the combined efforts of the Government and the NGOs and the local people as well. \u0000Implications: This findings of the study can be useful to the concerned authorities of Bangladesh in planning appropriate policies to control pollution and minimize health risks.
